This is by far the best baseball video game available. The realism is on point, and the gameplay is excellent.

If you love baseball, this is a no brainer. The Show is highly entertaining with spectacular visuals and incredibly detailed player models. You can customize your experience quickly to be a simple arcade style for quick play or a very detailed simulation where you can manage lineups, defensive shifts, drafting, and running a franchise. Creating a player is fun with tons of role playing options to take you from the Minors to the Show.

This game was very fun!! Comparing this to The Show 20, I think this one is easier to play and navigate. I love baseball and I always buy the new version comes out.

The 8 year old loves both the baseball and football games so he will be very happy with this game as he has wanted it for awhile and is also getting the Madden 2020 football game from Best buy as well. These are both Christmas gifts for him and this was on the list of things we wanted to get for him, Thanks to BestBuy he will have a very happy Christmas.

This is an incredible game! My son really wanted this game and it's only available on the PS4, so we decided that would be our gaming platform. The game lives up to its reputation. It's incredibly engaging and the game play is so fluid and natural, it's like watching a real game on TV. We picked up several PS4 games, but this is the go to game for us!

Love this series. Great graphics and some of the new features

I buy the show every year, and every year the small tweaks make it better. This year is no different, hitting is more approachable, the defensive player animations are way smoother and everything just feels smoother than years past. Road to the show has some cool new updates, the mini games to build perks and experience are a bit weird, but still enjoyable mostly. Presentation is great, graphics are great, some of the new modes (Moments, Road to October) are really fun and keep it fresh and brisk. Not a full overhaul but a great addition to the series and I think fans of the series will like it.

I didn't play '18 so I'll compare it to what I did last play. RTTS is making strides at a decent career mode but it's way behind 2K basketball. The archetype system is cool but I haven't seen any differences in your interactions with NPC's due to your dialogue choices. And they're too repetitive. Oh, and microtransactions... enough said.

One of the best sports games around.The best part of this is the career mode.You start off in the minors and work your way up and develop your own guy to maybe one day becoming a superstar.It has RPG and story elements to it that make it interesting and keep you wanting to improve your player without getting bored.

Overall after playing about 100+ games so far, this is probably the best iteration of MLB The Show in many years. There still is the obvious and frequently frustrating/annoying/maddening thing with the CPU taking control of the gameplay in any game, where human input doesn't matter for variable periods of time (see any of my past yearly reviews for an expanded comment about this- ALL sports videogames suffer from this, too), but so far, it seems to be a bit less than last year- and I have found that it can be corrected by simply saving the game at the point when you see you are no longer in control, and then restart it again at that point- this seems to "reset" the gameplay mechanism, and on restarting, you might get a fair shot at the gameplay results. The 9th inning CPU comeback mechanism is still alive and well, BTW. This is what I was referring to above, regarding outcomes for pitching, hitting, etc, by the human player. Also often referred to as gameplay "scripting", and it remains the single main issue, IMO, that makes this game less than a 5-star game. Only noticeable for those who play a lot of games, though.

I had every major console out except a PlayStation and I was so tired of not having a good baseball game. Well, I caved in and I literally bought a PS4 Pro to play this game. I am a die hard Xbox/PC player, but buying a PlayStation just for MLB The Show was worth it! Best sports game on any console in my opinion!

This is the greatest sports game ever made! I cant believe how much the gameplay improved from 18 to 19. Usually yearly sports titles see minor improvments every year but this year seems like they worked extra hard because every aspect of gameplay is improved and you can feel it on the field.

I skipped MLB 18 but am LOVING 19 so far! The changes (for me) in RTTS--where you select an archetype and you don't have to buy attribute points--make it a much better play than before. RTTS is the best sports playthrough available, and it's not even close (in my opinion).
