I really enjoyed this game. It was a fun button masher with not much strategy needed. I really liked how the enemy uruks gain rank when they kill you and they become harder to kill the next time you fight them. Whenever you find a captain or warchief they always have some comment to make about the last time you fought them. I enjoyed the way the game is set up, you can go do story missions, or side missions whenever you want. they have all of the items labeled on the map. You just mark the quest you want to do and it'll show up in the world view and show you how far you are from the start point of that quest. You just go there and start the quest, if you didn't play the game for a month, you could pick it up and continue without having to remember where you needed to go or what you need to do. If you like a god of war style button masher, then you'll probably enjoy this game.

I played this PS4 game and did not enjoy any of it.

This was the first game I played on my PS4 . I had bought 3 others at the same time, but I got so engrossed in this one that I didn't even load the others for several weeks. The grapics are great and the story line is awesome. Multiple refernces to the books are included (some more obsucre than others). the combat system is easy to learn and play. I read that there is goind to be another Middle Earth game out soon, and I can't wait. There is some kind of graphic violence, so not suitable for the younger crowd.

This is one of the best games out there for a current gen console. The nemesis system in the game is revolutionary and makes the game so interesting and addictive. This game definitely deserved a Game Of The Year edition.

Definitely worth it now that the price is coming down.

Fun story if you are into the LOTR series and the Nemesis feature they created for the game makes it feel more personal. Overall a great game.

The nemesis system is surprisingly satisfying since I had some Orcs that killed me repeatedly and saw them rise up the ranks. When I finally did bring them down it was much more gratifying than killing your average leader. Combat will probably feel familiar if you've played any of the Batman Arkham games which I like. Upgrades make changing your play style lots of fun as you can either go in shooting up the place with arrows or stealth your way though enemy encampments. It's also updated for the PS4 Pro as an added bonus.

I expected this title to be mediocre but after playing through it I was left very surprised. The game is pretty much an Assassin Creeds game with a LOTR skin but one thing that makes it different is the setting and the excellent rivalry system. Overall, I enjoyed the experience and would recommend to anyone

My son was so excited to get this game. He had the original game but wanted the Game of the Year edition in order to do more maps, more adventures. Best Buy had the best price and we could not help but purchase this.

Awesome game with excellent combat and story. Comes with all of the DLC too!

Well let me start of by saying this game first starts off a little hard but then gets way better once your attributes get higher. from one gamer to another this game is sick and a must own.

Middle Earth Shadow of Mordor Game of the Year edition is a nonstop action packed game in the Lord of the Rings universe!

Excellent, excellent game. It was named GOTY by many online sites and with good reason. Only knock is that it's short, but otherwise outstanding.

What can I say about this title. I got the original on PS4, and I enjoyed it thoroughly. Take the fighting style found in the Batman Arkham series with a story set within the LOTR universe just prior to the trilogy with surprises along the way. This game has not only the original title, but also all of the DLC. The only way it could have been better is if your old save file would get converted over. However, if you take on every quest and side-quest, you are looking at easily a 60+ hour game. Easily worth the price of admission!

The NEMESIS system adds a complexity to the gameplay that I love. You killed me? Okay, I'm going to destroy everything that you love.

Get this most have title with dlc included. Dive into this deep story enhanced by the beautiful graphics and smooth gameplay.
