Amazing controller to use once you get the hang of it.. Being able to customize pretty much everything about it is a big plus and the materials are quality materials...nothing cheap about it. The price is steap for the average user who probably won't use the extra features.

This pricey item might just be worth it, particularly if you like spending money on quality input devices (like mechanical keyboards, for instance). Build quality is a good bit improved and heftier above the standard controller. The only drawback with the quality is that it is an oil magnet, with its unique rubbery plastic. But the stainless triggers, bumpers, and D-pads all feel solid from a material standpoint. The biggest failure of the controller is that the disc D-pad isn't really an improvement over the standard controller; the problem is that the mechanical triggers sometimes aren't depressed when you think they should be, so you can't really tell if you are truly triggering left and up, for instance, when trying to trigger the diagonal direction. It's frustrating that, once again, the Xbox has a weak D-pad—I recommend sticking with the standard cross D-pad option, because at least with it you can feel which direction you're clicking. All the customization options are what really make this a great value when compared to modded controllers. It's very easy to make very granular changes to the button configuration, or even adjust trigger/stick sensitivity and curves. (While all Xbox controllers can have a single global customized button layout with the new Xbox One updates, this controller lets you switch between multiple profiles with the app, and it stores two profiles on the controller.) I think your mileage will vary as regards the paddles. I could barely use two of them without accidental clicks, and 4 was unusable for me. But this is a fault of how I hold a controller, not a problem with the controller's design. The design is pretty impeccable in this regard, but I guess having other shapes of paddles might have helped me out. Overall, it's a great device, but it isn't perfect. I think you should get this to making gaming easier or more comfortable. I doubt it will do much to improve your performance. And it has problems that hold it arms length from greatness. It's not for everyone, but I like it.

I have been using controllers since the original Atari, all the Nintendo types plus PC and other system controllers. This one fits my hands the best, has the controls in an intuitive location and allows for changing out the paddles and buttons so you make it your own. The rapid fire lock feature just makes it even more in tune with how you like to play different games in different ways. Nice weight/feel in the hand, so far rather durable toggles, no real lag to speak of from control to system. A tad on the high side price wise for a gaming system control, but after purchasing the new 1TB Elite system that came with one, just had to get another one!

Couldn't be more happy with the elite controller! I love this thing so much that 3 of my friends have picked it up since I got it based off me speaking so highly of it. The weight is great, feel is outstanding, and paddles are great! Hate the feel of my old controllers now. I strongly suggest to anyone who is looking for the customization ability and looking to up there gaming. Very happy with Microsofts Elite Conroller.

Amazing build quality and full integration with the console. Tons of customization in the software and the hardware with the replaceable sticks and paddles. Couldn't ask for more.

This is the best controller I have ever used. It is extremely solid and the paddles on the black are interchangeable and well designed. High price tag but definitely worth it.

I just can't recommend this controller enough. If you're looking for a controller that you can modify the triggers, then this is it. Make sure you buy warranty from BestBuy because these controllers (as well as other controllers of this caliber like the SCUF controllers) have issues where the L/R stick start to drag. Thankfully BestBuy has an amazing return policy and can swap it out. My first controller I went the cheap route and bought it from Amazon. It ended up messing up within a year and I was out of luck. I purchased my second pair from BestBuy and have had no complaints!

As my summery states, the controller feels great in the hands, but the price is hard to swallow. I bought this mainly for PC gaming, and it feels great in the hands, the quality is a major step above the regular X1 controller. The paddles are great for Racers, the control sticks feel good and don't have the snag feeling the regular X1 controllers do when doing a 360 motion. The xbox app adjustments are great for getting rid of dead zones. Plus the Dpad is good, not a arcade stick replacement good, but good enough for a pinch in any fighter. Overall I recommend this controller, just I wish is was about 50 bucks cheaper.

After owning this for a month I can say it's a solid performer. I believe that it is overpriced but I am enjoying using it. It feels better built than the standard Xbox controller. It's slightly heavier but feels more rugged. I removed two of the paddles underneath because they constantly got in the way when trying to hold it. Leaving two behind seems like the perfect balance for me. I get a lot of use out of them when playing Battlefield 1 and I like that all of the controllers are magnetically held.

I had a hard time justifying the price for it for a long time and not sure there is enough value however I would buy it again .I love this controller I can’t say it enough. I bought my son one and immediately noticed the build quality seemed much nicer as this unit has more heft to it than regular controllers. The trigger locks are real nice as they reduce the trigger pull for shooting games. Where they really shine is the paddles. I use 2 of the 4 optional one on each side in Destiny 2. While they aren’t separately configurable they definitely help in game play and fatigue.

This controller is great. It is nice and heavy, easy to customize, and just feels good in your hands. It doesn't really make me play any better, but I'm happy to have it.

Out side of the specs you can read in the description this is by far the best premium controller ever made. The build quality is second to none! It's nice and weighty in the hands but not too much to be tiresome over a long game session. I will say using all 4 paddles on the bottom is hard to get use to (personal preferance), but I was able to adjust quickly to just 2. Been using it for over a month with Halo 5 as my main game and is a solid performer. Also have used it on COD and Destiny.

The Xbox One Elite Controller is a game changing product. I used to use the regular Xbox controllers but after using the Xbox One Elite Controller I can't go back to the other controllers. The controller feels very nice in hand and the magnetic portion of the remote is actually much better than I thought it would be. It doesn't take too much force to take them off but they also don't fall off as easily.

Once you get used to the rear paddles, you can do some serious damage with this controller. I would say this is a must if your game of choice are first person shooters. You can completely remap all of the buttons on the controller using the app on the XBox and the controller saves 2 profiles so you can switch between normal and custom if you'd like. This device has a fantastic grip and is really weighty. You'll notice how much heavier it is in the pads compared to standard controllers. A lot of reviews talk about shoddy parts and poor longevity, but just buy the Geek Squad protection for an extra 12 bucks and anything that goes wrong is covered with an immediate swap out in store. Can't lose.

I love this thing more than I was expecting. It's an absolute joy to play with and although it ain't cheap in MY opinion it is WELL worth the premium price tag. Get it, get it, get it.... play DESTINY (Kings Fall Raid), Black Ops, Halo, you will not regret it.

Do not buy this if you're struggling even a little for cash. Having said that, this thing is just a joy to hold. It feels solid and well made. I game mainly on the PC, and this has replaced my steam controller, Logitech, and my regular xbox one controller. The rubber grip is pleasant to hold. The extra paddles are a great feature when combined with programs to map extra keys to the controller. Be careful if you have kids, the magnetically removable parts mean that if you leave it lying around, you'll lose some pieces

The quality of this controller is very nice. The ease of switching accessories is very nice. I can't say whether it will improve your game or not, but for me in halo it is nice to not take my thumb off the aiming stick to do any other buttons I would normally use. Just make sure you get the settings the way you like. It is very customizable. I recommended this product to my friends that play and 3/4 of them have it now and love it.

Nice grip, nice feel. The weight is nicely distributed. The extra customizable paddles are great ...especially for first-person shooter games.

Absolutely the best controller and I am a die hard playstation controller fan. But this controller is customizable and feeling amazing.

This controller is worth the money for how nice it feels in your hands. The paddles on the bottom allow you to keep your thumbs on the thumb sticks at all times and really gives you an edge in PvP play. The controller has metal magnetic interchangeable parts that are a much higher quality than the regular controllers. I would definitely recommend this for the person that plays almost every day. My advice would be to spring for the elite Xbox one because it comes with the controller and a much better hard drive.
