Horrible service / product

They told me to go ahead and grab a new camera but wanted me to pay again for the protection plan for the new camera , even though I already paid for the protection plan and had the product for ONLY 5 MONTHS . I could understand if I’ve had it for 2 years plus but not the case . Don’t waste your money on the 2 year plan if it only covers one time of replacement because you’ll have to pay again and again when it breaks for the protecting plan.

Posted .Hello Miriam, thank you for reaching out. We apologize for any confusion. However, the warranty of the MobiCam and your Cloud Storage subscription plan are two totally different things. If you are having difficulty with the MobiCam and you need it replaced you will then need to cancel the current subscription plan and restart it with the new MobiCam. As each subscription is linked to the device information of each individual product. You should be refunded for the device that you have already paid for then you can resubscribe once you receive the new device.

It is important to note that the MobiCam's are paired to a single account on a single wifi network and NOT an individual device. Once a camera is paired on a wifi network, it does not need to be paired again. Any attempt to pair the camera, actually causes the camera to lose its permissions.
May you clarify what lights you are referring too? Due to your description, it sounds like you may be referring to the night visions sensors, their are red light that briefly light up around the camera when it turns on or when the camera is in night vision mode.
It sounds like there may be some confusion on how our MobiCam's operate.

Please ensure that your phone’s media volume is turned all the way up and you are placing your phone’s speaker right next to MobiCam’s mic which is located near the camera lens on the left. In Step 1 during the pairing process, please ensure you are entering your WiFi name and password correctly and including all characters, hyphens, etc.
MobiCam connects to a 2.4GHz wifi connection. It has become common practice for network providers to provide 2 frequencies; a 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz. Can we please double check to ensure that your mobile device is connected to a 2.4Ghz wifi connection? When the MobiCam App request your wireless network information, please ensure that you are also entering the credentials for the 2.4GHz wifi connection as well.
I recommend resetting your Mobicam unit before trying to send the sound wave again.
To reset your MobiCam you'll need a small pin or paper clip. Located on the right hand side in the groove of the MobiCam is a small hole labeled RESET. Use the pin or paper clip to push down into the small hole. You'll hear a loud “BEEP” to signify that the reset is complete. (For HDX, located on the back/bottom of MobiCam HDX is a small white button/reset hole. Press and Hold this button until you hear a loud "BEEP".) MobiCam should restart and speak "Welcome to MobiCam". If you do not hear "Welcome to MobiCam" unplug your MobiCam for 10-20 seconds before plugging it back in to complete the reset process.
Once the reset is complete, I would then advise going through the set up process once more, ensuring that you are connected to the 2.4GHz wifi connection.
**Please note: MobiCam is paired to your MobiCam ACCOUNT and not to your phone. Once your MobiCam is paired to your account, even if it displays as offline, you do not need to perform a hard reset (by pushing RESET button) or send the sound wave. Resetting MobiCam or re-sending the sound wave will result in MobiCam losing it’s pair to your account. Only perform a hard reset once trying all other troubleshooting tips first. Be sure to delete the camera from within the app if you perform a hard reset.

Cannot connect with the Wi-Fi and phone anymore

But the light on the camera at night was too bright, it was so annoying. So I stopped using it for a while because of this reason. A few days ago when I tried to use it again, it cannot connect to the Wi-Fi and my phone anymore even I tried to reset the camera and reinstall the app. Just bought it recently, but now it is a piece of garbage. Not recommended.

Firstly, ensure that you are pairing the device with a 2.4GHz WiFi network and that your mobile device is connected to that same network during the pairing process. If you have a dual-band router (2.4G and 5G), we recommend splitting the router. This is where each network is uniquely named and has its own password. For example, accessing the 2.4G network will require one name/password and accessing 5G will require something uniquely different.

Bad Quality

Usually when the device is moving without your control it has feature setting for "Motion Tracking" this can be turned off to prevent the device from continuing to operate with that feature. Motion Tracking allows the device to move in the direction where it detects motion. Keep in mind this could be a shadow, a fly, or something of that nature. You can change the direction of the MobiCam via the "Direction" option in the MOBI App, by moving the MobiCam where you want it manually, or by using your finger on the live stream screen to move the camera. If the MobiCam is powered up and displaying the live stream screen and you are unable to move it at all feel free to submit a ticket via our 24-hour Support Desk at https://mobiusa.com/pages/contact-us

Posted .Hello Tina, Thank you for reaching out to us. When pairing the MobiCam and choosing a location, we recommend selecting areas in the home with good reception. As the MobiCam loses reception/signal strength it will begin to lose audio and picture quality. In the MOBI App it will display the reception percentage. 90% and above confirms a good connection and as a result the MobiCam should display good audio and picture quality. As it falls under the 90% range the quality of audio and picture will decrease.
