It is in a North facing window and receives the Major networks very well, along with a few assorted other channels. For my purpose, it works exactly as I hoped, and I'm satisfied with it's performance.

cutting the cord

But after talking to the sales representative and telling him my needs he chose out the perfect antenna for me. This antenna gives me over 20 channels to choose from. Almost all the channels I desire. Thank you Best Buy for steering me in the right direction.

Dense trees, mountains, direct paths to broadcasting stations all play a huge role in this. My recommendation is get the Mohu brand and the longest range you can afford. You’ll never regret getting MORE stations.
