Previously, Miku was such a blessing for us as new parents. The app would allow you to monitor your child’s breathing, see how long they’ve been sleeping (not super accurate but helpful), see various stats. It made the price point make sense. Now, all of the useful stuff is behind a paywall. Also, we’ve had to have 2-3 replacements sent due to various issues, with the last replacement and the current one not having a functioning auto option for night vision. We now have to keep it on all the time (no big deal, but still). I’m not familiar with other monitors, but I wouldn’t recommend this one anymore unless you’re willing to deal with a LOT of issues such as what I mentioned above and issues randomly where the monitor simply doesn’t work and you have to do a bunch of resets

Gets hot, and doesn’t always alert me, but overall, it works. It’s made me a lot less anxious. It has great night vision and sound. I returned my owlet bc this was overall better IMO. Only cons IMO are the flashing green light, and lack of alerts.

Almost 5 stars. I deducted 1 because of connection. Sometimes it is a little laggy which is a little annoying. But still a excellent camera.

It's helpful to have another pair of eyes on the baby, in this case 1 more eye that will send you information over its app. your baby will be just fine without this but if you get something like this then it will give you a bit more piece of mind...

Would probably rate a 4.5 star if possible - when looking at the options - HD, night vision, breathing movement, music, wifi, look of unit, etc....this was an easy decision. Less than a 5 because the wifi is clunky at times and the movement alarm is not perfect. I also didn't to hook up any gizmos to my son to get readings - this was a good compromise for peace of mind. Have used for over a year.

The app itself drains the battery a bit more than I'd like so I paired it with an old school baby monitor for sound. But checking up on your kid from anywhere eases the anxiety of being at work on 3rd shift. Definitely a great buy. Price is still steep but amazing nonetheless. *P.S. biggest thing people complain about is connection issues. Check the Wi-Fi signal your router transmits, sometimes it's too high.

Great product with some very important flaws. Overall the quality of the HD camera is exceptional, and there are several other great features that accompany this product - soothing sounds/music, two-way voice communication, and sleep analytics to name a few. HOWEVER, the breathing measurements are not accurate, and unless the perfect environmental conditions are met, they will continue to be inaccurate. For example, when we swaddle our baby (like most people do) the added layers of clothing skew the respiration numbers. Also, the activity tracker (e.g. baby is asleep, is moving, etc) are not accurate. Both my wife and I work in healthcare, and were looking for a product that would give us an extra layer of security that 'our baby was ok' during the night. After a week of using the Miku, we also purchased the Owlet sock as a suppliment, which we have been extremely satisfied with. If you're looking for the best camera on the market, this product is for you. If you're looking for peace-of-mind that your baby is breathing, don't buy the Miku.

While I enjoyed this product while my son was an infant the recent company change in structure has changed my perception of the product. The majority of the features now require a subscription purchase in order to use which is entirely unreasonable for the premium that is paid upfront. While the live breathing is nice it isn’t fully accurate and not dependable aside from easing minor stress. This product is not worth a monthly $10 fee.

Don’t trust your baby with this crap

We’ve had Miku for a little over a year. We decided to upgrade from an older baby monitor which worked fine, but doesn’t work when we’re outside of the home network and doesn’t have the bells and whistle of MIKU. WORST DECISION EVER!! The first couple of months, it was great. Everything worked as advertised. However, within a few months, we were not able to log into the application. Constantly telling us that miku is offline. We called tech support (don’t bother, no direct support line), and emailed them, finally got a few back and forth email. After a couple of days of that, we finally got a phone call and asked us to remove all shared email and to use a single account. Why have a share feature that you can’t use? Anyways, we did that and worked for another couple of months. Now a few months goes by and miku is constantly going offline and online every few seconds. Eventually after a couple of minutes, it’ll just stay offline. We can’t use this product any longer. Emailed and call support, no use. All they say is to try to remove all shares account (which is already done). Then asked us to change resolution to standard instead of HD (again, same question, why have HD, but can’t be turned on?). Reboot the device and check our connection. Everything was done accordingly, still miku works for 3 seconds and goes into the offline online cycle. Our WiFi router is next room over and shows strong signal at all time. Been a few days and still no response from miku. We can no longer rely on this product and their support is not even trying to help.

Real Time Peace of Mind! & so much more!

I was impressed with the packaging and design of the Miku Smart Baby Monitor. As I unwrapped it, the container reminded me of unpacking an iPhone or MacBook, very high quality with great attention to detail. They also included everything you could possibly need for proper instillation (i.e.: screwdriver, screws, dry-wall screws, measuring tape, etc.). Once installed, (very easy process) I simply downloaded the App and connected to my WiFi. The Miku is amazing and very easy to use. We have the App installed on our IPhones and on our IPads for easy access all around the house. It also has the capability to allow others to securely view your feed, like grandparents who may not live as close). The camera itself looks very modern and sleek and provides clear pictures both day and night. The Miku comes with State of the Art sleep tracking and analytics to help monitor your babies sleeping patterns and allows you to make corrections to ensure higher sleep quality. It also monitors room temp and humidity (which helps us in California with these heat waves). The rpm tracker also helps inform me when my baby is actually entering deep sleep, which provides extra peace of mind before I fall asleep myself. Of course it also has notifications that will alert you if someone removes your child from the crib or if the rmp’s and no movement is detected. I also love the vast sounds and music options that help soothe my child to sleep and we play it throughout the night (we currently use womb sounds). Overall this is THE BEST monitor I’ve seen and we were gifted one from a friend and bought a cheap $30 one off Amazon. I highly recommend this camera to anyone who desires real-time peace of mind!

After one week of using our Miku smart baby monitor, here is what we LOVE: -Packaging was very appealing and well organized upon opening. It was easy to figure out set-up as well as installation. Installation required only 5-10 minutes and all the tools needed were provided. -Covering applied over the monitor cord makes for a clean nursery look and improves overall safety once the baby becomes more mobile. -App for monitoring was easy to download and navigate- no instruction needed. -Monitor can be activated from the phone app or monitor itself- no disturbing baby if you forget to turn it on in the nursery. -The monitor picture is very clear and includes coverage of the entire crib without need to move or adjust angle. -The monitor provides more than just live feed or baby- you can see breathing rate, temp, humidity, if baby is asleep versus movement and much more. -There are some unique features that include playing lullabies or white noise over the monitor. -On the main screen, there is a timer that keeps track of how long the baby has been asleep, or if awake, how long movement has been occurring. -App displays a log of baby wake-ups throughout the night and video footage of these movements are saved to viewing. A few things we would like to see: -LED monitor power light is very bright at night. For a mom who likes a pitch-black room for a good sleeping environment for a baby, this light required coverage. -Volume does not go as quiet as I would like despite being turned all the way down. All in all, a great monitor with a lot of extra bells and whistles that really provide a good overall picture of baby’s sleep when you yourself are asleep. The monitor is easy to install with no needed tools from home, the app is convenient and easy to use and there is provided peace of mind with RPM monitoring without anything connected to the baby.

Nothing but issues with this thing. Couldn't get any support from Miku. For some reason my iPhone can only connect to the monitor while on 5ghz wifi, which is a problem due to the position of my router. Constantly freezes, always having to reset. The resolution of the monitor is meh. Other than that it's a great monitor, the setup is pretty simple.

Cuts out a couple times an hour. Tried in different addresses, with reliable wifi. I only know it cuts out because I have a separate sound machine running and notice the sound goes out. Video feed quality is fine, features work excellent, good setup and app, but it loses the audio feed when the phone is locked and I am listening. Unreliable when you need something to count on.
