I really like this controller, more so than the regular one. I feel like this should have been the controller that should be have been bundled with the XB1 from launch. It feels great! Its a bit heavier than the normal one and the rubber grips make it a great piece of hardware to hold in your hands. The customization is great as well. I like the packaging it comes with and the carrying case. I refuse to go back to using the regular controller but for $150 it think a lot of XB1 gamers won't experience how well this is constructed. It doesn't feel cheap at all. The hair triggers are great. I didn't pay full price for this, and probably won't ever do that, but with rewards certs, I would buy another in a heartbeat!

    NICE LOOKING CONTROLLER

I got this controller like two days ago, I went to BB and I saw it I know is hard to find one these days and I grabbed it. To be honest is a nice looking controller well constructed device and heavier than the day one version. I was surprised that didn't come with rechargeable batteries but luckily the third party rechargeable batteries work with no problem and that is a plus. So far is hard for me to get use to the new paddles but in time I think I'll learn to master this baby. I'm now in a trial period if a like it I keep it if not, well I'll see. The price I think is high but is nothing if you're buying it for yourself, good luck if you are looking for one and be happy.

I am not a competitive gamer, but I do play a lot. Mostly FPS games and action games. I got this controller at the suggestion of a friend and I have to say I like it a lot. It feels like its made really well. Has a bit more weight to it than the standard controller. The travel/storage case, removable paddles, interchangeable thumb sticks, D-Pad and customization of buttons and sticks is really where it shines. It has several built in game profiles as well as 2 empty slots for you to create your own. All in all I have really enjoyed using it. Can I say that it has improved my game play or given me any sort of "edge" when playing? Probably not. Is it worth $150? Probably not. Would I recommend this to a friend? Yes. Its a great controller and I have not regretted the purchase.

    Great Controller for Serious Gamer

This is a great controller for the serious gamer. The construction of it feels more solid and better crafted. The metal components are a nice touch. Button mapping and swapping is taken to a whole new level with all the extra pieces and paddles. The case it comes with is great also holding all the components. Cons: It is expensive. I'm not sure it should be prices 3x a regular controller. For this price I would have also expected there to be a rechargeable battery feature. Out of the box, you need to use AA batteries.

This controller is build with very high quality standards. One thing I didn't see in the other reviews is how responsive the sticks are. They have a little extra spring to them. At first it seemed kind of strange, and I didn't even realize it was on purpose until I grabbed the normal version of the controller to help my son out with a game. At first I thought the controller was broken because the stick felt kind of mushy. I grabbed the second non elite controller to see if something was wrong. There was not, the Elite just has a superior feel to it. Beyond that, the paddles are great. It takes some time to adjust to the new buttons, but I had them worked out in a session or two. Many of the other things you have read are true including, great software, nice quality attachments ,and incredible flexibility. I'm no a pro gamer, but I appreciate this device. I use it on both Xbox One and Windows 10. The software and hardware works equally perfect on both. Microsoft did a really nice job.

Very Solid Controller with some useful features

This controller "ups the game" from the standard XBOX One controller. It is has a very nice texture grip and feels substantially more solid & heavy in the hand. This controller also adds new paddle features, which can be mapped for alternative button play, or easily setup for a configuration with your favorite game - several preconfi'd arrangements are available through the software on Xbox live.. The paddles come on and off "magnetically" letting you easily play without them. For me, some games are more difficult with the paddles in place, when I did not need them. Be careful, not all the battery replacement charger stands will allow you to use the charger with the paddles installed.I had an older charger/pack style that wasnt compatible, but new charger stands are inexpensive that will allow. Running on standard AA batteries seemed to have batteries die pretty quickly, not lasting more than a week with a couple of hours of use everyday. I recommend getting a rechargeable battery pack with stand.

      Hey there,

Thanks for sharing your love for your Xbox Elite Wireless Controller! We're especially glad you like how much you can customize the controller for your unique gaming needs. And good call on suggesting a rechargeable battery solution for heavy gamers -- we recommend the Xbox One Play & Charge Kit, which offers up to 30 hours of battery life on a single charge and can be recharged in under four hours. It can be found on BestBuy.com here: https://www.bestbuy.com/site/microsoft-xbox-one-play-charge-kit-black/9008298.p?skuId=9008298

We got an X Box One for the family for Christmas. My nephew had gotten one of these controllers and I was shocked at the price! I thought I would never see the need to have one. I saw an open box item at our local store which prompted me to research it further since it was substantially cheaper than normal. I saw a lot of reviews suggesting that it accentuated game play, so I decided to bite the bullet. I am NO gamer, so the programmability helped me a lot with configuring the buttons/functions so I could access commands faster. I do not see a real benefit to the hair pin trigger locks in the games I play. They are always turned on. I did see a huge benefit to the paddles, though. It can be difficult to push down the thumb sticks while moving around in a game, so I programmed the paddles for that instead. The different thumb sticks provided are very nice. My son uses this controller, too. He uses the shortest sticks while I use the longer ones. Everything swaps out magnetically, so it is a breeze to change to your liking. The app allows customization of stick reactivity, as well. You can set each stick to have a delay, instant response, smooth response, or other modified profiles. So if you are jerky with controls in a game, you can change the profile of the sticks, save them to a different profile, and use that profile for that game. You have access to two profiles in-game via a switch in the middle of the controller. The case is a really nice feature. It will fit the controller even with the longer thumb sticks on. The only draw back is that I wish it had rechargeable batteries for the price, especially if you are paying full price for it. But, with all of the features and details, I don't know if I could live without one now.

This controller is amazing! I mostly play shooters and it is great with the hair lock triggers and the custom button mapping and settings! The under paddles/buttons are a little different and take a few to get used to but they are a great addition! The sensitivity control on the thumbsticks are beyond exceptional and can be a lot of fun! If you are even thinking about picking this up you need to quit reading this and grab this now!

This controller is a tad expensive but is worth every penny. I loved the xbox one controller design before but this one just feels perfect in your hands. I also love the customization of the sticks, been running with concave for left stick and the tall xbox one stick on the right. Also the paddles are really nice to have especially in shooters, no need to pull your finger off the right stick to jump or reload anymore!

Very solid feel, excellent quality, and beautiful look. Jumped from the standard controller to this and will never go back. The paddles make gameplay so much better and the interchangeable pieces easily make this controller comfortable. It comes with a nice case to store everything so none of the pieces will get lost. Best accessory purchase for the xbone thus far. Definitely buy one if you can get your hands on it!

Of all the Xbox One controllers I have used this is by far my favorite. It has a nicer weight to it, better grips, and the extra paddles are really nice for certain games. The only downside is that your hands will possible be sore after the first few times of using it with the paddles since you are holding the controller differently. I would recommend this to all of my friends.

This is the best Xbox controller I've ever used. It's extremely comfortable to hold and has a great grip. The paddles are useful for many situations. Because of the way I grip the controller I can only use the shortest paddles. I prefer using a short paddle on the right bottom side. I like the way you can personally customize button mapping and most of all the trigger sensitivity. Great controller.

The Elite controller is quite pricey, but you do get a lot for it. It's heavier than a regular controller, however not so heavy that it induces fatigue, the grip on the bottom is really nice, and the swappable joysticks and D-pad are a great feature with the addition of the paddles. Outside of shooters I don't know if I'll use the lockable triggers, and I'm unsure how much the paddles will come in handy, but overall I'm really happy with this controller. Only thing I would improve is provide more short analog sticks, such as short ones that are convex in addition to the concave ones. The taller sticks are weird to use in my opinion.

If you find that your hand starts to cramp up when using a regular controller consider this one, thumb sticks are nice been using longer concave and my hands quit cramping , seems about 1/4 heavier, buttons on under side take some getting used to but makes very smooth game play once used to it, price is more then I would prefer for a controller but worth the money to me, grip is much improved over regular controller black silicon I believe. And yes it has customizable button's, swap trigger sides left is right right is left also left/right buttons how much travel trigger has to move for action to happen as well as thumb sticks swap sides and set travel needed for action and light on controller can be turned down, extra buttons are very nice for actions like reload don't have to leave thumb stick anymore .

A month in, and I can easily say this thing is worth the $140. Solidly built, customizable and comfortable. By the end of the first hour of playing with this, you will feel the difference in quality construction. The thumbsticks are smooth, the buttons are solid, and there are a dozen ways to customize buttons and triggers to suit your game play.

This is a great idea, but I have to say it's not perfect. The additional vibration motors in the triggers, the added weight, the solid feeling of this controller make this thing absolutely incredible. The magnetic attachment of all the interchangeable parts is a geeky touch that works well. My problem comes with the rear paddles. They're not customizable enough; I find they get in the way more often than not. I have fairly large hands, so I often end up clicking accidentally when clicking the sticks or simply making a quick reactionary move to the thumb buttons. I've tried dropping a pair of the paddles, but it's no use, my fingers are always against whatever set of paddles is there, and I always manage to hit them by accident, which is no good when playing FPS/twitch games. I want to love this controller, I really do, but I'm afraid I'm just going to have to give it up.

This is a great products. At first I thought that $150 it was too much, but after using it and feeling the quality its worth the money. The buttons on the back really make your gaming experience a whole lot better. The only compliant I have for this is that you would think that the controller would bring rechargeable batteries due to high price, but it does not.

This is the controller that should have been included with the Xbox One from the first day. I would have gladly paid $100 more for this item bundled than the Kinect camera. Build quality is solid; the extra weight makes it feel more able to handle the rigors of gaming. Paddles take some getting used to but, once you get the hang of them, you'll never go back.

I can shoot and revive my teamate woth ease in destiny. The software was ok, the newer version isnt as easy to program vs the original app. But still easy for most to use.

The moment you take this out if its premium box you can feel the quality in your hands. It also has some good heft to it. I love the faceted d pad and the metal around the rings of the analog sticks. I'm still trying to figure out the paddles but I'm excited to use them so I don't have to remove my finger from the right stick to hit the buttons.
