I live in East Lansing and it is really hard to get a lot of channels in this area. Even with the antenna in the window and as high as I can put it, I cannot get more than 8 channels, and not all the local channels.

There are many factors that can cause TV signal interference, like terrain and obstacles between your home and the TV tower which is most likely why you are not receiving certain channels. Also, you may not need an amplified antenna. Sometimes over-amplification can occur if you are in a shorter distance from the towers and could very well make your signal reception worse. It is also important to remember to place the antenna as high as possible to achieve the best signals, and re-scan for channels each time the antenna is moved to a different location. Great alternative for expensive cable.

His local stations come in better than when he had crappy Xfinity cable. HIGHLY recommend this for those not wanting to pay for cable.

Posted .Hi Elle! Please be sure when you connect a new antenna to your TV, you must rescan the TV for channels using your remote. Your TV tuners lock in on the channels from your previous antenna and once you disconnect the cable, some signal loss will be seen.
