Doesn’t pickup all the channels in range.

It only picked about half of the channels within range. The channels it did receive were good quality but with the location we were in we should have been able to pick up at least all of the network broadcasts. Unfortunately not so with this antenna.

Posted .Greetings! We apologize you have not had a great experience with our Mohu Gateway Plus Amplified HDTV Antenna. If you are in a more urban area, or at a closer distance to the broadcast towers, there is a good chance you do not need an amplifier. Over-amplification can occur within a shorter distance to the towers and could very well make your reception worse. Please try removing the amplifier from new antenna and re-scanning for channels to see if this helps. I’m around 30 miles from the stations and it picks them up but I can only get 3 green lights. I did get some stations that are in a different direction so I guess that works okay as well. Seems high on price.

There are so many variables that can impact reception that I don’t think there’s one perfect antenna. Try a couple of different ones until you find the right one.

In most cases an amplifier isn’t necessary unless TV signals in your area are low power, or you have longer cable runs to multiple TVs. Considering the Leaf Amplified has an external amplifier that can be turned off, we suggest you continue to use this antenna and maybe try running a channel scan without the amp to see if your number of channels improve.
