      Hi there,

Thank you for your feedback on Xbox One S All-Digital Edition. In addition to the pro you mention, we would also add that Xbox One S All-Digital Edition is offered at a suggested retail price that's $50 less than a standard Xbox One S and comes with three popular Xbox One games, Minecraft, Forza Horizon 3, and Sea of Thieves.

Xbox One S All-Digital Edition is offered as an alternative for those gamers who want more value and choice and don't want to use physical media. It co-exists alongside Xbox One S and Xbox One X so customers have even more options to choose from.

      Hope that helps,

Great idea love the all digital concept but the price is not worth it, really would have been nice if Microsoft licensed to there fans. I will wait to see if price drops.

If you find this cheaper than the Xbox One S and don't need the ultra hd blu-ray drive/disc games then buy it. You can purchase all the games digitally like you do on a smart phone or sign up for Gamepass which gives you over 100 games. Most other reviews here are just giving this a low mark because they don't like the idea of a digital only system but they aren't reviewing the console itself.

I tried writing a thorough comparison review, but BestBuy kept saying my benign, constructive, yet negative review contained inappropriate language but would not tell me what it was. In short, spend your money on the One-S or X and retain the capabilities 98% of console gamers want/need. The only way this console makes sense or is attractive to gamers is with a larger, solid state drive.

My first thought on this is I am going to be paying more for less features. Great concept but don't price it above the same console with more features. Overall poorly thought of the way Microsoft went about this.

      Hey there,

Thank you for sharing your thoughts on Xbox One S All-Digital Edition. Just to clear up any confusion, the standard Xbox One S estimated retail price is $299.99 USD whereas the retail price for the Xbox One S All-Digital Edition is $249.99 USD.

The Xbox One S All-Digital Edition is the newest member of the Xbox One family of devices and provides the best value to gamers who prefer digital experiences by packing in three games from some of the most popular franchises – Minecraft, Sea of Thieves, and Forza Horizon 3 – so you can start gaming right out of the box. Microsoft sets an estimated retail price, but specific pricing and offers vary by retailer.

      Hope that helps,

I was very hesitant at first to purchase this all digital system. I've had my Xbox 360 for years and finally wore it out. As a older gamer, I wasn't sure of purchasing this over PS4 or the Switch. Also, I didn't want to drop $1k upon a gaming PC. Upon research on this Xbox One S All Digital system, you can transfer purchased xbox360 digital games via personal account. The majority of all my xbox 360 games were digital downloads. This was the winning point for me along with the reduced price at $249.99 when compared to the current generation of other gaming consoles. In the box: You get 1TB Xbox One S All Digital system, 1 controller, 1 month free of GOLD subscription, and codes for 3 digital Xbox One games - Forza 3, Sea Of Thieves, & Minecraft. This is well worth the price tag in my opinion. Out of all my digital Xbox 360 games, I was able to download 15 out 20 games to my new Xbox One S All Digital. It may have to do with licensing on certain titles. Not bad in my opinion. I still have plenty of room left on the 1TB HDD after downloading 20 Xbox 360 games & the 3 included games that came bundled with the system. Overall I don't understand what the fuss is about not having a disc drive. It has been years since I've bought a physical copy of a game. I guarantee that the next generation of systems will have NO disc drive. If you're trying to save some cash and want a NEW current generation game console for under $300. , the Xbox One S All Digital is the way to go. I'm happy with my purchase and I recommend the Xbox One S All Digital to anyone. Change is good! Pros: Lowest in price/cost when compared to other current generation console systems. Backwards compatible: Transfer digital Xbox 360 games. New concept: All Digital game console from one of the best gaming companies to date. 3 games & 1 month free Gold subscription included in price. Cons: Need a high speed ISP. Downloads take a considerable amount of time. Patience is needed during long downloads. A 2nd controller should of been provided A budget headset should of been provided.

I don't understand how this console gives user the "convenience" or choice for their game console. If anything, this console gives you less options. This is an Xbox that has one less option -- no discs can be used. The original Xbox One S can already do everything this console can do. It can play all the digital games, and it can play any game that you have on disc. Also, the Xbox One S is offered at a lower price usually than the digital Xbox. Say someone brings a game over... "Oh sorry, we can't play that game because I don't have the Xbox with a disc drive." Talk about convienience...

Great console for digital in mind gamers and kids

Dispite the reviews and negativity, Microsoft has seen a large up-tick in digital only gamers, Their XBOX Live Gold games each month and Game Pass keeps alot of us entertained for hours. Now yes, the loss of a phyiscal disc drive or blue-ray drive for alot is a bummer. Could they of boosted the HDD space, add a second HDD where the physical drive was? Sure, but that might be an option down the road. I see this as a secondary system for the Xbox Gamer who already has the console w/ a drive and has been leaning more digital, maybe the "physical drive" xbox is on a TV for the "entertainment" console, and this one is in a bedroom or somewhere else for gaming. ie, keep in mind this is the gamer who is leaning more towards all digital but still keeps a console with a drive as he/she still has physical media. OR this is the perfect thing for Kids!! Getting away from kids touching the physical discs is a godsend for most families and gamers like myself. I cant stand the kids touching my discs. This would force me to go all digital, pay a little higher for faster internet and just download the games we constantly play on the HDD, keep the rest readily available to download. Ive seen reviews how this also appeals to the OCD or folks who are limited on space and cant hold all the games, boxes, etc with physical media. Long story short, no matter how you game, you can easily justify this. 3 Games (also included in GamePass) make up for the difference in cost. I can see this as a $150 Black Friday deal!
