Best Buy’s short return window has me stuck with it for now, so I guess I just won’t shop at Best Buy anymore.

If you live close to the broadcast towers, (in the middle of a metro area), an amplified antenna could cause interference as you are over tuning the tuner in the TV. I live 30+ miles from the city and where I used to get only two channels, this opened up all but one channel. Quite happy with this item.

I even tried it on my second tv and it did the same thing as my old antenna.

It turned out to be a great buy and I am able to get most of the local channels which is all I need.

Worsst Indoor Antenna I Have Ever Bought

This was the most expensive and it is the worst. In fact, it is so bad that I had to stop using it and went back to a cheap one that was purchased many years ago and it works flawlessly. I bought this one, hoping that it would provide more channels. It didn't. In fact, on a good day, I only 5 channels and 3 of them were PBS stations. I tried moving it to different locations and even bought a new coax cable and connector, thinking that might be the problem. Nothing helped. Unfortunately, I kept it too long and can no longer return it. My only hope is that I can sell it to someone and get some of my money back, that way.

If not, please call us and we will be happy to help make this right. It may be something simple like not needing an amplified antenna depending on your distance to the broadcast towers. There are so many variables that can impact reception that I don’t think there’s one perfect antenna. Try a couple of different ones until you find the right one.

In most cases an amplifier isn’t necessary unless TV signals in your area are low power, or you have longer cable runs to multiple TVs. Considering the Leaf Amplified has an external amplifier that can be turned off, we suggest you continue to use this antenna and maybe try running a channel scan without the amp to see if your number of channels improve.
