Posted .Hello, Thank you for reaching out to us. We apologize that you experienced difficulty with the MobiCam. When the device is moving without you controlling it there is usually a feature set called "Motion Tracking". This basically tells the device to follow any motion that it sees in the room it is surveilling. When you want the device to stay fixated on a particular area of the room we recommend deactivating "Motion Tracking" and just activating motion detection.

To do so, use the pin or a small paperclip sticking it into the reset hole found on the top of the MobiCam to the right of the Micro SD slot. Trouble pairing

Posted .Hello Fabiola, thank you for reaching out. The MobiCam may be having trouble pairing to your WiFi due to the device ONLY being compatible with a 2.4GHz WiFi network. If you have a dual-band router that is both 2G and 5G we recommend splitting the router so that you can successfully pair the device and sustain a connection. Splitting the router consists of providing each network with its own "unique" SSID or WiFi name and password. With each network being "uniquely" named it will prevent any incompatible network from interfering with/emitting charges over the compatible network which results in the device not being able to connect to the network it needs. If you have access to your router settings you will be able to do this on your own. If you don't, you will need to contact your WiFi provider and they will be able to do this for you over the phone. Once the router is properly split, follow the steps provided in the MOBI App to pair your device, or you can contact our Support Team at (323) 904-3000 to request the dual-band compatible device. We are available Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. PST.

Doesn't work with new wifi routers

Mobi doesn't work with modern wifi routers (Doesn't work if it is wifi 6 or 5Ghz)

It sounds like you are referring to a Mobi Wi-Fi camera that you were using for about six months, but it stopped working after you upgraded your Wi-Fi router. You mentioned that the Mobi camera does not work with modern Wi-Fi routers that support Wi-Fi 6 or operate on a 5GHz frequency.However, if your router has 5G/6G etc.. it has to have a 2.4G network available as well. We recommend, activating the 2.4G network by changing the name and password for the 2.4G network to something uniquely different from what is currently established for the 5G/6G network. Once this is done, the MobICam will pair to the network it needs.

Viewable only within home wifi network

Posted .Hello Todd, thank you for reaching out. The MOBI App that controls your devices is how you are able to view the cameras from anywhere. The key is the MobiCams MUST be online/connected to the WiFi in order to operate as designed. If for any reason the MobiCam loses its connection it will prevent your ability to view the live stream. However, when the MobiCam is connected to the WiFi you can be anywhere and access the live stream via the MOBI App.

Weak camera

When the MobiCam is plugged into the power source it should consistently display a power indication light in the front of the unit. Assuming that "sleep mode" is when you discover the device is "offline", this occurs when the MobiCam has lost connection to the WiFi. This could be from a number of reasons. However, the most common is having a dual-band router that is both 2G and 5G and it isn't properly split. We recommend in this circumstance to ensure that each network is uniquely named and has its own password. This will ensure that the device can sync directly to the network it needs without interference from the incompatible network. Once the router is properly split you can simply follow the steps in the MOBI App to successfully pair the MobiCam.

Wasnt able to set up

We would be happy to hear what issues you experienced and troubleshoot them for you as well as offer recommendations that may make your user experience easier. For general information to consider, the MobiCam is only compatible with a 2.4 GHz WiFi network. Depending on the reception/strength of your network connection will determine the quality that the MobICam is able to operate under. For example, if the signal is strong you will usually get a good quality picture and audio output. When the signal is weak, you may display a poor picture quality and static in the audio. Also, if you have a dual-band router (2.4G and 5G) we recommend splitting the router to stabilize the connection of the device with the network that it needs. This where each network the router hosts has its own unique WiFi name and password. Doing this will prevent the incompatible network (5G) from emitting charge over the compatible network (2.4G) which interferes in the devices ability to connect.
