    Bad User Interface

I bought this GPS because of all of the features it has. A huge POI database, MP3 Player, Video Player, Camera, Contacts, GPS Tracking log, real time traffic, can handle 8gb SD cards etc. However The first thing I noticed is that while you can load a playlist of MP3s and have them keep playing when you switch to Mio Maps, you cannot interact with the MP3 Player while navigating without having to exit Mio Maps and end navigation. So the feature set is nice but it really isn't integrated. It is more like a cobbled together collection of programs that don't work together. I want a GPS that can play my MP3s and podcasts while giving me directions. I don't want a GPS's weak speaker competing with the car stereo. So to me being able to change music track while driving is crucial. This unit just can't do it. My wife's Garmin Nuvi 350 can and it can play from Playlists too. The touchscreen "buttons" were also too small to use with your fingers, You really need to use a stylus. The headphone jack is 2.5 MM not 3.5 MM like normal so it would need an adaptor to play through headphones or a casset deck or FM transmiter. On the plus side the split screen navigation was nice. The camera was decent. I returned it and am going to buy a Harmon Kardon GPS-810.

its only missing integrated radar detector!

at 4.3" the screen is very decent size, easy to read and bright. battery life is somewhat short but in my case the unit always sits in the cradle with the charger plugged in, its better if you use with the cradle because the unit actually works faster and displays the maps faster while on battery there must a power saving feature that slows the microprocessor and maps stutter while on gps mode. the bluetooth feature is awesome! allows you to pair with your phone and make calls, see who's calling, etc. I really wish it would support voice dialing tho although I'm pretty sure there must an app for this unit that adds that feature, btw this unit is very hackable and can be customized with different apps.

    Great GPS

I got a really great deal on it...I use it solely for its gps capabilities (all the extras really aren't important to me as long as i get to where i need to be) and have had no problems so far. Very accurate. Also, for those just buying, i have been told that it may take some time for a new gps system to calibrate, so be patient for the first few weeks as the system tells you to make turns 100 feet after your turn, etc. (it's supposed to fix itself) I haven't had any such issues though...only every once in awhile, but it's pretty obvious
