Customers consistently note the M190 Mini Pro Projector's compact size and portability as significant advantages, making it ideal for those on the go. While picture quality is deemed acceptable in dark environments, brightness limitations and the somewhat challenging focus mechanism are frequently cited drawbacks. The convenient HDMI and USB-C inputs are also appreciated.

The Miroir M190 Mini Pro Projector was not all that I had expected. Upon initial unboxing I was quite impressed with presentation. The black projector is sleek (shows finger prints), an HDMI cable was included, and there was a power cable that has travel prong options for use in international wall plugs – an incredible bonus in my book. The item that was lacking in initial unboxing, a manual. Maybe I am old school, but having a manual with at least some basic instructions can go a long way and this device does not include one. I found myself kind of just messing around to test it out and use, which was fine just could have been easier. The first time I opened the shutter to the projector, I did not realize it would auto power on, so quickly before I knew it a bright light came from the projector – avoid looking into it, like I did at that instance. This was right out of the box, the projector had a charge; which to me is quite impressive. A portable projector with a battery life, quite the technology. Once powered on, there is a “directions” screen that shows the options of device connectivity. There is an HDMI, type-C USB, and standard USB. The HDMI and type-C are listed with the devices usable. There is a message saying an apple digital AV adapter is needed to connect an iPhone, other USB-C devices to the USB-C, iPad or MacBook with a USB-C and well, this is where my journey got a bit confusing. I attempted to plug my MacBook in using an HDMI cable, nothing happened, an iPhone 11 with a USB-C charger in directly, nothing happened, and also attempted with my wives iPhone XS with no luck. I then attempted to plug my Dell PC in using an HDMI, and it worked perfectly fine. Display was clear, for a 480 resolution at an 80” display image I felt impressed for a pocket sized projector. Yes, 480 resolution has become below “standard” that one expects, but I felt it to be perfectly acceptable for the situation at hand. There is an auto leveling feature where if you tilt the projector, it will attempt to straighten out the image helping with display. You can also adjust the clarity/focus as needed. There is sound, but nothing too impressive. Keeping with the idea of the overall size, this is comparable to what I would expect. The greatest disappointment I have had thus far, is the inability to use devices without the specific cord type that is expected on that initial startup screen - specifically for the iPhone. At this point, I am assuming that you need to have an apple digital AV adapter, which if that is the case, is okay but another accessory one would need to keep with them to use the projector on the fly. I do not have one, so at this time I cannot test that theory; but I have not been able to use an apple product yet with the projector. As mentioned, I did not have issue with my windows based PC; however, if considering this Mini Pro Projector as an on the go item, there is a bit of a letdown in the lack of plug in go for my iPhone. Now, when using this with a PC or laptop the Miroir is quite lovely. As mentioned previously, the image is solid for being able to project at 80” with auto adjusting to slope, having sound, and battery life. This is a nifty device, but could be easier to implement device hookup and use.

For what it's worth... this is a pretty good entry level portable projector at it's price point. Very compact and light enough to carry with you anywhere you may see fit. I've taken it camping and a few backyard movie nights and it's up to par to it's specs. While it's not HD/4K... it's very viewable and has a good set of internal speakers for it's size. I've used it with a Chromecast with Google TV while connected to my car's wifi and it works like a charm. There's ONE thing I didn't like at first but gotten used too... The manual focus lever wheel. It's not as smooth as similar devices. I'm sure higher models has a auto focus feature, but this isn't a huge deal breaker. If you're looking for something affordable... check this one out. I'll recommend it!

The projector came packaged well and even had a wall charger for multiple regions, which I didn’t expect but was neat to see. The projector itself is compact and has a nice design. There are multiple different ports on the side for multiple connectivity options. It also has a built-in stand so you can adjust the height as needed. The instructions were pretty bare and didn’t make initial start-up easy. I ended up doing a quick google search to understand how everything works. I connected my iPhone and Android one at a time to get a comparison and played YouTube videos from both. The screen quality is descent and gets better the smaller the projection is. I could see everything well, but don’t expect high-quality HD quality if that’s what you’re looking for. The sound was a downside for me. When it was just me or 1-2 other people, we could hear everything perfectly. But the sound isn’t that powerful and I could see this being an issue if you’re presenting in a large room with more people. I’d highly recommend getting an external speaker to deal with this. The battery life is also fairly decent. On a full charge, it lasted about 2-2.5 hours before I had to plug it in again. This should take you through most movies. However, if you need it for something longer make sure it’s plugged-in beforehand. One thing I didn’t know is that this can charge your phone if it’s connected. So that was a nice little surprise! Overall, this is a nice compact projector with noticeable limitations. Who I would recommend this for: people who value portability over screen and sound quality, need something for short presentations on the job, or just want something they can turn on and have fun with their friends while watching something. Who I would not recommend this for: anyone looking for a home theater projector, want the best sound and picture quality, or want functionality over portability. I would recommend this projector to a friend. Even with the limitations I mentioned, it does its job well.

Miroir should add a more comprehensive user manual in the box. I had to look online to see why my USB-C to USB-C connection is not working. They illustrated it as easy to connect through USB-C to Android devices. I tried but it didn't work. Then I got my USB-C to HDMI adapter and connected the projector through HDMI and VOILA! Well, all that after some time of frustration and testing... Once got it up and going, the projector is not bad. Clear image and long lasting battery. I had it running for almost 2 hours without problems. It can also be used as power bank to charge other devices. That's useful when using my HDMI adapter that requires power source to work. The price (now) is good. The package is perfect. Holding well. Fan noise is acceptable and also very good adjusting the image vertical lines to match the angle of the projector. Connect it to a Google Cast or a Fire stick (it has USB power output) and you get a very good stand-alone wireless projector. You will like it then. It is a good way to make an 80 inch portable TV to carry with you from one room to another or just anywhere you need it. Do I recommend this to a friend? Maybe yes. But I'll make sure I explain for them how to properly use it. Or recommend buying a good USB-C to HDMI adapter (interface).

This mini project is worth it!! I can’t believe how well it works. The image is so clear with or without light. Its a rechargeable projector making it easy to move around without all the cables. I was able to attached my streaming devices (Firestick, Chromecast)with no problem. The battery lasted a little bit more than 2 hrs, which in my opinion it should last longer. The sound of the speaker was ok, but you can always add your own speaker. Its definitely pocket size, you can literally take it anywhere. Im so impressed how something so small can project imagines so well. Its truly an amazing gadget to have for a fun night to spend with the family watching movies. I definitely recommend this mini projector.

OVERVIEW: The Miroir M190 mini projector is easy to operate once you figure out how to turn it on. The instructions are minimal at best. The Mini Projector is very compact being only 6” long, 1” high, 3.5” wide and weighs only about 1 pound. The M190 comes with the following: Mini projector, HDMI cable, 3 adapter plugs with DC adapter, quick start guide. Other cables that can be used but are not included are USB-C, USB-A, and Apple iOS adapters. The Miroir Mini Projector has several ports for connecting to various devices-USB-C, USB-A, HDMI and a 3.5mm Audio Jack for headphones or external speaker(s). FEATURES: - USB-C video and charge ports - Manual Focus wheel and Auto Keystone (self-adjusting lens to prevent angle distortion) - Up to 200 Lumens LED brightness - Up to 2 hours of projection time on battery (after fully charged) - Tilt with Auto Keystone correction to 90 degrees with built in stand. - 480p picture - Projection screen from 24” – 80” size - 3-watt stereo speaker - DLP display type. - Slide switch underneath to open the lens - LED Lamp life 20000 hours on regular setting/30000 hours on Economy setting. The Manual focus wheel located on the left side of the Mini Projector is very sensitive. It takes several turns to get the image in focus. Once it is, it’s very clear and you can move the projector back and forth without having to refocus. The darker the room the clearer the image. The built-in stand goes from 0 – 90 degrees for projection on any screen or even the ceiling. If you don’t have a screen, a blank light-colored wall works just fine. I used a blank wall and it worked just fine. The Miroir M190 has several ways of connecting it for viewing: Apple iPadOS, Apple iOS, Mac, Chrome, Windows by using the ports on the side of the projector. For the Apple products, an adapter is required. The Apple adapter is not included but can be purchased separately. Only the HDMI connecting cable is included with the projector. The Miroir M190 Mini Projector has two projection settings, Regular and Economy. With the Economy mode, the room needs to be as dark as possible in order to see the image clearly. The regular mode doesn’t need as much darkness to see a clear image. I connected the projector to my laptop using the HDMI cable as was able to watch a Netflix movie clearly on a blank white wall. The wall is approximately 80 inches in diagonal. I tried both the regular mode and the economy mode. Both projected a clear image, although the economy mode wasn’t as bright since it wasn’t completely dark in the room. When connected to my laptop the M190 Mini Projector will keep charging using the laptop. Otherwise, you can just leave it plugged into the wall using the included DC adapter. DISPLAY – total resolution is 854x480p. For a low resolution the image is still sharp, even on an 80-inch diagonal wall. CONS: - Not Bluetooth or wireless enabled - Manual focus - Not ethernet enabled - Not energy star certified - Does not have optical or digital zoom capability - Does not come with either a case or a pouch for protecting the Mini Projector from scuffs or scratches. For the price, the Miroir M190 Mini Projector should have at least come with a soft case or pouch to protect it. Especially since it is considered “portable”. - There is no detailed User Manual, only a 2-paragraph quick start guide. There is a “user manual” on the Miroir USA website, but even that is minimal at best. I had to find the slide that opens the lens cover by searching the entire projector. Miroir should have at least published a guide that explains the functions and how to use them. Right now, it’s only by trial and error that I was able to use the M190 Mini Projector to it’s fullest. CONCLUSION: - The Miroir M190 Mini Projector is nice in that it is small and very portable. However, for the price it should have come with at the least a pouch and a more detailed user guide. At this time there is no case to fit the projector exactly. I was able to purchase a pouch online that’s big enough for it to fit in. I recommend the Miroir M190 Mini Projector with reservations because of all the above cons and the fact that it is pricey. More features should have been added, IE: Auto focus, carry case and a much more concise User Manual. Then the M190 Mini Projector would be more worth the high price.

So it’s pretty clear to me after using this projector that in the very near future living rooms are going to change entirely. I have a dedicated home theater room with an Epson 4k HDR projector and a Dolby Atmos surround system. I’m not getting rid of it anytime soon. But the Miroir is a glimpse at a much, much easier way of getting a gigantic screen on any wall you want and I really can’t wait for the day that something this small can do 4k and connect via Bluetooth to a sound bar. Because the form factor of the Miroir is darn near perfect. It’s probably smaller than a Nintendo Switch, perfect for a backpack pocket, feels solid and not cheap, and has a built-in rechargeable battery. Really, you can take this anywhere. The auto keystone feature is also a huge highlight of this projector. I frankly wish my Epson had it, it’s that good. You will get a (mostly) rectangular picture at nearly any angle without having to tweak any menu setting or move a finger. This means you do not have to be perfectly square and level with the surface you’re projecting on, which again just accompanies the portability of this device and adds to the overall usability. Along with that it is plenty bright. We’ll see how that holds up over time, but for now I have no complaints. Watching this with some room or nearby light is not a problem. It will not be as bright as your TV in a room with six lights blazing overhead, but no projector is. But you will not need a completely dark room to be satisfied and that’s terrific. It’s also being undersold as far as the size it can project. While it says up to 80” on the box, I have a 90” screen and it not only filled that, but can go even larger! It’s insane. I plan to take it outside one night soon and throw it against the side of my house to see just how big it will go. But 480p. And here’s where the wishlist starts. First and foremost, this is not terrible. We’re spoiled with 4k, but it’s not like 480 looks horrible. You’re talking DVD quality and that looks just fine at smaller sizes but you will notice the pixels the larger you go. It’s not the end of the world. It’s especially not the end of the world for $300 and a projector you can give your kids. They will not care about pixels. They will care about ease and brightness, and so will you. It is fine. But… it’s an inevitability that there will be better options in a few years. When something this size at this price can do 1080p it will be a game changer. Until then, this is what we got. Quirks: while I love the design overall, there are literally no buttons on this projector and no remote control. There is no settings menu of any kind. No on-device software. That’s mostly a good thing, but I’d love to at least have some way of finding out how many lamp hours I’ve used the projector for. I’d love to have SOME control over the colors and picture settings. I’d love to have a much better control of the focus. You can get the picture fairly sharp (although small text seems all but destined to remain slightly blurry at larger protected sizes) using the focus wheel, but good Lord is the sweet spot hard to hit. I promise you that you will scroll past it, scroll back, miss it again, and then do this song and dance six or seven times until you finally land on that one minuscule bull’s eye of proper focus. It’s a pain. There are touch-buttons on the projector for + and - volume, but then one in the middle of those labeled M. My assumption was that this would be for Mute. It is not. It apparently is for Mode, which switches between inputs if you have both a device plugged in via HDMI and USB-C. But who’s doing that? And why not include a remote if a bunch of people use the device this way? Which brings me to the manual. My projector came with none, so my guesswork about the M button was a necessity until I went to Miroir’s website and downloaded one. This proved to be frustrating for a couple reasons: 1) the manual clearly states the projector comes with a USB-C cable. The box clearly states it does NOT, only HDMI. This is a big shame and a case where I think Miroir is simply being cheap to a fault. Because USB-C is fantastic. I primarily got this projector to use with an iPad Pro. Fortunately, I have a Samsung USB-C monitor (which, ahem, came with the cable), because guess what? Not all USB-C cables are remotely the same. You MUST use one that is the latest gen and allows for display to be carried over the cable. The chances are extremely likely that the USB-C cable that came with your phone or tablet does NOT do this. And guess how Miroir is mainly marketing this projector? Yes, to be used via USB-C with your phone and tablet. If that’s the case, GIVE US THE DARN CABLE. I wonder how many people will return this projector because they can’t get it to work with their mobile devices for this simple reason? Huge fumble by Miroir, imo. Lastly, I’ve noticed that the colors over USB-C, specifically with the iPad, are way off. Blue is purple. Go watch Lego Ninjago and you’ll see what i mean. It doesn’t seem to be as bad when connecting via HDMI, but here’s another rub: I don’t have many HDMI devices anymore, especially not portable ones like laptops and tablets that I’d like to use with this projector. Getting those to work via HDMI requires a dock or dongle and the one I tried it with caused massive problems. I couldn’t get my Windows laptop to show a picture at all using the dongle and HDMI. My iPad Pro would send the picture, but no audio. Maybe it’s the dongle’s problem, but it works just fine with other monitors and those same devices. I tried connecting a windows desktop via HDMI to the projector and it simply didn’t acknowledge a 2nd display at all. Another time, I connected a raspberry pi via HDMI and it worked without issue. Trying to sort all of this out is maddening. Mainly I just want to connect a phone or tablet to this projector via USB-C and call it a day. Which I can and which is lovely at times… but the colors aren’t right and they didn’t include the cable. That might be a dealbreaker to some. I really want to love this projector and it again is a good glimpse at the potential of this technology. But there are some shortcomings on the manufacture’s side that are very frustrating.

My initial reaction to this did not go well. The documentation consists of just a fold out quick start guide with a couple diagrams and barely a word on it. Just a phone number for text only support. Took me a good 10 minutes looking for an on/off button to figure out there was a slider on it that opens the lens and turns it on at the same time. Next, I connected my Galaxy s21 phone using USB-C to USB-C to it and the only thing showing on the screen was a similar diagram saying “Connecting To Your Device”. Had no idea how long I should wait so I just left it alone for a while to find out it wasn’t connecting to anything. Got the same screen when I had nothing plugged in to it. I eventually connected my laptop to it just to see if it worked and I was able to get a screen projected using the HDMI input of the projector. It looks OK but I didn’t get this to project my laptop. I really wanted to use this to project my phone. Knowing it’s just 480p, I thought a phone would be the perfect fit for this unit. The projector is not a whole lot bigger than my phone which I thought would be great to carry around with me. Being a hobby bird and wildlife photographer, I always keep my best photos on my phone (taken with a real camera, not the phone) My thoughts would be how cool it would be to project some of my work at a much larger scale be it at work, a friend’s house or wherever. I was really looking forward to this idea. It definitely has potential as it really is a cool little unit and to have a couple hours worth of charge in it at a time is pretty nice. Especially since I only plan on using it to project photos here and there, a full charge for me could last a few days. Once cool thing I noticed is when I use the fold out leg on it to project it straight up to the ceiling, it gives the appearance that it’s actually hanging down from the ceiling. It bothered me at first but I ended up kind of liking it. If I folded it in just a little bit and wasn’t aiming it 90 degrees straight up, say 75-80 degrees, it appears to flatten itself out on the ceiling. I ended up getting a USB-C to HDMI adapter to try and get my phone projected but all I got was “Monitor or TV can’t display Samsung Dex” message and can’t do anything with it. Giving up for now – Guess I shouldn’t have gone with the 480p version. Hopefully, I’ll find some use for this and not have it just be a brick – oh well

Compact, Large Projection Area, Needs a Dark Room

When took the Miroir M190 out of the box, I noticed two things right away. First, the incredibly compact size. Second, the lack controls or buttons on the projector. Clearly, Miroir was going for portability here, and they achieved it. The M190 does fit into a few of my pants and suit jacket pockets, but it’s a bit heavy and bulky for me to want to actually carry it around in there for long. It does slide nicely into a slim inside compartment in my bag, though, which is very convenient. The projector doesn’t have much in the way of on-board controls. There’s a slide cover over the lens that doubles as a power switch, a small wheel to adjust the focus, and three touch buttons on top of the M190 that don’t appear until it is powered on. Those three buttons are volume down, volume up, and a button that changes between USB-C and HDMI input. The manual also talks about pressing volume up and down together to switch between eco (battery saving) and normal (full brightness) mode, but I honestly couldn’t tell the difference between the two. So the M190 is compact, and minimalist, but it really does work, and easily, too. I was able to connect my Android phone using a USB-C to USB-C cable and it worked right away (not all phones support this, but mine does). Next, I connected my laptop using the included HDMI cable, and that worked right away, too. Finally, I connected an iPad using an Apple Lightning to HDMI adapter and the HDMI cable, and once again, it just worked. The picture quality was reasonable, even at very large projection sizes… but the M190 does not have sufficient brightness to work well in anything but a dark (or mostly dark) room. Also, the speaker is louder than you expect from something this small, but isn’t going to fill up anything but a small room with sound. I’ll mostly use the audio out port for connecting an external speaker. I really like the fact that the M190 will charge via the USB-C connection. I’m already charging my laptop and my phone via USB-C, so it’s great that I don’t have to pack yet another power cord! Overall, this is a very compact, convenient, easy to use projector without a lot of bells and whistles. If you value portability and simplicity, then this could be a great choice. If you need high-def picture or the ability to project in a room that’s not dark, this might be disappointing.

The Miroir M190 Mini as a really neat and unique device. It adds an extra element of fun. It is a plug and play device and is really quite simple to use. I anticipate using this when I travel or for outdoor movie/TV nights. I certainly recommend the Miroir line of projects and this has its perks for traveling as it fits in most pockets and quite easily in bags. I would recommend this if you intend to use this when traveling...IT would be a really fun device to use when camping.

The Miroir projector is a nice portable display device that fits in your pocket. Makes up to an 80” screen and supports every major and common interface. Comes with a beautiful gloss finish and its 90 degree angle capable kickstand. Additionally, there’s a small speaker onboard, which could have been better. But to be frank, the speakers not all that good. Expect your flagship phone to have a better audio quality. It lacks a fair amount of documentation, although figuring out how to work it wasn’t a big deal. Turning it on gives off enough instructions to do just bout anything you wish. It isn’t very bright, don’t expect to play anything off it in direct or near direct sunlight. Wherever you project something you would need to do it in a fairly dark environment or literally pitch dark. I had trouble seeing it in my living room with a window open in the next room over at around 1PM. The Miroir M190 seems to be geared to the user that’s on the go, not the user who wants to watch a movie in their home theater. But all of the shortcomings I’ve mentioned so far don’t bother me, and can actually be overlooked. The biggest shortcoming, in my opinion, is the lack of an auto standby mode. No matter how long after you’ve stopped playing something, it doesn’t shutoff or dim.

This ultra portable projector is perfect for entertaining the kids during outdoor trips. It's easy to set up (you will need an HDMI to USB-C adapter for most phones and tablets - it comes with an HDMI cord but no adapter), just plug in and it projects. It projects up to an 80" image at 480p and has an internal battery that is stated to last 2 hours (I've never run out of battery playing a movie off a full charge). It's small enough to technically fit in your pocket, but it's a tight fit. Easy to put in a pocket of your backpack though. The sound is adequate, although not great, but the speakers have to be small for such a small unit. Get a 3.5 mm - 3.5 mm cord and hook it up to a portable speaker for best use. A stand at the bottom lets you point the projector at practically any angle to get the best picture position. Why only 4 stars? Well, it's only 480p. I imagine some sacrifice in picture quality has to be made to make it so small, but it's hard going from watching things in 4k HDR to 480p. 720p would have been probably fine, but standard definition? Luckily, my kids aren't tech savvy enough to know or care about the difference, and I mainly use it for their entertainment.

The Miroir Mini Pro Projector M190 is a nice projector that fits in your pocket. Literally. It fits in the back pocket of my Levi's. In the box: - Projector - Charger - HDMI Cable - 3.5mm Stereo Audio Cable - Multiple plugs that snap onto the charger for international use. First Impression: - This thing is TINY! - Ample connection options - HDMI, USB 2.0, USB3.0, 3.5mm Audio, and power, all on the right side of the unit. - Auto keystone correction. And it actually works! Extremely well. - Bright enough to work well in a dimly lit room. - 2 hour rechargeable battery, so it can be used off grid to watch a TV show or two, or project cartoons on a bed sheet when camping. Image Quality: - It accepts HD (1080p) input, but displays 480p, which sounds bad, but it is a very watchable image when focused and placed at the appropriate distance for an 80" image. - The focus dial works well, and easily brings the image into focus, without a lot of fiddling. Sound Quality: - About what you would expect from a 3W amplifier and tiny little speaker, but certainly good enough to enjoy a movie or TV show. Pros: - Quick easy setup - Good image quality - Sound is loud enough to enjoy movie and TV material. - As a bonus, the USB 2.0 port has enough power operate a Roku streaming stick. Cons: - None, really, if you buy this for what it designed to do, inexpensive ultra-portable projector that literally fits in your pocket. - On the other hand, don't buy this if you are looking for a 120" 4K image in you state of the art home theater, because that's what this is. I would absolutely recommend this projector If you need or want an ultra portable projector that provides a good image and decent sound for use during outdoor adventures.

I can't turn projector off. When close the lens cover it seams to turn off, but with movements the leds flickering. After a full charge when not in use on my backpack the battery discharge. It's not good for a portable projector. Every time i need to use the battery is dead.
