The freedom to customize the controller to your gaming style is amazing. The paddles on the back take some getting use to but after awhile they'll seem like second nature. The build of this controller make you know you have a quality product. If the price scares ya, don't worry. It's well worth it. Even the fancy travel case and charging cord is cool.

I primarily play FPS games and this controller will be a nice addition to your XBOX. Paddles are nicely configured, the feel of controller is good - engineered well. I have a SCUFF that cost twice as much and feel this controller is better or as good. The controller app is a nice touch by Microsoft - I was able to figure out how to adjust the hair trigger to work while using the sniper class for BF4 game - using the hair trigger mechanism on the controller will not allow you to use a sniper class for this game but some adjustments and it works using the app in XBOX so make sure to download that For the money -- you can't go wrong with this controller - it should help you get a slight advantage at times during game play I'm no pro FPS gamer but I did notice some improvement in trigger control and game play in general. If you are one of those dominant players - it will probably make your game play that much better. Overall solid controller for XBOX

Bought an Elite Controller after my year-and-a-half old controller that came with the console had the left thumbstick break. The Elite definitely feels of higher quality and the rear paddles and hair triggers are awesome after you get used to them. Additionally, the ability to change the thumb sticks is really nice. The only issue I have is that the price is pretty steep for not changing much of the internals and I am worried that the thumbstick(s) may break in the same way as my old controller since the Elite uses the same thumbstick. However, if the controller holds up I'll be completely satisfied. TL;DR: Its about a $110-$120 controller when compared to the regular controller but because there aren't a whole lot of other options they can charge the $150.

Picked up one of these controllers since my roommate said it was amazing. At the time I was playing a lot of destiny and it really did help my PVP play. Having the paddles mapped to the buttons for things like sliding and reloading and switching weapons without having to take the thumb off the joystick. Only real negative is the price. Dont get me wrong, its nice, but it would be 5 star if it were $100 instead of $150

Great controller, has great grip and weight to it. I play alot of rocket league and the paddles on the back really help me pull off advanced moves. It's a bit overpriced but all in all I'd recommend it

The Xbox Elite Wireless Controller for Xbox One is a great controller, with crisp controls, buttons, and triggers. That said, I have not found a use for the triggers on the back side of the controller yet. They more often get in the way, and are set off by accident, often with bad in-game results. At least they are easily removable.

Awesome controller with a horrible flaw

The weight of the controller might be one of the best traits. Customization of the joysticks, triggers, button mapping, etc is amazing as well. Honestly, I would keep buying this thing until the end of time but... the adhesive that holds the grips (which are incredibly comfortable mind you) comes off way too easily. I am now on my third controller in 14 months which is completely unacceptable. Same issue with the glue coming off the grips every time. I'm going to have to switch it up and go in a different direction controller wise. You can see the residue from the glue in the picture below. Third time it has happened. I do not suggest buying this controller.

Game over. I have purchased the hack jobs from modded controller companies but they can't compare to this. The real thing. Quality. Metal parts. You won't have auto-fire, drop shot, etc., but if you had been relying on that then grow up and learn to play. Plus... There are still ways if you really want to cheat. I'm certainly not going to tell you how. This controller feels like quality and performs well. A standard MS wireless controller feels cheap in my hands compared to this. If you're a serious gamer, this is a must-have. If I was the designer I would change the shape of the paddles slightly and would include a shorter set of the rounded analog tips, but one of the great features of this controller is that these things are able to be changed out instantly and without tools! They are just held in with magnets! If they ever offer additional optional tips they will get more of my money. This controller promised a lot, but delivered more. Just a great piece of equipment. They were bold to call it "Elite", that word gets thrown around far too frequently, but this is an Elite piece of hardware. It should have cost more so that fewer people could afford it.

This controller is excellent. The build quality is amazing and it just feels solid. It's worth it for the build quality alone, but you get all the additional features and customizable options. You definitely get your money's worth and then some. If you are somebody that thinks the price is outrageous than this isn't for you anyway.

From the feeling of spinning the analog sticks to the buttons to the analog triggers, you know from the moment you hold this controller that it is the best controller ever made for gaming. Absolutely brilliant and leagues ahead of the regular XBox One controller. You won't want to hold a regular controller after handling this.

The Elite controller is not necessary, but after using it, I never want to go back to the regular Xbox One controller. The feel, the weight, the programmability, and the MAGNETS make this controller feel and look great. If video-gaming is a hobby or business you spend a lot of time with, do yourself a favor and treat yo'self!

Definitely a quality product. The thing is heftier than a regular controller and feels premium. The customization is nice. I especially love the ability to shorten my trigger's travel distance. I play a lot of Destiny and set my right trigger short and my left long. I gave it 4 stars.. Mostly because of its price. I'm not sure it worth the $150 price tag. Also, I'm not a big fan of the rear button design. I'm inly using on short rear paddle (to reload)... I found it to easy to trigger the paddles accidentally. Might have been better if they used shorter/smaller paddles, something more similar to what scuff uses. I was also disappointed to see they only included tall convex joysticks... Would have like to have the option. Ultimately it's definitely a step up from the standard controller and enhances the playing experience. The paddle placement will take some getting use to however.

This controller is everything I had hoped it would be. The weight of the controller is heavier than the standard controller and feels great. The ability to have or not have the paddles attached is awesome. TheRe is really too much to say about how great this is. 150 is steep, but has proven to be worth it. Do it. Do it now.

The controller has handled very nicely, so far as of the time typing this. I play comp games and the paddles under the controller are great for those that love multitasking. The only negative things i've heard prior to purchasing were some people have had their bumpers break. For the price you can't beat it when it comes to pro controllers. A scuf infinity will run you 225+, so what are you waiting for?

What they say is true. This controller is AWESOME but over priced so if you can afford it it is worth it. Give it a week or so to get used to the triggers on the back. The grip and weight is GREAT and I LOVE that you can dim the Xbox button light. My hand has started hurting more though with extended play because of new way of having to hold the controller but I can correct it by adjusting my grip.

If I would have calculated the price in to the rating it would be 4 stars. However the performance and function of this controller is so amazing, I gave it 5. The paddles add a whole new layer of gameplay. I love the weight and materials used to build. I ordered the Elite system as well and it will be here tomorrow!

First off it's packaged really well and comes in a case that you can use to store your controller when not in use. It feels so luxurious and heavy in a good way! Definitely isn't a cheap controller so you expect it to feel great in your hands. You can make so many adjustments and customizations it's so worth it!

I know alot of people were turned off by the $150 price tag when the Elite was announced, but compared to a Scuff controller which isn't nearly as customizable or nice (plus they are like $300), this thing is a steal! I love the paddles for FPS games, and they also were great for shifting gears in Forza!

Cant say enuff about this controller, its a Mod controller sanctioned by Microsoft. This is for both hard core and occasional gamer. The build quality is Excellent and is heavy compared to the standard controller. It may be expensive but worth it. So many ways to mapping of buttons and changing them too.
