Poor Performance in NYC
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It did poorly in Manhattan. Perhaps too powerful since it says it's rated for the "suburbs" on the box. The amplifier cable is too short AND it did not come with a plug for the outlet. It picked up less channels and the signal was unstable compared to leaf-type antenna.

Posted .We really do appreciate your feedback. There are many factors that could be causing interference with the TV signals, such as other electronics in your living space or where the towers are located could be on the opposite side of your home. Also, your home could be made of materials, such as brick or metal and these materials block TV signals. We are here to help if you would like us to perform a free signal analysis in your area to help you get the best TV signals at your location. I did not know I had these many channels!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really do not watch over-the-air programming due to my cheap antenna's reception. Typically, the image simply breaks up on most channels, or there are very few that are picked up. That issue has been pretty much been fixed with the exception of a couple of channels (more on that in a few). Installation is straight-forward. Connect the antenna to the RF input and, in my case, connect it to the amplifier and then to the TV. The amplifier has to be plugged to a power source. Unfortunately, no wall charger was included; only the USB cord. This is a huge misstep as you have to find or buy one. It is not expensive, which makes me wonder as to why it is not included (reduce cost?). Also, the USB, which is attached to the amp is rather short. That can be a big issue if the wall plate is not close by and then you are stuck with the antenna at that place. The good news is that the complete setup did pick up a lot of channels. In fact, I now have more than 3 times the amount I had before! Most come in rather clean and I did not have to place the antenna away from my TV or take it by the window (which I had to do with my old one). I still have issues with a couple of lower-frequency channels but these are notorious for being difficult. In the end, the Mohu Arc Pro works very well, and for the price, it is very much well worth it. I will recommend it. Just remember to get a USB wall charger if you get the amped version!
