I didn't purchase the Kinect when buying the Xbox One because I wasn't aware of the additional features it offered. I'm glad I went back to buy it! The Kinect can log in your player account automatically when it sees you, works as a game controller, let you use voice commands, works as a chat microphone for online games, will scan download codes for new games, can be used as a webcam for skype, will let you show up in your game streams, will control your TV and Cable/Sat box, and so much more! Make sure you pick up the Xbox One media remote too for a killer package.

I was hesitant at first to purchase a kinect. I was sold after I learned that xbox will be getting Cortana as an Xbox personal assistant much like windows pc and windows phones have. After using it I have to say it's well worth the money! Love that you can use voice or gestures to control your xbox and some games have cool features that use the kinect (Tomb raider for example). If that's not enough to sell you on it, the kinect also reads qr codes so anything you purchase for your xbox that you put a code in for (i.e. xbox live, Microsoft points for games, digital games bought in stores) no longer need codes for just scan the qr code!

Best part is the voice control, especially when you can't find the right menu or option. Dance Central Spotlight and Xbox Fitness is great with the Kinect, but more games are needed.

This is a great accessory for the Xbox One. It allows you to control the Xbox with your voice and actions. It also add some depth to certain games, wish more used it.

I love the kinect. It's not needed to be connected to the xbox for your console to work but it's a great option. Easy phrases to control your xbox.

The camera is clear and detects my presence very easily. I can't see myself owning an Xbox One and not having this. It makes everything 10x easier

Hey guys, Do not buy the XB1 without the kinect, it defeats the whole purpose of having the XB1. Get the Kinect no matter what and use it! Its awesome and I ow both consoles - PS4 and XB1. I love both of them; but I play COD and I prefer XB! for the COD community it has. Kinect makes it a breeze and the experience is flawless when you can record some awesome kills and you can launch invites etc just by your voice etc. GET THE KINECT!

I was happy this product came down to $100. It guranteed that I was getting kinect. For $150 I was skeptical.... I have limited space in my bedroom where I do most of my gaming, so I cannot utilize the core functions of the kinect (like dance gaming and other interactive gaming).... I just bought it so I could talk at my xbox one...."Xbox - go to youtube" ... "Xbox- go to settings" .... "Xbox - turn off" .... it's very sensitive and it hardly ever makes me repeat myself when I tell it to do something. Very Cool.

I was a little skeptical with buying the Xbox Kinect because I didn't think I would use it as much. I am in love with the voice command options when turning my tv on/off, turning the volume up/down. This is a convenient product and I would definitely recommend it to anyone with an Xbox one. The retail price is reasonable, no complaints really. Only thing I wish is that it would understand voice commands to change the TV source. I'm not a gamer so I have no experience with the kinect in that aspect. Great for general use!

I have my tv and satellite connected so i can walk in the room and turn on the xbox, change channels on my tv with voice commands. it can turn on and off your stereo if you need be. some of the search commands for bing and other areas need some fine tuning but light years ahead of the old Kinect. i can imagine it is going to improve with upgrades. one thing i would change is to turn on you say "xbox ON" but to turn off you say "xbox turn oFF" for some reason "Xbox off" does not work. so not intuitive initially but not a big deal now .

Amazing ease of hookup. Really adds a lot to the gaming system. The voice command is great. Would not want to be without one.

Got this on sale for $99 worth every penny. Brings the home entertainment experience together. Great to have when my nieces come over, they love to play those dancing games. Nice to have voice controls in apps and tv when enjoying a relaxing evening, Skype works excellent on the xbox it detects you are in front of the TV and sends the call to the system instead of nearby devices.

I purchased an XboxOne bundle that did not include the Kinetic Sensor. When I attached the camera to the console, it was seamless to setup the interface. Now what I enjoy most of the product is that it allows me to talk to the xbox and perform commands that I use to have to do with the handheld and manually type what I needed. Also now when I purchase a game, etc. that has a scanned imaged, the sensor easily reads it and registers the product. So much faster and a joy to use.

They have made huge improvement on the voice command. I'm able to turn my XBox One, TV and STB on all at once with the "Xbox on" Voice command. Lowering and muting volume is really nice using the voice command when playing games since you don't want to put down the controller as you are playing a game. I think its worth it just for the voice commands. Having the other features for gaming is just a plus. Note: Make sure you calibrate the Kinect every time you move it!

So I bought this because for $99.99 it pays itself. I also had a $15 gift card. I bought the insanity workout program and it's pretty cool. It's more a gadget accessory at the moment. Still learning how to use it but being able to say "watch ESPN" or another station and it automatically changes is cool. Going to read up on how to integrate with Xbox one video games to get the full experience. I would recommend it because the price is affordable.

Can Skype. Voice commands great camera. Great you turn Xbox off or use when you can't find the controller

It's a great addition to my Xbox One and it's easy to switch off if you don't want it running constantly.

It hears me very well and I have a large center speaker that the 360 kinect never could hear me over. Voice commands work well and functions as desired. The only downfall is there aren't near the game quality...hopefully YET. While Happy Action Theater is not an option on the One yet, I really hope they bring it back so i could then give it 5 stars. :-) No knock on how it functions, it just doesn't have game quality to support it yet in my book.

It's a great unit for the Xbox 360, but so far hardly any games available for the Xbox 1 Kinect... Yet.
