The mic is the only problem

Cheap quality with a steep price tag

I’ve had mine for 6 months now and they’re terrible. The audio constantly cuts in and out. You are constantly plagued with loud annoying digital audio artifacts. I cannot get a good clean audio experience unless they are plugged directly into my series x.

Mic picks up controller sounds more than voice

Played a few games of Apex and saw that the mic would pic up the sound of my controller easier than it would my voice. This means that the software and microphone are not optimized to detect audio frequencies that are close to the voice, rather they pick up these sudden clicking sounds made by my controller. This is not a hardware issue but rather incompetence by MS to actually design a decent audio software in the headset before mass marketing them. This is unacceptable and I even reduced the mic input through windows setting. This reduced voice input but somehow moving the joystick or clicking the controller always elicited full mic input. The audio engineer in charge of the mic needs to be fired for such gross negligence.

The reviews were all amazing but I hate this headset. This headset is constantly cutting out when I'm in parties and every 15 minutes, I will hear static so that when I try to talk, it sounds robotic and absolutely awful. I either have to wait five minutes for it to sort itself out, or I have to turn the headset off, turn it back on, and wait for it to connect. It also just completely disconnects to the xbox randomly and then reconnects a few minutes later. I was using the Turtle Beach Stealth 600's for three years before I got these, and my friends said that the mic quality is much worse with this headset. I also am experiencing this weird thing where the headset feels like it's burning the top of my head when I wear them for more then 20 minutes. Not like a pressure thing, but like a chemical burning which I have never experienced before. I thought that maybe it was just me, but I have had other people use my headset and they experienced the exact same thing. Overall, not great, especially for $100.

Sound quality with this headset is mediocre at best and leaves a lot to be desired. I haven't tested the mic much, but the little I did use it it seems to work as expected, but again sound quality with this headset leaves much to be desired. I would have rather paid a bit more to get better sound quality that what I got with this package.
