Posted .Hi there! Thank you for your honest review of our Mohu Vibe Amplified HDTV Antenna. Depending on your distance from the nearest towers, you may want to run a channel scan without the included amplifier. Over-amplification can occur if you are trying to use an amp too close to the broadcast towers and could very well make your reception worse. We also have a free app called Antenna Point you can download to your iOS or Android phone. Once you download, the app will identify your location. You will see the towers in the surrounding area, so you aim the antenna in the right direction to pick up the TV signals. If these tips do not help, please give our tech support team a call at 877-825-5572 and they will perform a FREE signal analysis of your location, this will better assist them in pinpointing what the problem may be. Especially at night. No way is 50 miles a possibility unless a clear view downhill.

Posted .We recommend moving the antenna up higher on the wall or in a window. If you need a longer coaxial cable, you will need a coaxial coupler to attach additional coaxial cable. When you move the antenna, please remember to rescan your TV for channels at every location to place the antenna. With indoor antennas you need to try different locations in a room because there are other electronics that can cause signal interference. Posted .Hello from Mohu! You may be receiving all the available channels in your area which means the Vibe performed just as it should. When you install a new antenna to your TV, you must scan your TV for channels because the TV tuner is locked to the frequencies the old antenna pulled in. Sometimes if you are too close to the towers, the amplifier can over tune the TV signals and cause unnecessary interference. It is also important to remember to place the antenna as high as possible to achieve the best signal reception, and re-scan for channels each time the antenna is moved to a different location. Not the result I had hoped to get but good product
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Although it was able to find approximately 12 channels unamplified in amplified mode it rescanned to 32 total channels. Although most not a problem on clarity and connection 3 of the top 5 channels I use do not stay sharp and drop signals. This is not as much of a reason to cut the cord as I expected. I have a Vizio smart TV and Roku as well. Which were my plan if I could get local news in real time.
