Customers are delighted by the Xbox One Kinect Sensor's voice control and ease of use, frequently praising its improved accuracy and fun factor. However, some users experienced issues with compatibility and game support, particularly needing an adapter for newer Xbox consoles. The sensor's size was also a point of contention for some customers.

I am a very big fan of the Xbox Kinect there are plenty of voice-activated features that will help your day a little easier from turning on the Xbox or TV in switching from Netflix to Pandora without touching a remote although it lacks on the game side once Microsoft unveiled their new Siri like voice automation this product will be awesome

I understand Microsoft is no longer focusing so much on the Kinect. However, for those that like the device, it's fairly difficult to buy the Kinect in a bundle with actual games you want. That's why I purchased the Kinect separately.
Anyway, although Kinect games may leave you wanting, the Kinect voice and motion control features for the Xbox UI is great.

I am really glad i purchased the Kinect for my XBox. It's nice to have all of the features, including automatic sign-in, Skype, voice command and the rest. I haven't used all of the features yet, but plan to in the near future. Only complaint is that the cord connecting it to the console is very stiff and heavy, but once in place, it's not a big deal.

Arrived quickly and works as expected. I'm not loving Xbox 1, however. Xbox 360 had fewer connectivity problems. Seems every time we start up Xbox 1, it signs us out and we have to sign back in. Then it may take forever for it to finally connect correctly. Although I'd recommend Kinect to anyone who owns an Xbox, I would not recommend Xbox 1.

This upgrade makes my home entertainment systems so much more user friendly. I can speak commands to change channels or turn off the entire system. Overall the quality of the unit is great and the ability to recognize different voices makes it so any one can use the voice commands. I would recommend adding this to your X-Box system.

Works great but I wish it wasn't so bulky. I am renting my house so mounting to the wall would cost quite a bit when I leave which doesn't leave much room for my tv, sound bar, xbox, kinect, remote charger, router. But overall that is just a personal issue not a problem with the product :) Tons of fun to use this product!

For what it does, turns my Xbox One on and off via voice. Allows me to add DLC via QR Codes with the 1080p Camera on the Kinect its great. IT also allows you take what I like to call Super Skype calls, thats pretty sweet. I would recommend this camera add on. I was able to pick it up during Cyber week and for that I think it is an excellent value.

Wave you hand and there is a whole new thing then the 360's Kinect. Swipe the page it is cool. and the picture that is has is so clear. good job Xbox.

A Must Have for the XB1

This is a MUST HAVE for the XB1. It changed the XB1 to a robust entertainment device. I literally use the Kinect everyday. I walk in the house, "Xbox On". My Xbox, TV and receiver all come on. "Xbox got to Netflix", etc. In addition to MANY other functions, the Kinect is what truly separates this system from any other game console.

We bought our console without the Kinect to save money a year ago, but wanted to get it now so my youngest kids could play the games where you dance and move. It has added some features to other games as well. We got NBA2K16 and Kinect allows you to use some voice commands during game play, "Timeout", "Double-Team", etc.

The Kinect is awesome when it works. Sometimes there are issues with the voice commands, they don't always work properly. The other downside is there are not a ton of games that use Kinect as a controller, and now that Kinect free consoles are so popular, there is little incentive for developers to continue to support Kinect.

I wish I had bought the bundle with the Xbox one!! I love this thing. I am able to turn on my xbox one, tv, and my satellite box all with one voice command. I can verbally make commands during gameplay, like "call timeout" during NBA 2k15!! Love it!!

I bought an XBOX one bundle without the Kinect at Christmas. The Kinect completes all the capability that the XBOX one has, so when Besrbuy had it for $50.00 off I purchased online. The product arrived in two days and packaged well. The kinect was plug and go with onscreen directional information. Love it

This kinect sensor is SIGNIFICANTLY better than the first gen model that came with the old xbox. The unit does not have a motor to track up and down as the previous, however the image clarity, amazing camera coverage, and added features (like direction sensing microphone processing and infrared) make it very functional.
The camera lens provides a very wide view. The walls are roughly 6 feet to each side of the kinect (placed in dead center of room). Each wall can be seen in the on screen preview starting about 3.5 feet in front of the sensor.
For Skype calls, it can sense who is speaking and digital zoom in closer on the speaker using the directional processing logic.....pretty cool.
My biggest complaint is its ability to pick up voice commands over any moderate sound that is being played.....anything over lower average volume will overwhelm it to where you can't speak new commands without lowering the volume. Hopefully microsoft will integrate the ability to speak voice commands through a headset or remote mic to overcome this difficulty, but overall the performance to recognize and respond to commands is adequate at minimum.

I love my Kinect sensor, I mainly bought this so I can play Just Dance. I love not having to carry something in my hands in order for the sensor to sense my movements. This is our go to whenever we have small get togethers. My family and friends all have fun using it. I gave it four stars because I wish they had more games that you can play on it. The voice commands is a nice touch. If you did buy the newest Xbox slim you will need to buy an adapter for it to plug into your console. On the bright side, if you previously owned a 360 or one console as long as you show proof of purchase by registering using the SN, and the Kinect as well, Microsoft will send you a free one by request.

This thing does it all. The Kinect recognizes me and automatically logs me into my xbox. It also can respond to voice and gesture commands. The Kinect is a must have for any xbox one owner. Also links to cable tv to command your system

I like the fact that all you have to do is walk in the room, and the kenect recognizes you and signs you in automatically! I was tied of signing in every time I wanted to play a game or watch TV. this also helps when your hands are full, you just talk to the Xbox One-Kenect and it does what you tell it!

My husband recently purchased an Xbox One for me. We finally got the Kinect a couple of months later when Best Buy had a sale. It was super easy to hook up and get started. It is a very cool addition to my Xbox. I think it was worth the money. We are just starting to play with all of the features.

I don't understand why there aren't more games available. The Kinect is a great addition to the system however it's a total rip off that an adapter is necessary and that it costs $50!
