As soon as I got into a party with my friends they laughed that I had spent 100 dollars on a headset with a mic this bad, so much so that they wanted me to put on my old headset. All Microsoft had to do was put on a removable boom mic and this would have been fine, however they tried to do something different and the mic quality suffered as a result. Note: the larger your head the worse this will be as the mic sits literally behind your mouth and to the side. I would have loved to keep these but I will be returning and buying a much more expensive headset to get the same features with much better mic quality.

Even at the highest setting the mic monitoring/sidetone doesn’t work properly. If I can’t hear myself speaking when chatting with friends in game then it’s a no-go for me.

It’s okay at best

Quality is okay. The game volume vs chat volume can be troublesome. Mute button is awkwardly placed. I feel it’s a bit over priced- but that’s just my opinion.
