Pretty straight forward ... If you're buying one of these you know why. You can easily avoid the retail $60 price tag if you keep your eyes on it. They are often offered up between $35-45 which is the best time to pick up a couple.

I mean it's pretty self explanatory.... If you want to play online, you NEED a Xbox Live Gold membership and why get anything under 12months? You'd just end up spending more money than you think you'd be saving by not getting it.

I bought this for a friend whose son was new to gaming. He loves it because it allows him to interact with other friends while playing his game. This card gives him one year of playing with others online. He is thrilled!

If you get an xbox and want to do anything online, get a live card. I like getting these as opposed to setting up autobilling. Yes, it's convenient, but if you don't use it, why be charged when your 12 months is expired.

The sales associate explained to us that we needed to have the Gold Membership subscription in order to game online and have all the access we needed. Glad he explained this since it was a better deal to get this in-store.

I bought this because I wanted to be able to play games online. I mostly bought it to play the new Star Wars game not released yet. I also like the added benefit of getting two free games each month.... Games with Gold

Spend more get better price per month. I hope MS keeps this subscription service going? In all it benefits the entire family to have a year long membership, not just the one kiddo!!! But they have to share though.

Love gaming, you will love the benefits of the Xbox Live Membership. I bought this for my son's birthday each year. The free games are many times over worth the membership fee. Try it, you won't be disappointed.

It was a good deal and my sons birthday and he was begging for it so we got it. He loves it. I personally don't see the difference between this and his PS3 but he clearly does and he is the expert not me.

Xbox live is always the way to go. The 12 month membership is a better purchase for the amount you would be spending versus the smaller options. I prefer the prepaid cards for my own security being online.

This is a must have, I never thought this would make my Xbox one experience better than ever, I was missing out on a lot, you even get free games twice a month, well worth the investment, am hooked!!!

Xbox live is great, nice to have when you want to play with friends online obviously or just dominate "nubes"! It is as advertised and that's all I got to say about that (in my Forest Gump voice)

If you have an xbox you need to be online - this gives you that - but the kicker is the free games each month. They have been overall very good each month, and you get them free as an xbox live member.

Xbox Live is a great service that includes great multiplayer access and free monthly games/exclusive deals. As opposed to the $9.99 monthly subscription fee, buying a 12 month card is a huge value.

I only buy Gold subscriptions when they are on sale. There is usually a sale from Bestbuy, Groupon, or Microsoft at least once a year. Don't waste your money paying the full $60 for this subscription. You can buy in advance and the additional 12 months will be added to your Xbox Live account. With that said, Xbox Live is a great service for anyone looking to play their games online.

Xbox LIVE is worth every single penny. Not only do you get the best support and service for multiplayer gamer, but you also get at least two free games every month that you get to keep (unlike PSN)

Purchased for use at a Rec Center to give online access for our games and our customers. We purchase it because it is requested and needed by our gamers. Love that it can add to their gaming experience

so much easier to buy one card for the entire year rather than fiddle around with renewing every month. I also like that I do not have to put my credit card info on the xbox in order to have live.

If you own an Xbox and plan to game online, this is a must. Also goes on sale occasionally but not a terrible deal for a year's worth of online that also includes monthly free games to download.
