Handicap problems can make using a cell phone difficult. Plus some folks don't want a cell or another bill. These units are easy to handle and have great distance. Very helpful at flea markets as well as malls and in the woods:)

Nice upgrade from my old x-talker t51vp3. It has better battery life and more channels. I haven't really had a chance to test out the range. Will add to this review shortly.

Bought these to replace old set I had been using for communicating on 4000 acre deer lease. Quality of sound is great at any location on the ranch so far and the number of channels lets me find a channel others are not using locally. Battery power holds up all day and extra weather scan is a bonus with these radios

I bought other ones and had to return due to really weak signal. These ones are around the same price as the others but a lot better. It brought the ear pieces and are rechargeable which is a plus. Battery so far last over a day with continuous use. Definitely recommend

CLEAR AND GREAT SIGNAL FOR ANYONE WHO MIGHT BE HIKING, ON A CRUISE SHIP, AT THE ZOO OR AT A CONSTRUCTION SITE. THE RADIO IS VERY LIGHT WEIGHT AND THE OPERATION IS VERY SIMPLE NOT TO MENTION THE BATTERY LIFE IS LONG.

These are awesome. Over the years I've probably gone through 10 different sets of what I'd call relatively "cheap" radio sets. These are awesome and probably the best set of radios I've ever owned. I would absolutely recommend this brand and this set to a friend.

Midland is a good brand for walkie talkies. This set transmits clear audio in a long range, reliable for use in place where cell signals are not available. Nice product!

Despite what the marketing material says, this is actually a FRS device as of 2017. The FCC bumped GMRS up to 5 watts and FRS up to 2 watts. This device is a maximum of 2 watts. So this device doesn’t really require a license anymore and is really classified as a FRS radio. For close (1 mile) range use, I would recommend this for ordinary use. For extraordinary radio use, probably not.

Loves these . Took them out on rhe trail and they work great. Stay charged for hours.

Easy to use, long lasting charge. Have used these while traveling through mountainous and twisty drives in the Ozarks.

It's a lot of fun when you can use them with your son period whether you're in the house playing intense from one bedroom to another or outside these are a lot of fun.

Love this product! Ordered them online and picked them up curb side at our local store. They don’t have to be charged frequently and have an incredible range. Great product!

I was not super impressed with these. I realized before-hand that it would not really be 38 mile range regardless of obstructions. We mostly use them for having multiple cars on vacation and staying in contact with each other even without having cell phone range. I found that even one mile away it completely lost contact. We were in a canyon up in Logan and we couldn't hear each other at ALL until we were about 100 yards away from each other. Seriously.... not even longer than a football field away. I figured it might be the trees or something, because that was the only thing between us, not canyon walls or anything like that. Just trees..... When we drove home, we separated and tested this theory from a couple hundred yards away, and we lost signal from about the same distance on OPEN ROAD. These are not all what they are cracked out to be.... I mean, the 20 dollar set was just as good, but the battery life was garbage. So... if you are using them just for keeping in contact with cars within line-of-site, they work great. Don't expect much more from them. I expected a little better range with them being as pricey as they were.
