had to get both.

Great replacement controller

I was not aware when I bought it that I could plug regular headphones into it and use them to hear whatever is on your xbox. Which works out late at night when I don't want to wake the wife or kids. However, Apple EarPods do NOT work as a potential microphone source for chat.

I now prefer to use this over the original one! Unlike the standard black controller that ships with the system, this one doesn't lose connection mid-game just because you bumped the back battery door. It looks sweet, and works awesome with my Turtle Beach headset.
