If you're reading this then you're most likely looking for a reason to not spend the extra couple hundred dollars on purchasing the Xbox One X. If you're like me and just play games casually with friends when you have time, then the "S" is definitely the way to go. Top notch graphics have never been a deal breaker for me, and I don't game enough to need all the bells and whistles that the "X" offers. I also don't have a 4k TV, which it's my understanding that you won't be able to get the best graphics from the "X" unless you also have a 4K TV to play on. That means that you'd be spending the 300-400 dollars on the "X" as well as a few hundred more on getting a 4K TV...if money isn't an issue then go for it. I play probably 5-8 hours a week with friends and the "S" is perfect for that experience. My wife and I will use it to watch Netflix as well so now we can keep our Apple TV in the bedroom. When I'm playing on the "S" I've never had that feeling of "wow these graphics really aren't that great". I don't have any buyer's remorse for the decision I made to go with the less powerful machine.

Fortnite bundle was a plus. Bought this as a second console so two of us in the house could play nonsplit-screen multiplayer games together. I like that it takes up less real estate and has 1TB of storage. This one loads faster than my Xbox one. I would’ve given 5 stars for this purchase for meeting all expectations and putting smiles on my family’s face but there was one problem right out of the box. The HDMI cable supplied by manufacturer was faulty. I quickly figured out the problem while troubleshooting because I had a few spare HDMI cables lying around. If I didn’t have an extra HDMI cable, and I was new to Xbox or gaming consoles, I would’ve been very disappointed. Cables are mass produced and once in a while a brand new one will be garbage. I got the bad one. But the Xbox is perfect.

I ordered the XBox One S Fortnite Bundle in-line, and within 3 days it had shipped, and within 6 days from ordering, it arrived perfectly packaged with no indication of contents. This was a gift for my son, age 11, and he has enjoyed every moment exploring the contents and abilities for this gaming system. Set up was incredibly easy. I am thankful for the Microsoft Parent/Child account and monitoring that it allows (we also use this for all child PCs in the home). My child appreciated the bundle perks, such as v-bucks and particular skins and downloads that were exclusively offered for this bundle.

SO DISAPPOINTED WASTE OF MONEY!!!!! My youngest Child wanted to upgrade from an XBOX 360 to XBOX One for a few years now, we finally got one for our child and it will not even stay connected to WIFI, it keeps cutting out during online games. Best Buy sent us a replacement one and the replacement one is doing the same thing. I have read online that this is a common problem with XBOX One's. And no it is NOT our internet because our teenager got an XBOX One last year and that one has no problems. Not sure what the change is that makes it cut off. And now we are stuck with an XBOX that doesn't work correctly , since the game that came with the original one has been opened you can NOT return it. really a rip off. My Child got a Switch last Christmas so that's what she has to play on if she wants to play Fortnite or any other game online. I tried to get in touch with XBOX customer service, and couldn't. Really Want my money back!!!!

      Hey there,

We're sorry to hear that your family is running into WiFi connection issues with your new Xbox One S. If possible, we recommend trying a wired connection to your modem/router for the best possible experience. Otherwise, Xbox Support's online troubleshooting tool may be able to help resolve the issue here: https://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-one/networking/connection-solution

We got a great deal on the Xbox one bundle. Included two games and two remotes and we couldn’t pass it up. My 7 year old is enjoying it, however internet isn’t the best where we live, so he can’t play Fortnite, which is what ultimately convinced us to getting the system. We’ve been hearing about Fortnite nonstop for awhile now! So the fact that he can’t play it now, was a little disappointing to find out, but no fault of the system itself. The only thing so far that we don’t like is that we have to download each game in order to play it first and again, with our slow internet, that poses a bit of problem and takes awhile to complete.

Well bought the xbox one fortnite bundle console on sale with a free remote online and picked up at store. Everything went fine at store pick up got it home unboxed the xbox got it hooked up went to power it on by remote nothing checked all the hooks tried it again nothing so I changed the batteries in the remote nothing.. Was a little upset I bought a xbox brand new and the remote not work, the xbox powered on when I turned it on by the xbox not the remote.. Unfortunately I sent the remote back for a replacement not bestbuy fault kinda got me thinking though maybe that's why it came with a extra remote.. overall a good starter xbox for some with a few hiccups has alot of updates, if you got disc games you gotta download them first to the xbox before playing, xbox still gets hot. Really didn't care for fornite so can not say much about it..

First, Fortnite is a free game. You are paying for Vbucks with this bundle (in game money). Second, loading the game was a nightmare. You have to use the Xbox controller to navigate an alphanumeric keypad to enter in a 25 digit code, and we kept getting an error saying "this game is too mature for you. Pick another game" and exiting. We entered the code five times before we realized that the console came default with parental settings of 10 and up. Third, the menu system of the console is terrible -- so many nested layers. It's very hard to find what you're looking for and very cumbersome. I don't know if the other consoles are better, but someone should redesign this thing to have a bunch of icons on a single page. I wish Steve Jobs had made a video game console.

      Hey there,

We're sorry that your Xbox One S bundle hasn't quite lived up to expectations. If entering codes with the controller is cumbersome, you can also log into Xbox Live on a browser and enter the code with a keyboard. When you log back into your Xbox One, the game will automatically download and install. So, got this for our girl for her birthday...and *all* of us are using it! She plays her games (which look amazing!) watches Hulu and Netflix...Hubs plays his games and I love to watch them play and use it for Hulu and Netflix...Still feel I haven’t seen everything it can do though! Grab a few headsets and extra controllers while you’re at it, you’ll need it. Heck, you will want it! AND grab your Xbox gold pass. Lots of investment, for sure, but it will end up being great for everyone in your fam! (And your kids friends and their BF/GF’s too, lol!)

I bought this especially as it has the capability to play blu ray movies with Dolby Atmos and it does the job pretty well. You will need to change the settings to be able to play Atmos content. Lot of apps and games in the store. Only one downside i've noticed is that when we connect the controller to a headset there is sometimes break in audio which is kind of irritating. Also you will need to go to settings every time when you want to switch off the system. Apart from these its pretty much a good one to own especially for Game lovers and for those who watch movies.

I purchased the Xbox 1 S and I'm very happy with the buy. It has excellent load time on games and when connected to a high definition TV (1080p or better) you can really see the power of the system to display amazing graphics. In addition, it's a great 4K bluray player. The one drawback is that you have to download the app for the bluray player which I think should come preloaded. Overall it's a very good system for any game. Games will eat a lot of the 1TB space but that is the nature of all new gen systems. Better graphics and deeper developed games require more space and processing power. Just keep that in mind. Definitely reccomend it for any level of gamer.

Updating and installing the game it came with was stressful and frustrating. I followed every direction and when it came to installing the game, it loaded and froze. It would not continue installing it would stop in a few seconds every time I resumed the installation. I tried this a second time and definitely wasted a lot of my time. My son didn’t get to play his birthday present so I returned and rethinking of something better to get him. It would have been much better to have the actual game in the box. As far I am concern, not user friendly at all. Such a frustrating console

I purchased the Xbox One S 1TB with 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray to use with my Samsung - 82" Class - LED - NU8000 Series - 2160p - Smart - 4K UHD TV with HDR. I decided to get the Xbox One over the basic 4K Blu-ray player, because you pretty much get the same 4K experience and can do more with the Xbox for approximately the same price. As of now, I love the overall set up and picture quality. I can play games if I choose and not limited to just watching DVD's.

      Hey there,

Thank you for weighing in on your new Xbox One S! Using Xbox One S as a 4K ULtra HD Blu-ray player instead of a dedicated Blu-ray player is a great idea, because in addition to the Blu-ray player functionality, you also get a great game and overall entertainment system. We hope you continue to love your purchase.

Very disappointed mom. Brought this console for my son's birthday. Got everything hooked up and updates downloaded, Fortnite downloaded he played for a couple of hours shut the console down to eat dinner and now we can't get it to boot back up. Have hooked to different TV's, tried multiple HDMI cables and even tried a different power cord from my other son's xbox one S (same power cord) NOTHING nada.... Light comes on but system never boots. Tried to hold power button for 10 seconds to reboot. Unplugged, re-plugged, still nothing, showing no signal on multiple tv's. Guess my only choice now is to pack it back up and return it to Best Buy.

Purchased for kid as my gaming days kinda ended with Galaga...well maybe a few after that. Overall the gaming experience seems crisper and cleaner than what I've seen on the Playstation. However, the download speed is as terrible as all the reviews. Do yourself a favor and google how the change the DNS server. We spend a pretty penny for a Spectrum download of 300 but on this machine we were in the 5 neighborhood. Changing the DNS to Google's universal DNS put the speed up in the 80s. So far that is the only real issue kiddo has had with the machine.

I purchased this bundle for my girlfriend’s Christmas gift, everything works out of the package, the issue I have is that the box came attached with a “promotional “ Xbox Live Gold card, I bought it thinking it came with it since all of the bundles I purchased in the past included everything attached to the box, upon calling customer service they told me I had to pay extra for it if I wanted it which is something I was never told at the store, this is my first real complaint with Best Buy in years of being a customer, it feels the packaging is deceiving to customers!

Coming from the original Xbox One, this is a nice upgrade. One thing that is espectially nice is the device control options. Previously, you needed a Kinect to control your TV and receiver. In the Xbox One S, all of this can be done out-of-the-box, without the need for a Kinect device. Another thing that is nice is the smaller form-factor. The Xbox One S has a nice small footprint that should fit any entertainment setup. I can't speak to it's 4K capabilities since my TV is not 4K, but I'm sure it performs well in this area as well.

      Hey Anthony,

We're glad that you're enjoying your upgrade to Xbox One S. Even though it's more compact and quieter, Xbox One S is even more powerful than the original Xbox One and supports 4K for video streaming and playing 4K UHD Blu-rays -- though you should still see an improvement in video quality even without a 4K TV. We hope you have a great time with your new system.

Purchased the Fortnite system as a Christmas present. Unfortunately within two months the controller mic function stopped working. I contacted Microsoft. Was told I'd receive an email regarding options to fix. That did not happen. Overall my son was extremely happy with the Xbox One system itself but very disappointed with the controller. This particular system remote seems not to have been made as well as previous controllers. Very disappointed. It was a waste of money. We are stuck with a broken remote.

I bought him this bundle and he has played in what little spare time he has without a single issue. The new unit is much smaller and does not run anywhere near as hot as the original console. We got this for our son and set it up as an under age player...huge mistake! What a pain in the butt! Passwords for him passwords for adults, passcodes, emails, etc. Then all the stuff that was promised to come with the bundle like the Fortnite skins and V bucks and the 100's of free pre-downloaded games are all yet to be found. There are a few free games and some previews but the rest are purchases. The whole thing was/is frustrating and super irritating.

Great upgrade for my son from his old 360. Setup was pretty in-depth and took a long time but once that was complete, everything runs smoothly. I don’t recommend getting the Fortnite edition. It was a surprise and disappointment that you have to pay a subscription for Xbox Gold to play on Xbox one even though it is free on other platforms. Since we paid more to purchase the Fortnite bundle, it would be nice if they made it a little more obvious that you were going to be asked to pay monthly to play a free game.
