Customers are saying

Customers are delighted by the Xbox One Kinect Sensor's voice control and ease of use, frequently praising its improved accuracy and fun factor. However, some users experienced issues with compatibility and game support, particularly needing an adapter for newer Xbox consoles. The sensor's size was also a point of contention for some customers.

I was looking for the Kinect to add to my xbox experience and looked at other stores both mortar and online. The best price for either was with Best Buy. I have enjoyed using the Kinect ever since.

I like this one better than the 360 kind. Love not having to tap in those long annoying codes anymore. Talking to it is pretty neat for lazy folks like myself. Little creepy that it's ALWAYS ON though.

Nice Accessory But Requires a $40 Adaptor

The good: It's a nice accessory for the XBox One. The bad: you have to have to spend another $40 to connect it. The should be bundled together with the adapter or provided free from Microsoft. Otherwise, it's nice to control many of the functions of the XBox with voice commands. We've purchased and played Dance Party 2017 with it and it's very accurate. The extra cost of the adapter is worth it but consumers need to be aware you're looking to spend $150+ for it.

The Kinect itself works really well. The major problem with the product is the lack of a uniquely demonstrable experience the user can have with it through a game, besides something like dance spotlight...

The kinect works great and the kid loves to play dance dance 2016. This version of the kinect works FAR better than the Xbox 360 version which we ended up never using because it was more hassle than worth.

Smooth operator! I game in a large room and the Kinect just makes it easier to operate my Xbox one. Even in a large room it easily heard commands and performs the correct function. Very pleased.

Good add on and way better then the prior version. I do not use the motion as much, but the voice commands become second nature when controlling volume, TV, or the interface. A new level of lazy and I love it.

So easy to set up my 9 yr old did it himself. The new technology is wonderful. Quality of service and price at Best Buy is great. I always end up at Best Buy because of the customer service and prices.

I primarily purchased the Kinect to be able to use my Xbox to turn on and off my tv and home theater receiver simultaneously with my Xbox one and am amazed at how fluidly this technology works.

The kinect has become my lazy mans remote control. I have my cable box wired through it and it turns everything on and off with the sound of my voice commands. I would recommend this product.

Well haven't had much time with it yet. But I like the voice prompts. I have it connected to my Xbox one and my u verse wireless box. So far so good. Came with a free game. So can't complain

My little girl loves to play the kinect games. With the 360 it had a hard time seeing her. The new version for the X1 is spot on. I think its more fun to watch her play than playing games myself.

Like the voice commands a lot. Very accurate camera. It comes with a good game. If you own DC3 you can download for free the songs you bought. DC spotlight is not bad. Limited kinect library.

The Windows 10 update to the Xbox killed a lot of the functionality as far as basic system navigation that the Kinect had. Works well as IR sender for the connected cable box, and as a Skype camera.

I really like the quality of the camera and some of the integrated functions on the Xbox but there really aren't many games that use the Kinect so it may not be worth the purchase for most people.

Navigating through menus is a breeze, and nothing is more satisfying then telling your xbox to turn on and then watch your cable box, television, and sound bar all come to life with it.
