This is an exciting LOTR game that changes some of the lore to expand on the LOTR universe. If you are not a fan of LOTR or new to the franchise, this game is a great foundation to understanding the war between man and orc. Once you play some of the story missions you will be on your way to dominating orcs and recruiting to your army and then sieging enemy bases! I highly recommend this title and if you are a Gamer Unlocked member its 20% off!

The game is pretty much like the previous game so its like an Assassins Creed in the Lord of the Rings Universe. There has been a lot of controversy with the decision to have loot boxes in a single player game and those items you receive arent permanent. You dont need to open a single loot box to beat the game 100% but the fact that they are there will make people give in. If you are able to ignore the micro transactions this game is solid

    Repetitive, But Fun

Loved this game the first ten hours, sadly it does get repetitive like the first game despite having much more diverse environments and an enhanced nemesis system...but the latter two points, combined with excellent combat, will keep you invested. And thankfully, I didn't feel like I needed to bother with microtransactions to progress. While it didn't stand out like Shadow of Mordor did, still worth playing if you enjoyed the first.

I loved the original game game. The sequel is good but not quite as good as the original. I would still recommend it to those who enjoyed the first, but if you’ve never played these games I would suggest starting with the first one to see if you like it. For die hard LOTR fans the story and characters are pretty cool, but this game is definetly hurt by the first one being so good. The sequel just isn’t quite as fun.

I was so excited for this game based on previous reviews, but it quickly proved disappointing. The combat is lazy, the storyline and writing are terrible, and the gameplay is completely repetitive. I spent about 8 hours on this game and wish I hadn't purchased it at all. It will occupy your time and keep you busy, but you won't look forward to playing again.

There are two problems about it First thing that I saw in the gameplay trailer with the guy and the cursed arm was very different from my experience with the game, Also why do we need a market. It is way better to find uruks yourself. I think that if the game is gonna have a market It should help you level up the uruks that you have, not buy new ones. Overall great game and I hope that more updates come to make It better.

If you liked the first game, you will like this one. They've definitely added more scenarios to the repertoire to keep things interesting. However, if you got bored of doing the same tasks over and over again, you may want to stay clear. Although they added more variety, it still suffers from similar pains as the first, in my opinion. Still better and more well polished than many other games on the market.

If you played the first one, then you know what your in for. If you like anything that has to do with Tolkien, then you have to play this series. Even if you don't care about the whole lord of rings world but you like actionRPGS in an open world environment where you can recruit enemies to work for you and take down armies of evil fiends. Middle Earth has never been this alive. You must play this game.

Shadow of War plays like a somewhat improved version of Shadow of Mordor. It seems like the developers finally had the time and money to implement things that they wanted in the first game and the base gameplay is still fun but the narrative is rather thin like the first game. Most of your enjoyment will come from the story you invent for yourself as you dominate uruks and create rivalries with others.

I really enjoyed Shadow of Mordor and was one of my favorite games in 2014. I was really looking forward to the sequel. I have a few gripes with the character design choices and the story, it leaves a lot to be desired if you are a big LOTR fan, but the game play and world building is great. I hear near the end the game becomes a huge grind and the loot boxes become a pain. I have not hit that point yet.

This game is a fun game that can get a little repetitive. Great graphics and smooth battle. I like the orc grudges, that is an interesting new touch. I am not a fan of the non-linear story. I don't really love open world games in general I enjoy a clear narrative. I like the lead characters. Overall fun game but I don't see myself playing every detail of this game as far as side missions go.

This game has a lot more abilities than the original. The map is probably twice as large as the first. The nemesis system is deeper. In other words, they took the first game and just made it bigger. If you enjoyed the first game I think you will enjoy this one. I would recommend that you try the first game before buying this one. The first one has been on sale for $10 or less many times.

This is a really entertaining video game, but with a very weak story considering it is set in the Lord of The Rings world. Great gameplay in terms of fighting although a little repetitive on the tasks. Probably the worse part is the money grabbing of the expansions/micro transactions. It is going to change in July but it is sad they released the game not completed.

If you're a fan of Shadow of Mordor then you'll definitely enjoy Shadow of War. This sequel improves on the original in almost every single way. More locations, expanded Nemesis system, and multiple ways to customize your play style, with skill alterations, new equipment system, and gem slots. My only real criticisms are that the story is kinda generic and there isn't enough enemy variety.

If you loved Shadows of Mordor, and just wanted more- this game delivers. Gameplay is basically the same as it’s predicessor. The world is much larger and there are more creatures, etc. I do wish there was more to do online. I only have about 36 hours into it, but it is as fun as the first with the potential to get even better as my character gets more abilities and commands armies, etc.

I'm only about 20% through this game, and I'm having a blast. I loved the first one (and I highly recommend you play it first) and have been eagerly awaiting this game's release. No disappointments at all. I haven't even unlocked online fortresses, or the ability to build my own army of Orcs. I realize I sound like a nerd, and that's because I'm totally geeked out over this game. Get it.

I very much enjoyed the first game with the story, the gameplay, and just everything involved, however it felt a little short. This new game has so much more content, but it doesn't feel like good content to me. It seems repetitive, boring, and very detached. There's no drive for me to play the game because there's no challenge to it, and I don't feel like I'm accomplishing anything.

I loved the first game, Shadow of Mordor. And this so far is a worthy successor to that game. Nothing more fun than slicing and dicing a bunch of orcs. My only gripe about the games is the annoying cut scenes every time a captain confronts you, because there's no way to skip thru them. Otherwise, killer game!

I love this game so much lol. I reccomend playing Shadows of Mordor before playing this game so you understand whats going on. If you are a fan of The Lord of the Rings and the lore behind it. Then this game is for you. I platinumed the game, which means i recieved all trophys possible, if that doesnt tell you that the game is good, then not really sure how else to explain it.

This is the sequel to shadow of mordor and takes place right after the events of the first game. Game is beautiful combat is fun and will take 40-50hrs to complete 100%. Be carful there are micro transactions included in this game but you do NOT need to purchase any with real money to beat the game.
