They thought that making it open world and just quantity instead of quality to it was the best choice. This game is boring in both story and gameplay additions. If you liked the original Mirrors Edge they you will most likely not like this game.

Could have been better

I believe if they just stuck to the same mechanics as the first game (but fixed the issues), it would have been better. Luckily, the game is now pretty cheap, so may be worth a try if you enjoy the series.

My son doesn't like it

This is something that he really does not like hence the 1 star. He asked me to return it he dislikes it that much.
