Love the Graphics and Game play!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's a really fun game, and similar to the Batman: Arkham series game play wise. The controls are easy to learn, and the game doesn't do too much hand holding in the brief tutorial at the beginning. The games carves out its own niche in the LotR universe quite nicely. There are familiar characters from the books and films, but Shadow of Mordor definitely sets out to make a name for itself, and introduce new characters. If you're looking for a nice change of pace from the typical FPS onslaught that happens around the holidays every year, this one fits the bill.

One of the best games of the year!!!!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am in love with this game! It's Assassins Creed meets Lord of the rings! The combat is immersive, the stealth takedowns are brutal and amazing, and the storyline is very well written! Plus the graphics are simply stunning. Highly recommended!

Great Fun with a slight new type of game
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This game is a mix between Batman Arkham Asylum and an RPG. It has a ton of places to explore and the story lines are as close to the epic lines one would expect from the Middle Earth sagas. This is definitely the best Middle Earth themed game!

Great game, questionable Tolkien connection
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Shadow of Mordor takes place immediately after the events of The Hobbit, which is a great place for non-canon storytelling to happen. How the story gets connected, though, is a big concern. There are definitely some leaps and liberties taken by the creative team behind Shadow of Mordor, and while I can't find any direct contradictions to established canon, I also can't find much of any support for what they tried to do. The game itself is wonderful, and if you set aside the one foundational story element that allows the plot to exist, the story is great.

Sleeper of a good game
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The nemesis system greatly improves the AI and replay value. The game stands on its own for non lord of the rings fans and brings a new story line for those who are. This is a good game that happens to have LOTR elements. In todays time you need to have some online gameplay that is what stops it from getting 5 stars,

This is a great game for any young adult
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great game for beginners. I didn't have much experience with an Xbox before I purchased my own, but this game is set up so well that even I could pick up most of the complex moves in just a few days. Would highly recommend.

Assassins Creed in Mordor
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Shadow of Mordor is basically Assassin's Creed w/Batman combat in the Middle-Earth setting. The Nemesis system is interesting at first however it gets old after awhile. I cannot wait to see what they do to expand the Nemesis system in future games.

Blown Away
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This game has it all the graphics as it has Warner Bros name all over the game play the sounds whats not to like about this game. At first was on the fence about buying this game but for 19.99 glad i took the risk.

Fulfills Expectations
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great departure from the usual games that strictly mimic the movie they are named after. You get to explore stories, areas and history not directly found in the movies ( at least not in this fashion or order). I hope they come out with more spin off type games in this cannon.

A sleeper hit
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When this was announced, nobody thought it was going to be anything spectacular. However, it took the best parts of the Arkham games along with Assassin's Creed and made one of the best games of the year.

Great Action!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not your typical Lord of the Rings fare. Don't get me wrong, I love the movies and novels, but this is a different set of characters and a very good story. The stealth is bearable and the action is great!

Took me some time to get used to it but a fine gam
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Nice graphics. Interesting world with cool npc's. It took a while before I understood what I was supposed to do and some of the character updates are a bit overwhelming. I am maybe a quarter through the game and the game is growing on me more and more. It is similar mechanically to Batman or Assassins Creed. The innovative part of the game is that the Orks you kill decides who becomes stronger and therefore everyone will play through slightly differently. Overall I'd say it's a top game if you aren't going to be playing COD, AC or GTA constantly over the next 2 months. Otherwise you may not have the time to get into it.

Middle Earth
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The setting is amazing, the art style is fantastic, the combat is a mix between Arkham City and Assassins Creed, only a lot more violent. It looks great, feels great and plays great. For a Tolkien fan getting this game is a no-brainer, and it should be the same for anyone who enjoys a good story, crips controls and great fights. It also gets a big plus for originality in my book; orc civil wars in Mordor are tons of fun. You are really missing out if you're skipping this one

Great game for Lord of the Ring fans.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Gameplay is very solid and I love exploring Mordor. The story wasn't all that great, but the free roam and solid combat made up for it. I highly recommend it to anyone who is a fan of Lord of the Rings.

Can't wait to play!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Don't take my review for whether or not you should buy it, because I have yet to fully get into it. I did play on PS4 for a good bit and I really liked it. Got it for Xbox One and can't wait to start!

Great game for fans and non-fans of the series
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Shadow of Mordor is a great game. It plays a lot like an Assassin's Creed game so if you are a fan of those types of games you will enjoy this one.
