This game is so realistic it's amazing I play it all the time if you enjoy baseball I would definitely get this game for PS5

It's my favorite game to play. It's realistic. Plus it was pretty cool to see my created player in the "Road to the Show" play in high school and college. Got to love those metal bats!

MLB The Show 25 Is the series that never lets you down. With a plethora of modes to choose from, including Franchise Mode, which doubles as the traditional Season Mode, Road to the Show, Diamond Dynasty, as well as Classic Mode which plays like a retro style ball game that reminds me of the 16-bit era shows Sonys San Diego Studio is still the king of baseball games. Graphically it's stellar looking, as usual, though player models for some of the players are generic looking, but you can edit their appearance. Sadly, as usual, it's a minor upgrade. Audio is top notch featuring commentators that have been with The Show series since I could remember. Some of the audio can get pretty repetitive but the game remembers stats and events from previous games. Some of the audio even reverts to the speaker in the DualSense controller (if playing on the PS5 version). The only thing I wish was different was custom soundtracks that existed on the PS3 that allowed music stored on your hard drive to be used for custom walkout music for your favorite players. The jukebox has some interesting tracks, though some of the tracks use racial profanity and push 'Black Power' agenda type messages, but you can mute those tracks on the jukebox. Gameplay is diverse with lots of options, as is usually in the series. The Presentation is what other sports fans have always wanted, and pretty much what San Diego Studio has always done the best making you feel like you're watching an actual MLB game on TV. It really is simulated baseball. One of my gripes is the control scheme with the STRIDE function is odd where if you pull back the stick to swing and the ball goes outside the strike zone, the batter swings and you take the strike, so I decided to test the feature with a ball in the strike zone and the same movement in the strike zone, your batter doesnt swing (which by logic the batter should softly tap the ball) but it doesn't, you take the strike. Stupid... There's a lot of microtransactions in the game, which is lame rather than just unlocking cards and things through unlockables. You can collect cards, but everything is timed and to get cards you would've wanted but maybe don't understand the system, you have to use in game currency to buy cards which are rediculously expensive to get you to spend real money to buy in-game currency to bid on cards, unlike NHL 2001 and 2002 that had collectable cards in a much better system. With microtransactions ever so present in modern games, such a fun aspect in games collecting cards has turned into this. What a shame. Overall, MLB The Show is the way to go. It's what sports games should always be. Just wish the graphics engine was more modern rather than minor upgrades, and the microtransactions are annoying. Some of the controls are confusing and you have to learn how to just deal with some of the funky stuff. But, with a plethora of modes will keep you busy for some time. Just wish I would have known Franchise Mode was always like Season Mode. I tried to tell San Diego Studio it's still important to sports games, as is in every other sports game, but San Diego Studio left me high and dry. I had to figure it out the really hard way. Good game though from a good series.

This game is a baseball fans dream. It is realistic and the gameplay is fantastic. It has the look and feel of a real baseball game. The stadiums are authentic and add a great deal to the gameplay experience. This game is also a dream for fans who love simulation and examining statistical data.

I bought MLB The Show 25 on CD from Best Buy, and I’m super happy with it! The game runs smoothly, and the graphics look amazing—every swing, pitch, and play feels real. The new updates and features make it even better than last year’s version. The disc came in perfect condition, and Best Buy had it ready for pickup fast. If you’re a baseball fan, this is a must-have. Definitely worth it!

I enjoy the show every year. I wouldn't say this version is significantly better than 24, but I loved 24, so I love 25 as well. The graphics are slightly better than 24, but the game play is similar. So, if you enjoy 24, I'd imagine you'd enjoy 25. If you didn't care for 24, 25 probably won't be much better.

I bought this game as an early birthday present for my husband and he loves it. He has been a fan since 2011 and says The Show25 has the most realistic graphics. They are awesome!

I enjoy baseball and I purchase The Show every year. The graphics are fantastic and I will be playing this until February, 2026 when baseball returns!!
