Customers are delighted by the Xbox One Kinect Sensor's voice control and ease of use, frequently praising its improved accuracy and fun factor. However, some users experienced issues with compatibility and game support, particularly needing an adapter for newer Xbox consoles. The sensor's size was also a point of contention for some customers.

Fun accessory for the Xbox One

An easy to set up accessory, the Kinect sensor adds a fun dimension to the games that are compatible with it. The voice activation feature is nice but not as necessary as one might think. The down side is the limited, big name games that utilize such an accessory. Hopefully Microsoft remedies that soon.

The Kinect camera will enable you to use kinect games and features; most notably voice command. The voice command is significantly better than the 360 and is well worth the purchase if you don't like to hunt for your remote. I would suggest getting a $20 privacy TV mount if you're concerned about those things.

We bought this for our daughter and she absolutely loves it. At 1st i didn't want to spend the extra $99 bucks. But I'm glad i did. It's pretty cool that my daughter can talk to it. She'll say Xbox pause and it will pause her show for her. And xbox play and it will play the show again.

I bought a second XBOX ONE for my Family room, and the first purchase I made for it was this Kinect Sensor. it makes browsing the menus a breeze, and the voice activated commands (when supported) add another detail to the gaming experience. If you try it, you will not be disappointed.

I've put off buying the Kinect Sensor for a few months now, but I'm glad I finally purchased it. Its a great piece of technology and I like the added benefit of being able to power on and power off my Xbox One with voice commands.

Purchased this so is could hook up a Mediasonic HW150-PVC so I could run an antenna cable into the Xbox and record OTA channels. Works great. I use it to turn the Xbox on and go between apps. So far have been happy with this compared to the 1st Kinect sensor that we had with the 360.

Lots of fun. We use it for Xbox fitness and for dance games mainly. Great for signing in with facial recognition and allows to you make real time vocal play calls in Madden and nba 2k16. Just make sure no one is talking in the background or they may audible you into a run on 3rd and 13.

When we got an Xbox One for Christmas in 2016, I didn't plan to get a Kinect sensor at first; but after thinking further about it, and reading some of the reviews for the Xbox One Kinect (we had a Kinect with our Xbox 360 and weren't all that impressed with it) I decided to go ahead and all this to the Xbox One. I'm so glad I did.
I use the Kinect almost every day in one way or another. We especially like being able to have the whole family Skype with our oldest son and his wife while they are living in another part of the country. It's so much nicer than having to chat one at a time.

This seems to be a better camera and sensor. It is compatible with games that can somehow render a close likeness of the player and not just the silhouette as with the older models of Kinect. I just wish there are more Kinect games to choose from.

We really enjoy our Kinect. It does a good job picking up our actions and separating multiple people. Only complaint is it sometimes picks up casual conversation and if you talk about the Xbox, it might trigger on certain words. The price you pay for voice activation....

Because I have no one to talk to in real life I thought it would be handy to have Kinect. I am also way too lazy to walk up to the TV to turn it off and on sooooo Kincect it is. Be aware Kicnet does not talk back it just does what you tell it. Thank you XBOX & Kinect

Great add on for Xbone

While not necessary it does add some added functionality to the Xbone. Voice commands work well once set up. I have a sound bar and the tv sound and it still hears me for commands. Tracking is good...it does what it is supposed to and for the games. It is great for purchases as you just have to hold up a QR code and it is instantly redeemed to your account. It also works for recognition as well.
Cons...it is expensive and not really necessary and I don't find myself using it that often. Sure the novelty of it is nice but until their are some killer games their isn't too much of a need for it.

It works great and looks great. Reads your moves very well in games. Very well voice command in games. The ke icy can't hear you as well with background sound, so sometimes council voice commands suck. Over all it is a great device. Expensive but food for games and streaming.

The Kinect sensor works great with Skype. The wide area camera view, and ability to follow subjects, make it worth the $100. The ability to use with certain games is a huge plus. I was skeptical buying for $150, but the new lower price point is worth it.

The Kinect really i s a great addition to the Xbox One. Just all of the voice commands alone make it such a better experience. Also the games that you can get with it make a more family friendly experience. My wife who never games will play the Kinect.

I own one of the earlier releases of XBox One, and they used to come standard with a Kinect, so I am predisposed to the seamless connection between vocal commands and hand gestures. So when my kid sister got one for Xmas imagine my disappointment when I discovered they scrapped this handy add on. The sales rep tried to convince me that Microsoft had received too much flack about storage space constrictions, and that this was the Trade off. A Terrabyte for a Kinect. Well I for one prefer to have the full media connectivity over excess storage space, since most of the media streams from the Internet anyway. But at least they still offer these units as a separate accessory. There are a lot of great perks that newcomers are being cheated out of, for example telling the Xbox to swap weapons, and user interaction for those games that offer such usage of the interface.

Kinect gives better functionality to the Xbox One. It adds voice commands, visual recognition and adds an additional set of games that can be played. It was easy to hook up and easy to learn how to use it. I also got it on sale which makes it an even better value.

I love the easy use of the camera to turn on and pause and mute my tv. I bought two of them one for each of my xbox ones. The living room one is hooked up to a receiver making it not as convenient to use as the master bedroom one but it still gets the job done.

I got this as replacement to my Factory provided day one edition Kinect. It died at the beginning of August I found this on sale and was pleased to plug it in and find it working perfectly. I'm happy to welcome Cortana back into my home
