Good alternative to buying the 12 month pass

I tend to fall into that category now since most of my gaming is on PS4. Being able to buy a 3 or 6 month pass when I get into an Xbox groove is a since option to have. The only negative is obviously that using this method will cost more money per month than the year pass.
