I purchased this console for my 11yr. old son. I'm not much of a gamer, but he absolutely loves playing it. Setting the Xbox up was a breeze. The only thing that most people may not know is that you must purchase Xbox Live Gold in order to play online and interact with other players. Other than that Xbox one is a great console.

This Xbox is head and shoulders above previous versions. With built in bluray and access to various streaming services this is the ultimate entertainment device. The console is pretty much a windows computer so it's extremely flexible and fast. The most fun is telling the Xbox what to do and switch between apps and games.

This is a nice improvement over the Xbox 360. It starts up nice and fast, the graphics look very good, and it can use several cable TV apps to stream on demand. It does more than you would expect, and it does a fine job. The only issues I have experienced in a week of use is an occasional controller disconnect and it has froze up too. The Kinect is hit or miss. I have had friends tell me that it works flawlessly, but that is not my experience. If you have noisy kids or an open window in the room, voice commands will not be reliable. If you are alone in a quiet room, it works well enough. Overall I like it, and am glad to be able to play some of the prior and upcoming exclusives. You can't beat a free copy of a game you had already planned on buying.

We use our XBOX One all the time. The voice and motion control has got to be the coolest thing yet! If only we could an XBOX One on every television in our house, we have it synced with our DirecTV and can control it with our voices like a remote. Fantastic console, might buy another someday.

I finally broke down and got the boys this game player for Christmas and so far they love it. The graphics are every bit what they are pumped up to be and the games we have are fun. The only problem I have is the lack of titles for kids that are 8 to 10 years old. There are plenty of games if you want to kill people and act crazy but they are definitely not appropriate for kids.

We finally replaced our outdated wii for the xbox one. I was blown away at what all this game console will do. I didn't realize how much more this is than a game console. The whole family has enjoyed setting up our avatars. The voice control with kinect is awesome. We are loving it.

Gaming is an awesome experience. I liked it very much. BB always provides price match. So got a very good deal. 1 knock on Xbox would be it is missing a mirroring application as Apple TV does. If a 99$ product can provide a mirroring of your mobile display, why not a 499$ console?

I buckled down and payed a little extra for the kinect bundle, and the extra features were definitely worth the $29 (I got it on black friday for $429 vs w/o kinect regular price of $399). The kinect adds so many extra feature to the entertainment system, such as voice control, ir remote control, and skyping with the camera. It also logs into your xbox live profile when it sees you. My whole family, including my parents, are using it to control the cable box and watch t.v. without touching a single remote. There are a few problems with the slow game installation, but it doesn't really affect you after the installation is complete.

Background/reason for buying: When I saw that I could trade in my 250GB Xbox 360 Slim for $100 and $50 toward an Xbox One, I just had to do it. Friends were upgrading (usually buying outright, hanging onto their older 360s, or just hanging onto their 360s because there were a couple of games that they wanted to keep playing and didn't think that whatever was offered to them for a trade-in value wasn't worth it) and I figured it was time to upgrade mine as well. I usually only play a couple of games - NHL from EA and Call of Duty - but since I had grown tired of CoD and EA decided to exclude EASHL (online multiplayer) from the Xbox One version of the game, I had to pick up something else. I had friends that bought Assassin's Creed, so I picked up this bundle, as it seemed like the best deal. I also heard great things about the Kinect sensor and wanted to check it out. Review of console: Graphics are great. Period. I like being able to run my satellite TV box through my Xbox, and I set it up to automatically turn on my TV and satellite set top box, and change to TV mode when I turn my Xbox on. My gf didn't particularly care for needing to turn the Xbox on to watch TV until I got those settings figured out. I think she still thinks it's a little silly to have to say "Xbox on" to get it all to fire up, but that's easier than turning the TV/satellite box on with one remote and turning the Xbox on with a controller. She's not a gamer, but she's slowly learning the new interface... speaking of which... The interface: It's an Xbox/Windows 8 combination of live tiles and sorted sections of tiles. Very similar to the menus from the Xbox 360, with a little bit of styling and the "pinning" that you might be familiar with from Windows. Fairly simple to work and figure out, but it helps a lot to know the system beforehand. I've noticed a little bit of lag here and there, but nothing debilitating, just a couple of small things. Xbox Live: I've had quite a few problems recently with logging on and getting some games to work properly. I know that some of the recent problems are due to DDoS attacks on the Xbox Live servers, so I'm trying not to take that into account. One of my biggest issues has been Online Mode on Grand Theft Auto V - I've been booted a few times and I've noticed that there's no true "exit" from the game, as it tries to keep you right where you are, so that when you come back it doesn't make you load everything all over again. I've done the "Leave Online GTA", which stops me from getting kicked for inactivity, but that kicks me back to the single player storyline, which I have to pause, and then go back to the dashboard. If I don't change games or open an app, and just switch back to watching TV, when I do go back to playing GTA, it often gives me a hard time when I try to go back to Online GTA, and start parties with my friends, etc. Like I said, there are still a few bugs that need to be worked out. Assassin's Creed seems to work very well for me, though, both online and single player, with a couple of small party/join/graphics glitches during transitions, etc. Recording game clips is a great feature on the Xbox One. You can double-tap the Xbox button on a controller and then hit X to record the last 30 seconds of play, or just say "Xbox Record That" if you have a Kinect, and it will record. I haven't played around with it too much, but it is fun to be able to record previous events with such ease. You can also, I believe, start and end the recording whenever you want, if you know you want to record something that you're about to do. Kinect sensor: Kinect is probably not something that everyone will need, but it has been a very neat feature. I was suckered into buying a Kinect for my 360, which I can't even trade in right now because no one wants it. That won't be the case for the new Kinect. This version is very responsive, very accurate, works fine in a smaller space, and it is responsive to voice commands and gestures. I haven't used it for Skype or anything yet, but as far as navigating with gestures, turning the Xbox on and off, and recording game clips, it has worked great so far. For the extra $100, I'm glad that I got it. Assassin's Creed - I played the single player of Black Flag for a while and sort of enjoyed it. Then I realized that my friends were playing Unity, so I switched to that and played that both in single player and online. Other than some of the glitching and all of the controls being new to me, it has been a positive experience so far. Both games have outstanding graphics, and they're fun to play. Seems like you could get dragged into them for long periods of time very easily... Controller: I thought that this would be a huge step up from the 360, but it's been pretty lackluster. Some small ergonomic changes, but nothing too impressive. You can get wireless, powered headsets now (I got a Turtle Beach XO ONE headset that I'll do a review on later) that plug directly into the controller with what appears to be a proprietary connector, instead of the previous stereo connection that required separate USB connection (Turtle Beach X12) for power and composite cable for better sound. This means that if you have an old headset, you'll either need the stereo adapter (Microsoft makes one) to use your old headset, or you'll need to buy a new headset that is compatible with the Xbox One. From my experience, it looks like the new Turtle Beach headsets just come with the stereo adapter. It's a little bulky, but it does work. Hopefully that's a thorough, but not too crazy, review of this entire setup. I'm a little disappointed with game selection (really wish EA had made EASHL work for Xbox One), but everything else seems to work alright. If the glitches get worked out of GTA, I'll be thrilled. The quality of the console itself is great, the aesthetics are nice, and the Kinect sensor works as advertised. I did have a small quality issue with the power brick.... when I peeled the protective coating off, it left a splotchy pattern on that gloss plastic. Not a big deal, I guess, as it's always hidden behind the TV, but it just bothered me that they did so many things right, and then something stupid like that happens as you're setting up the console for the first time. Anyway, can't wait for more games to come out for this. Definitely time for me to get a 2-year Gamers Club Unlocked subscription at the current $30 price. I'll make that back by buying 3 games in the next 2 years, then get ahead with that and redeeming points for gift certificates.

The Xbox one assassin's creed bundle is phenomenal on every level. It is a premier system with an excellent game included. However, the kinect is what sends it over the edge. Voice commands and gestures take the one to the next level and make it like nothing we have used before

This was one of the best purchase i had ever made in a Game system in a very long time, the graphics are really great, enough cpu power for all the demanding games that needs it, No restrictions on DVD BR Player like ps4, i love the connect, it's just great for entertainment.

I purchased this bundle on Black Friday 2014 with a bonus controller for $429.99! Unbeatable value for what all it came with at that price point. I used to consider myself a serious Playstation fan & most of the people that I knew at the time owned the PS4, but that didn't stop me from giving the Xbox One a chance with its "all in one entertainment package" approach. I couldn't resist all of the cool features that the Xbox One & Kinect had to offer, thus making it a lot more appealing in my eyes than the PS4 was. I knew that by purchasing this console, my entire family would be able to enjoy at least one of the many neat features that it offers & possibly appreciate it in a few more ways than you would a "traditional" gaming console. This is by far the best next gen console I've played & for the price that I paid, I wouldn't change a thing. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a great all around entertainment experience!

I was under the impression because of bad information given by a best buy worker that I only need the Internet if I wanted to play against others live. Come to find out you can't even start up the system with out the Internet. Because the games require information from online as it installs. Last time I ask that individual for information on anything.

Kids were thrilled with this Christmas gift! My 12 year old set it up himself as he's better at that than us. We had heard a nightmare story about our friend taking hours to set it up for his son who was younger. May want to consider who will be setting it up.

Bought this after Christmas, great console with the next gen gameplay graphics. My last console was the Wii so the Kinect definitely surpass the motion technology. I'm addicted to Assassin Creed and have been arduously playing that since purchased.
