The film that started the mission impossible franchise on the big screen. It never gets old and still good compared to its six film catalogue.

4k audio and video are noticeably better than the standard blu ray. If you have a 4k tv and player, then the upgrade is a no brainer.

The movie that started the MI series off. The action is tame compared to Fallout but is still good, particularly the sequence on the train. Unless you just absolutely have to, pass on buying the 4K Ultra version. I gave the movie three stars because the transfer is not good at all and looks just like a DVD.

The image looks gorgeous. There's no mistaking its crisp, seamless cinematic bonafides. Grain can be a little heavy in select shots, but it's often very even, albeit well pronounced. It's flattering and gorgeously rendered. The 12-bit Dolby Vision colors are a great improvement over the Blu-ray as well. Whites are more intense and clean, flesh tones are far more balanced, and the entire palette enjoys a significant increase in color depth, vibrance, and yield. It's much more evenly presented. No new extras are included, but the carryover Blu-ray offers plenty.

Mission: Impossible has finally received the 4K HDR treatment, and man does it look spectacular with it! The previous Blu-Ray release didn't capture the charm that the movie had, but Paramount has righted wrongs and unveiled a more colorful and powerful film. The picture has greatly improved, with HDR giving the image such a great look and color, and the 5.1 audio track being as solid as it will ever be!

This is the upgrade we've been looking forward to! Audio is now Dolby TrueHD (not remastered for Dolby Atmos) instead of lossy Dolby Digital. The 4K video makes the image pop better and grain is retained. The extras on the included Blu-ray is the same as the previous release. Highly recommended!

Had not watched this film in a while so I had to purchase the 4K version. The 1st film in the series and it did not disappoint many years later. If you are a fan of the series it is worth purchasing.

When they released all of the Mission Impossible movies on 4K, I was very excited. I had hoped to see something amazing, however, with the first movie, the 4K upgrade does not show. Have to keep in mind that the movie is 20 years old too. I hope that as the movies get newer, the quality in 4K improves as well...

After years of watching a serviceable-but-not-great Blu-ray, it's terrific to finally have a stellar presentation for this film. Well worth the purchase, plus you get a 4K digital copy!

I had only seen this movie on DVD prior to the 4K version. All the reviews about the greatly improved video and audio quality in 4K are spot on. Well worth the purchase.

This film has a great cast and is the first film in the series. Overall it is a good film although compared to todays standards the special affects are a bit lacking. It does make you appreciate how great the more modern movies look. I enjoyed it and will watch it again.

The first Mission Impossible kicks off the franchise! While you can't expect magic with an older film like this however the 4k version is still the better version.
