The standard Xbox controller does the job for the regular priced controllers. Nothing much to comment about on that part. It works, and its a total improvement over the Xbox 360 controller. However, if you have the extra few dollars, I would suggest getting one of the special edition controllers like the Lunar White or any of the COD/Forza 6/Halo and such since some of them have a grip on the back and are nicer looking for only a few more dollars. However, if you gotta go standard, you can't go wrong either. The black matches the console and it's a solid buy.

Standard wireless Xbox One controller. Really well built with a good quality to it. Eats batteries rather quick so id recommend a rechargeable kit.

Xbox one controllers seem to be coming out in all kinds of colors. Just get this base one. I got this on sale during black friday and cheap. Might as well get some rechargeable batteries. Downside is battery life is short if you game a lot. Otherwise a black controller is the best bet don't spend more $$ on needless color changes to the controller. Not worth it.

This controller is definitely one of the best things in the Xbox one. I has an excellent grip to it and very responsive when playing online. The triggers are firm enough that you feel the pull every time you accelerate in a racing game or shoot in a FPS game. The added headphone jack port only made this controller even more complete. Very happy with my purchase.

Bought it for the kids, they love the games and can watch blu ray. My son plays hockey and I can't get the guy to skate or pass or anything. We also have the Forza Driving game and all I could do is wreck the car. It would be great if they sold a (cheap) book for these games. Because it is intuitive and simple, I prefer the 2007 Wii we have. As far as the setup and everything, I am an Apple guy, so in my opinion it is like all other Microsoft devices and it's like the people that made it never had an opportunity to try it before it shipped.

This is just like the controller that comes with the Xbox One. I got this so my step-son and I could both play games together. Everything works great. The only drawback is, just like the controller that came with the console, they do not come with a rechargeable battery, so your options are to buy a separate rechargeable battery system, or use AA batteries.

The controller fits nicely in my hands but I wish it was a bit bigger. The batteries provided are very weak so expect to replace them shortly.

We picked up an xbox one for christmas, and this controller was free with the deal. So I have to say, no complaints. Consoles these days don't come with more than one controller. So an extra is a must. This is the same controller that comes with an xbox console. It runs on double A batteries. Works great and is easy to sync up with our console.

Great improvement over the 360. I wish it didn't use batteries, and that the battery pack came with it. Other than that, great controller.

I purchased an XBox One console for my grandson, and this wireless controller was included as a free gift. Excellent addition, as he is able to play with a friend on the same console. Our previous purchase of the XBox 360 had only one controller included, and it was not wireless. My grandson is extremely happy with having this extra controller!

The X1 controller is, without a doubt, a new standard in the xbox's line-up of controllers. I have bought this one from Best buy and it's in my home, ready to be played with the xbox one, so this review is a summary of using the controller from all of the events that I have attended (xbox one tours, microsoft store xbox one events, e3, gamescom, etc.) so I have had a fairly lengthy time using the controller. The ergonomics are simply brilliant as the controller fits snugly in your hand and it is a bit smaller and tighter so all the buttons are more easily reachable. One of the best things about the new controller is the impulse triggers feature. Oh, man. These things are just great. They said that they integrated a whole bunch of tiny rumble parts so that when you shoot a weapon, drive a car, run in a game, etc.- whatever you do in a game will match the action to the rumble feedback for more realism. I tried this out with forza and man, this is a world of difference. This feature alone would warrant this controller 5 stars, but the improved grip on the thumbsticks, the more fluid trigger-to-button layout, and the removal of the battery pack bulge on the back add even more value to this controller.

Great product. Works perfectly. Easy to hook up to Xbox One.
