I've always loved the show, and this year is no exception. It is the ONLY good baseball sim not made for 5 year olds (cough, RBI baseball, cough). However, I can't give it 5 stars. Not because of the gameplay, it's just as good as it's always been, if not better. The rough online start loses the star for me. Diamond dynasty is my main mode by far, and the dissapointing server launch hampered my enjoyment for the first week. The servers are fine now, but it always seems to be a problem for launch adopters. All in all, buy this game if you are a baseball fan older then 5.

I've had numerous MLB The Show games through the years, and this one is no different. No better or worse than the rest. But at this point I think I expect more, especially the supporting graphics. The players and stadiums for the most part look great, but the tired graphics of the fans in the stands is a little disappointing. It is time this developers make full use of new gen graphics and stop being lazy when it comes to those graphics. The gameplay itself is very good, and offers different levels of difficulty, so anyone can enjoy it.

MLB the show 15 to MLB the show 17 has proven to be such a huge difference. The game is much smoother, the animations less glitchy and a much better experience than a lot of the last MLB's. The special edition is great for memorabilia for one of the games best all-time ball players.

This game is a must have for all baseball lovers. I will highly recommend this to a friend.

This game is definitely a must have for any fan of baseball. Sony has consistently put out the best game imaginable. It's no wonder that none of the other company's have put out a baseball game to compete because there truly is no competition. The only reason I purchased a PS4.

Been supporting this game since 08 when I got my first PS3. It's amazing to see how far San Diego Studios has come with this. The absolute best baseball game you can buy. Amazing graphics, smooth gameplay, and the MLB Network theme feature makes things even more realistic.

I haven't played since the 2015 version, but everything just keeps improving. Either my mind has gone blank or the way you throw has changed and will take some getting used to. When I saw Griffey had signed on I had to get it for nostalgia purposes alone.

This continues on the previous MLB The Show games and is the best baseball game out there. The running mechanics are still not the best, but the hitting and fielding systems are both very good.

This is one game I HAVE to have each year. They made the game flow even better this year. Wish they had more old stadiums. Or a "build your own" stadium feature. If you enjoy baseball games there is NONE better! Now, go SWING FOR THE FENCES!

The Show has always been one of my faviort baseball franchise. Even more so today with a deep franchise mode and a great variety of game modes you really can play the baseball game you want the way you want to. Also amazing graphics.

The Show really does a great job of transferring the intracacies of the game to a playable and enjoyable video game. Unlike some sports games, the setting adjustments provide a personalized experience that doesn't leave you feeling like gameplay is either too difficult or too easy. If you're a fan of baseball, love the strategy of the game, and everything from a sac bunt to homerun, a set up pitch to strikeout, then you will enjoy this game.

Even with the server issues, this game is the best baseball game ever. From the batting stances to the different modes, this game is absolutely worth every penny. Add Griffey to a game and it takes it to another level. Very happy.

I buy the show every year on launch day. This year was no different. This game has sucked me in more than past years. Love road to the show and franchise modes. Retro mode was ok for about a game. Love the 4K HDR implementation.

If you LOVE baseball you wont be disappointed! Graphics are amazing and it's even better experience when you play againts someone else. RTTS mode is a lot better as u make dessicions that will affect how your career plays out.

This is an awesome game. This is my 3rd year buying MLB The Show. This is by far the best one. Love the realism of the ball when hit not going just straight anymore. Of any game sports, shooting, etc, this one is my favorite.

Every little detail put into this masterpiece is well thought out and there are a ton of new touches making it better than last year in every way. Still the greatest baseball video game on the planet and only got better.

I like the fact that in Franchise mode you can lock on a player and only play their plays (like Road to the Show). It makes Franchise games go faster. Awesome graphics & gameplay mae this the only baseball game to play.

I wait patiently every year for this game to come out, it's simplistic and basically always the same, but I love it. I end up playing this game from its release date until October every year, just a really good game!

In brief, it's another new year and another new year of MLB the Show! Another solid performer, the game play seems so more refined from previous versions. My only grip is Road To The Show. It's very boring with the commentary style story telling, just seems so outdated when in compared to the story telling in games such as NBA 2k games. However another solid performer, but not perfect. 8.0 out of 10

This franchise has been the best for years...but featuring Junior made it a must get for me! There are some fun game modes that make it interesting but if you want a great and realistic game simulation, this is it.
