DO NOT BUY - WARRANTY NOT HONORED

    Posted
    unsatisfied

The product stopped working after 4 months. Best Buy told us to contact Microsoft. Microsoft confirmed that it is indeed broken but told us that warranty is only 3 months (notice that Best Buy product specifications say 3 years) and that we should go buy a new one. We called our local Best Buy and were told they would call us back - no word after two weeks. Called Best Buy customer service, were told that they would guaranteed call back within 24 hours - no word after another week. We called Best Buy customer service again and asked for a manager. The manager asked simply "so, what do you want Best Buy to do?" When we answered that we would like this treated as a warranty case given that their specifications say it comes with a 3 year warranty, she said "It was an online order. When you clicked the button you accepted all our terms and conditions and our terms and conditions spell out that we do not guarantee any of the product specifications." Having been treated in this unacceptable way, we asked to talk to a higher manager, were told that there is no such thing but that we could be transferred to customer relations. The manager refused to give her name even though asked several times. Customer relations hung up after starting to talk to us for a minute or so.

Got this pair on sale to replace the included headset from my xbox bundle (and the standalone headset accessory you need for the controller too) and I was immediately impressed with how clear everything was. Granted, the included headset was only a single earpiece and a mic and so any full headset is an improvement I thought that to get that level of clarity I'd have to buy one of the more expensive wireless/bluetooth headsets that go for 100+. So if you are the type of gamer who doesn't chat much online then I fully recommend this as a starter. Naturally, these headphones can also for non-xbox purposes but the mic isn't likely to work on many of them.

I was surprised on these headphones. I thought they may be cheap and break easily. I purchased on sale and figured they were going to a poor quality, but I like them better than the Turtle Beaches and Titans for the 360. I like the fact the microphone pivots up into the head band and prevents it from getting snapped off, which I have done in the past. They are not very heavy and it is comfortable on the ears. They are wired and only has wire going down one side. I dislike wireless headphones because of fighting interference and not to mention batteries. I give these headphones 2 thumbs up.

The stereo sound is great. This product is great if you live with someone or don't want to disturb anyone around you. Both the game sound and the chat come through the head set. My friends all hear me curse at the guy who just shot me clearly. The only complaint I would have is that you hear yourself muffled because both ears are covered. On the plus side you can control the volume and how loud you want to hear the chat and game volume. Its pretty much either one louder or the other, its not an individual control for each. Over all it is a good product.

We bought these for my son. They are great. He can hear everything, and we hear nothing. The salesperson said that they are directional so that you can hear if someone or something is behind you or to which side it is. I haven't asked him if this is true, but he has not complained at all about them, so I assume it is correct. (He was with me when the salesperson said it to us.) They were a little more than the regular since they match the camo coloring of the controller we bought. I cannot say if there are any other upgraded features than the coloring compared to the standard black.

As the summary states, this pair of cans is good, but there's a few problems that prevent them from being great. First of all, it's a stereo headset. Second, it crackles pretty often. Aside from that, I like the headset. It's comfortable and nice looking albeit cheap looking as well. It feels cheap too. It does come with a headset adapter so that's good. If you have a newer controller, I'd recommend buying a pair of Sony Gold Wireless Headphones and using them. They do work and they work great.

This isn't the best headset your going to find on the shelves. However for the price it isn't going to be beat that easy. You get the adapter, you get the cord for the controller update. The sound is alright but not as "Full" or adjustable such as a high end turtle beach set. However it offers other pluses such as no batteries to change out. Nice adapter with volume settings on it and it matches my controller as well. I am happy with it !!

Works well, chat and game volume easy to control and sound quality is nice. Originally got Turtle Beach headset that has major chat and sound issues and went to trade it in for this. Cheaper headset that turned out to work much better. Mic extension is slightly awkward, wish it was longer and you were able to move it more. Comfortable though ears do get slightly sore when wearing for long periods of time.

Headphones are great. Good sound quality. My three stars are only because the connection piece to the controller has caused issues. Sometimes the controller will just turn off mid-game. Sometimes the headset will be disconnected, even though it is still plugged in. I never had any of these issues with just the standard chat set so i can only assume it is the connection piece that comes with this headset.

I bought it as an opened box headset at a store in Augusta, Maine. Definitely worked fine for me and was very convenient. The cord length that connects to the controller left more than enough slack. Sound quality was awesome and I have a large cranium, but the I was able to adjust the headset enough to get a good seal around my hears for the head phones.

Yes, you have to buy the headset separate from the console, but to me it is more comfortable then the pair that came with the game. Got the headset as part of the system package at a reduced price, glad I did. The adapter for the Xbox One on the headset is a separate piece; it can be used with other headsets. Or even use the headset with other things.

    Low Usage Beginner Headset

This is a low usage headset for those that don't game frequently. Audio cable shorted out less than a year. Purchased headset Nov 2014, not used until after Christmas. The cable shows no physical external wear but mic and speakers cut out during game play. Moving the cable around near the jack confirms wiring is internally frayed.

I've owned a couple of turtle beach headsets throughout the years. I picked this set up just for the price and the look. It isn't the best surround sound headset, but it is equivalent to the cheapest turtle beach headset available for the Xb1.

All in all good quality sound. Mic is also great. The only thing I was not liking was the fact that it is wired. But for the price it is understandable. Very comfortable as well because it does not sit on your ear but goes around it. Played long hours with it on with little rest time. A great value!

For the price they are decent. They are comfortable for long sessions. But there is no voice feed back with these, so you can't here yourself talking. You can't tell if you are yelling or whispering. Also they didn't not last very long before they quick working. Glad I bought the warranty to go with them.

Bought mic since the original xbox wired mic crapped out on me the day before, price was adequate. Mic was outstanding until August 9, 2015 when the left side of the mic has no sound and there's no voice to hear from the mic. I would rather buy a wireless headset than to deal with a wired mic ever again.

My husband plays with people online with his xbox one. He has an expensive turtle beach headset and has always had connectivity issues. So we bought this one hoping that maybe it wouldn't have the same issues. However it did so we returned it. Otherwise I don't think he had any complaints about it.

I got these for my 11 year old son and he loves them! He said the only thing that would make them better is if they were bluetooth. We've bought other headsets for the Xbox and they have always broken quickly. These are still working great and are sturdy enough to hold up to my 4 boys!

I've used a few different gaming headsets and this is one of my favorites. I mainly purchased it for the audio adapter but find myself using the Microsoft headset over my older Tritton surround sound models. The Microsoft headset is very comfortable and the folding boom mic is great.
