This unit worked to get local channels after I stopped my cable box in a spare room. Plus why pay more in a room that only has usage for an hour or two in the early morning.

I havent found a spot that I can get all channels and leave the unit in that spot. I get these channels when over here but if I want those channels I have to move it over there which sucks. Had it taped to a window and it didnt work good. Now i have it on french doors I have to have half way open to get signal. Should have tried rabbit ears but im stuck with this since I didn't return it in time.

Hi there! We appreciate your feedback and are very sorry you have not had a good experience with our Mohu Leaf 50 antenna. There are many factors that could be causing interference with the TV signals, such as other electronics in your living space or heavy foliage in the area. We always recommend you place the antenna as high as possible, as trees and buildings can block some TV signals. You may want to scan for channels without the included amplifier if you have not already done so to see if that may help. Sometimes over-amplification can occur if you are using an amp too close to the broadcast towers. If you would like more assistance on ways to improve your reception, just give us a call at 877-825-5572. We are available 7 days a week to help. Thank you for your business! Mohu

First let me say that I refuse to pay those high cable prices and internet modem and router prices. That being said, I did away with the cable that increased in price every year and bought my own modem, router, antenna and digital box. I am not much of a tv person and when I do watch tv, I usually watch Netflix or Prime. My father recently moved in with me and he watches tv from dusk to dawn. He sits there constantly moving the antenna around only to make the picture worse. It was either subscribe to cable or get a better antenna. I purchased this antenna based off of the reviews and price. Immediately after purchasing, I watched a show on tv about how online reviews are mostly bogus. I was concerned and was afraid that it was going to have to go back in the box and back to Best Buy and that I would have to be calling my local cable company and give them all of my money. I got it home, installation was easy, and had it search for channels in my area. It found 36 channels of which only 1 or 2 get the pixelated picture. The picture is more crisp and clear than before and we now have local channels we did not have before. I am not one to tout a product as most do not meet my expectations although this one is a great buy. I am very happy with the picture and amount of channels and I can hide it out of the way to where you do not know it's there. I believe most, depending on where they are, will not be disappointed with this product. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is this is day 1 with the antenna. I will update at a later date.

Having challenges getting local channels, particularly, channel 13 WJZ TV. Smh (shaking my head). Realizing these kind of antennas does not appear to work good with Smart TV's. Only channel I can access is NBC. I can sure use some technical assistance.

I live in Morgan Hill, CA, right in the valley, and only had medium success with this indoor antenna. Though I was able to receive close to 50 multiplexed channels at times, the signal was not strong enough for the channels to stay on. It would be a constant come and go, except for channels that came from relatively close-by towers. This antenna is very directional, as moving it even just by an inch would have an impact on channel quality. I don't believe the 50-mile radius coverage is true. It's probably closer to 30 miles. I absolutely love the design of this antenna. You can install it on a window or a wall. Recommendation: Try it out to see if it works for your situation. If it doesn't, try the ClearStream 4V antenna which I ended up getting. BestBuy allowed me to return my Mohu antenna for the Antennas Direct - ClearStream 4V antenna, which I installed in the garage for much improved TV reception. The signals are stronger with the ClearStream 4V antenna.

This antenna works great. It comes with velcro to attach it to your window or wall. We bought it to enhance our 65'' 4K Smart TV and we're very happy with it. It pulls in stations from Southern Ontario, Canada, since we're near the border. In addition to those channels, we also have about 50 locals (we get lots of UHF channels that have ''piggy back'' channels, too) that showed up when we did the first initial scan to find channels. Years ago we had a roof antenna, but after some bad weather it was inoperable. This antenna is flat and is mounted on the inside door of our sliding patio door, so even when the door is opened all the way, it doesn't interfere with the operation of the door because of its flat design. It's great! Works great, looks great, and is definitely worth the price! Plug it in, stick it on the wall or window, plug in the power source, and you've got full HD channels being broadcast directly to your TV without needing an account with the cable company. If you're on the fence about whether or not to buy an antenna, look no further, this is the one to buy.

Since I live in the suburbs in an apartment outside Houston, I decided to go for an amplified 50 mile range tv antenna. I only had to adjust the placement twice to receive all 4 basic channels (abc, nbc, cbs, fox) plus many others-over 60 in total. There are also subchannels. It was very easy for one person to install and then I had to search for channels under my tv settings to receive them. I do not have a cable subscription and SlingTV was a very poor substitute. I do use Hulu, Netflix, and Amazon through my xbox and between those plus the antenna, I do not feel I miss out on anything important. I finally bit the bullet and purchased this due to missing the local and national news and sometimes just having the TV on in the background (which I would not do with my xbox) for low noise. Channels that broadcast in HD look great and I have very little to no interruption. No static either. It's very inconspicuous and for a one time fee to get free cable is an opportunity I wish I took earlier. Great investment.

The Mohu is one of the top rated antennas on the market and for good reason. The installation is super easy and the signal is powerful. I am receiving 37 Over The Air stations. Another good reason to buy the Mohu is that it is manufactured in the USA by an American company in Raleigh, NC. The signal I am getting is strong and contains all the digital information about the current channel I have selected. To access this, simply press the info or detail button on your remote and a box of information will appear on the screen. The free digital reception OTA (over the air) looks much better than what is received via cable or satellite. One of the reasons for this is that the OTA signal is not compressed or degraded like cable or satellite. And you receive High Definition wherever it is available. In 2005 the Federal Government mandated that all television broadcast companies would have to cease broadcasting analog signals and switch to digital broadcasting by June 12, 2009. The cable companies and the satellite companies jumped on this and convinced many of their customers that they would need to upgrade their service. This was misleading smoke and mirrors since one of the conditions of the federal mandate was that HD and Digital TV would be made available and free to everyone receiving Over the Air signals. So for less than the cost of one month of subscriber TV you can purchase an antenna that will give you digital broadcast TV. Pretty much everything else is available via streaming, including HBO and Showtime and for a fraction of the cost. Go MOHU and pull the plug on the cable or satellite company, buy a streaming device like a Roku, Apple TV or Smart TV and save a bundle of money.

I purchased this antenna after reading lots of reviews. I got the item home and set it up immediately. Right out of the box I got more than 20 stations. With varied placements I was able to get it to over 34. That was great! I got stations from MA and RI, but it appears the maximum range or this antenna is about 30 miles since there are additional stations within a 50 mile radius that are not detected. the stations that come in are very strong and clear. However, I really purchased this antenna for my place in the White Mountains of NH, since I do not have cable there. I brought it up north the next week and set it up. Out of the box I got no stations. This is despite the fact there are 3 network affiliates within 30 miles. I finally got one station by placing the antenna on the seat of my rocking chair in the middle of the room. Any movement at all and the station was lost. No other placement in the house yielded any stations. I do not know if it was the surrounding mountains, but if I purchased the antenna solely for the NH house, I would have returned it. I also purchased two other antennas as Walmart to test. These were made by GE. One was amplified and one was not. These were not able to detect any channels in either home. Thus, this antenna really out performed the others in the suburbs of Boston. I will keep this antenna for my primary home south of Boston as I will be disconnecting the TV's in my bedroom and office from cable and savings some money each month. However, I am still without any tv in NH.

Purchased this for a 2nd home; tying to save some money since we would only be there periodically. The installation was very easy and we got several channels. However, many of the channels were non-english. Of course there is no guide, so we had to hunt around to find the stations we like (local channels, ABC, NBC, etc.). The reception seemed fairly good most of the time, but there would be times when the picture would freeze as if the signal was interrupted, but it would come back in a few seconds. Overall, it did the job, but we are so addicted to Direct TV, we decided to go ahead and order Direct TV's basic service. Anyone who would like to purchase a slightly used antenna, give me a shout.

I purchased another of these about 7 years ago when I originally discontinued cable service and it has performed very well. Recently I purchased a second SmartTV and have been using it with network streaming and remote access to my TiVo for playing back recordings made on the other TV as well as using it as a bridge to access live OTA channels from the TiVo. I decided recently that there would be times when it would be better to use second TV's OTA tuner directly, so I needed a second antenna, and so went with the one that works so well on the other TV. I think it tuned in 58 channels before I blocked several of the useless ones that I would never watch. This TV is higher resolution than the other one and the picture quality with this antenna is great. I power the antenna of an USB port on the TV and run the cabling through the same path as the HDMI cable to the TiVo mini and the power cord (the TV is wall mounted on an adjustable mount). Installed easily and works great.

We had just moved north of Raleigh, NC from Cary, NC and misplaced our old RCA rabbit ears. The old antenna required constant repositioning when channels were changed, AND could not receive PBS, which we really missed. NOTE: Hardly anyone in Raleigh gets WUNC because it is in Chapel Hill and too far away for most all indoor antennas and terrain is a problem. Finally decided to do research for a better indoor antenna and this one looked pretty good. I had to try many different locations before settling on a high place on a window. Best spot, but still no PBS when manually changing channels. RESCANNED CHANNELS (this is very, very important), and PBS (almost exactly 40 miles away and VHF channel 4) and all other available local OTA channels come in looking perfect with no static or dropout.

I originally had the Clearstream 4V indoor/outdoor HD antenna and just could not get it to work well (no signal, audio and picture freezes, etc.). After some research I decided to give this product a chance and it works so much better than the big bulky Clearstream. I live right in the middle of two major cities so its hard to receive a signal in the first place, but this antenna has picked up all the local channels flawlessly with a crisp, clear HD picture. Highly recommend this product, it also has a website you can visit to check your broadcast signal for your zip code before you buy it. Design is sleek and minimal as well and I would say try this antenna first before any other ones on the market.

I did not feel like purchasing cable for $30 a month with taxes and fess, so I purchased this after reviewing products online and speaking with the store representative. I am able to get most of the basic channels. If I want the ones that do not come through, I can generally move the antenna and pick up another channel or two. I live near an air force base so everytime the jets fly overhead I lose signal and then it comes right back. When the weather is rainy or windy, there is also interference. However, this is by far the best antenna I have tried. My closest signal is about 35 miles away. This is a 50 mile radius antenna. I found the best signal on my ceiling near a window :)

Easy to setup. Very happy. My TV is in the middle of the room (not near a window which I know is ideal). I tried the rabbit ears antenna and they worked pretty good, but this is much better and gets more stations. Station quality is very good, but sometimes will lose pixels depending on station signal strenght. To get perfect, I would need cable or DirectTV, but I am very happy and don't need to pay large cable bill every month. Glad I purchased it.
