My original controller broke and I needed a replacement. I had my eyes set on the elite I had to buy a normal one at $70 due to supply and demand. Two weeks later I ordered the elite and have been so impressed. The signal for wireless is a lot stronger. I can walk to my kitchen and not lose my signal. Original controller was only good till the hallway. The overall feel of the controller is amazing. I'm still learning to use the bottom triggers, takes some getting use to. For me it was well worth the money. My game play has improved enough to be evident. Top kills in crucible for 5 games over random groups. If you need a controller or just want to play better this controller makes you feel like a boss.

Must buy for any Xbox gamer. The weight, the extra buttons. Quick triggers. The customization are all worth it. $150 well spent

I love the weight of the controller and the paddles take a little bit of time to get used to. The quality of this product is much better than the regular controller. I like the fact that it comes with a case to comfortably store the controller into.

I can't say enough good things about this controller. The paddles allow great button mapping and it's very nice to not have to move your fingers in first person games. Since all the parts are swap-able you can customize to your best feel. Buy this.

The 1st question most ask about this controller is, "Is it worth it?" The answer isn't simple. 1st it has to be said the build quality of this controller is outstanding, it is very much a premium product. It feels very solid when held and has a very smooth finish. The sticks pop on and off smoothly and it handles extremely well. However I found the quality of the paddles wasn't quite up to the rest of its components. They tend to fall out if pushed in the opposite direction. They also get pressed if you lay the controller down. After about a week I've removed both paddles and replaced the circular Dpad with the standard crosskey. I still enjoy using it but found I didn't really need the extra features.

If you're looking to increase your game skills this controller is great for it. I mostly play FPS game and was thinking about getting a SCUF controller to try and improve my gaming when I saw Microsoft announce this controller. I took the gamble on it and am in love. It's durable, easy to interchange parts, and very easy to re-map the buttons. The only problem I have with it (and that's because I grip my controller too tight) is that the paddles on the back are a little too sensitive for my liking. $150 is a great price too when you compare it to it's competition.

The controller handles well with the rubber grip and is smooth to the touch. It also has features that a regular controller does not have such as the back paddles and specific advanced controller settings. However, the control's price is too high

Pro's: Feels weighty, customization, interchangeable parts, optional flappers on the back Cons: No built in rechargeable battery, x button has begun to stick which is a concern, premium wired cable that never would stay plugged in.

Got this controller for my boyfriend when I bought us the Xbox one x. It feels so smooth and the customization is sweet. My regular controller feels like cheap plastic compared to his. I'm going to have to get me one too!

    The Controller for Serious Gaming

I was hesitant to spend 150 on a controller but after reading multiple reviews raving about it, and my original Xbox One Day One Controller starting to show some age, I decided to take the plunge, and boy am I glad I did! The controller's texture and weight immediately strike you as premium. The Analog sticks are smooth in action, with absolutely no friction when moving it around the outer ridge of its inlet. All of these features alone are worth the price tag, but adding in the customizable analog stick, hair trigger activation and paddles, and you have yourself the best controller ever made for a gaming console today. Combines the materials and components from top of the line tournament grade controllers, with the hacks and switches modders have been using for years, with the reliability of 1st party manufacturing.

Overall a good controller with decent customization. The paddles take time to adjust to, and button mappings and sensitivity are great. I'd give it 5 stars but the value isn't there. This should really be around $100. I would buy it again, and don't think I could go back to the standard controller.

Make no mistake, this controller is well constructed but takes a little time to get used to the paddles. I, sadly, tend to buy things that I'm only on the fence about getting. However, when I got the controller, I wonder how I've played with any other. The controller is heavy. And that's a good thing. The sticks and buttons are well made. The sticks feel good and are easy to switch out with the other kinds that are included. The "standard" d-pad is great. Easy movement. This can also be switched out. The triggers worked about the same and then you have the option to flip a switch for hair triggers. Those are a delight. The paddles. It takes a little time to get used to them. For one, I've not played with a controller that has had paddles. And for two, I want my fingers to rest right where they are... not good when you keep pressing them. I've had to learn to reposition my hands/fingers which incidentally has improved my play a bit. The paddles work as advertised. The app is pretty cool as well. I've messed with it a little. Mostly, I've created two profiles (those can be stored on the controller for easy switching between them) for the buttons and stick sensitivities. Switching between twitch shooting and sniping is incredibly easy. My only lasting issue is picking up the controller. I've yet to find a consistent way to pick up the controller without hitting at least one button somehere *usually a paddle). Annoying, but not a deal breaker. Overall, I highly recommend this controller if you have the money to spare. This controller is a steal if at $100 but at $150 it is a tougher sell for the average gamer out there. As good as it is, I would have had a tough time talking myself into the full price, but fortuntely, I had a gift card to offset some of the cost. I give it five stars for the controller... not the price.

I know the amount of money being asked for the controller might be ridiculous but having gone through 5 or so xbox 360 controllers the cost of having one that would last would be equal to or roughly the same cost of multiple controllers. Beyond that its a great controller feels solid and has great customization for gamers wanting to tweak their playstyle ( particularly FPS's). If you're okay with the price and want a better controller id say do it, or go with one of the intermediate controllers between default and elite ( dusk shadow)

Love the solid feel, custom thumb sticks, and the paddle buttons are AWESOME ! Good old Double AA batteries for quick swap out when dead (Personally, I love this!). Hair trigger locks are great for fast FPS games. The dual reprogrammable Button mapping is what really makes this controller stand above the rest. Now should it be triple the price....No, and many other opinions mirror this but combined with the superior feel, and features, double the price of a normal controller would be more in line. But a sale hear or there and a few reward zone certificates and you can make it just double the price. Then it's totally worth it ! Enjoy your premium controller

The extra weight feels good in the hands. Don't feel like I'm going to drop or break this thing. Still getting use to the extra buttons. I get stuck using them and lose track of the face buttons sometimes, so there is a learning curve.

I was skeptical on buying it. I mean, to pay double the price for a standard controller seemed a bit outrageous to me, even if I play everyday. I finally broke down and purchased one. I haven't looked back yet. The case is nice, keeps the controller clean and safe when not in use. The weight makes the controller feel better along with a durable feel. The cord it comes with is long for any reasonable dolistance from the console. As for button mapping, that's where it gets interesting. You can change every butto to do whatever you want it to. You can lock triggers for full swing/half swing. You can adjust the individual sensitivity for each stick and triggers, including dead space and when it engages. It really is a nice piece of tech that I feel gives you the edge if you're in to competitive gaming.

I preordered this controller and was a little hesitant because of the 149.99 price tag. Having played with it and even set it up for different games this is my go-to controller. Being able to change out the sticks is very easy. The sticks, d-pad, and paddles are removable and magnetic. Despite the magnets everything stays in place. The only issue I had was when I received it there were 2 scratches on the LB button. Best Buy told me they wouldn't exhange it because it was cosmetic damage and didn't affect the buttons functionality. Despite the scratch this has been my favorite purchase for the Xbox One. If you can find one, buy one.
