This is a really nice updated spin on the classic tri-fold iPad case that’s been around for years now. The materials are solid and offers full protection, with emphasis on the corners. My daughter loves the floral pattern. I was worried it would be TOO pink, but it’s not overwhelming. It looks modern and fun and the back is the solid peachy-pink color with a clear, transparent middle cutout. I’m not quite positive why the back isn’t a solid color all the way over. It might have looked better, but I guess this way you won’t forget what color iPad you have : ) The standout feature here is the inclusion of a slot for the Apple Pencil on the front, just below the screen. As anyone who has this generation Pencil knows, they don’t charge magnetically and you’re left to just keep it somewhere near by and not lose it. Again, this solution offered by this case is ideal for kids. Makes storing the Pencil super convenient and secure, giving protection for both devices with one case. All the folds work the way you expect them to and the materials are nice enough that I don’t worry about it losing any rigidity through normal usage anytime soon. One nitpick. There’s a magnetic little flap that allows you to close the case like a folio. It looks great when the case is closed, but when it’s open (which is obviously anytime you’re actually using your iPad), you sort of have to just figure out where you’re going to put that little flap. I’m not sure what the alternative would be short of just not including the flap. It’s not a dealbreaker, and as with most 3rd party case makers the value offered here compared to Apple’s own cases is night and day when it comes to price. This Modal is an easy recommend if you at all like the style and look of it. Nice to see good options are still being made for the base model iPad instead of just limiting them to the Mini, Air, and Pro models.

The Modal 10.2” iPad Folio Case it made to be flexible. The corner and side bumpers are made from TPU a flexible softer plastic material. The back of the folio has a clear plastic insert to allow the color of the iPad to show thru. The front cover has a magnetic lock to keep it closed. The cover also folds into a stand for a slight angle or if turned over an upright angle useful for a keyboard and typing. The iPad snaps into place with little effort. The box claims it will fit either the iPad 10.2” 7th, 8th, 9th generation or the iPad Air 10.5” 3rd generation. I used an iPad 7th generation. There was no loss of functionality while in the case. The power cord fits through the slot with plenty of clearance. Slot openings for the dual speakers does not muffle or distort the sound. The camera opening also allows for plenty of clearance for the camera. You can easily reach the buttons without restriction. I would also like to point out there is even a slot for your Apple Pencil inside this folio.

This was for my girlfriend and my notes are mostly from her point of view. The look is similar to the Modal Folio Case for the iPhone. If you get this for you iPad, I recommend the iPhone case as well. She was very excited about it because it looked very good and offered good protection for her iPad. She was even happier when she realized that it was clear and soft, but also very sturdy. Because, she loves watching videos, the first feature she noticed was that it folds to work as a stand. One common issue with some of these folio cases is that the Apple Pencil is either forgotten entirely or is an afterthought. Fortunately, Modal remembered to include a well thought storage for it. She pointed out that this case doesn’t obstruct ports when charging and that the buttons are also easily accessible. The magnetic cover is great and triggers the iPad on/off feature. Her only “disklike” is that she uses a keyboard every now and the and this folio doesn’t include or allows one that would work easily. Still, she liked it well enough to use it as is until she really needs to type something on a physical keyboard. My personal dislike is that the flap bothers me when the iPad is not open, but it doesn't bother her. Also, I don’t want to sound sexist, but it really looks as if it was designed for women only, but that’s not negative in any way.

This tablet cover does what it is suppose to do. The color is not as vibrant as I thought it would be. It is more of a cream color and I thought it would be shinier but yet and still, it is pretty. I noticed that it does not prop up as well as I though it would. It is very flimsy and every time you try to prop it up it just falls down. ‘Although it does not prop up well, it seems to be a nice secure fit. I put it in and it fits very snug and tight which makes it very reliable when you are traveling with your computer and it drops. It is thick and has the insulation that it need to protect your iPad. It has a clear window in the back to display any logo that you may want to display. It’s tough plastic window makes it easy to remove and reinstall your iPad. It has a Velcro tab to keep you computer secure when you close it to ensure that it will not fall out.The outer cover is made of plastic that you can easily wipe off. I would recommend this cover for your ipad. It is sturdy and durable.

This is a really cute ipad case. I love the colors. This case covers the front and the back of my ipad. The portion on the back has a clear cover. The ipad fits snuggly in the case and snaps in place. The top cover flips over to protect the front of the ipad, and easily folds back when being used. There is a small piece that folds over to secure the closure. This case is very light weight. It doesn’t add much bill to the ipad. Although this is a nice case, I don’t feel it gives a lot of protection against drops. It provides very light protection. Also, the back cover is plastic. If you are looking for protection against drops, this is not the case to have. This case is more of a light weight case for at home use. The casing that the ipad snaps into is a light weight plastic. I don’t feel it will hold up very long if you plan to take your iPad in and out if this case. This is not a very durable case. The cover can easily be wiped off with a damp cloth. The design on the front is very pretty, love the flowers. Overall, I’m pretty pleased with this case.
