By adding a Molekule Air Mini+ to our main living space, we’ve been able to reduce the amount of pet dander floating around in the air along with reducing pollen and pollutants. The Mini+ has a sleek neutral colored design that easily blends in to our home decor. The device itself connects to WiFi and is controlled from an exceptionally user friendly app on my phone that keeps me updated on our home’s air quality. I can adjust the air purification strength as needed to improve the air after having the windows open, blowing out candles, (or burning something on the stove. EEK!). The fur babies and I are both breathing easier by having the Molekule Air Mini+ around.

This is my first time owning an air purifier unit. I decided to get one because I’m tired of smelling the cat’s litter box, which happens to be located in my bedroom. I’ve lived with the smell for years and finally decided to try one out. So far, this purifier is making a difference. The room doesn’t smell anymore and there’s less dust in the air. The difference is noticeable. This unit has many pros and a few cons. The largest pro in my opinion is this particular model, the Air Mini+, has the ability to detect the amount of particles in the air and will adjust it’s filtration strength and fan speed based on the amount of pollutants in the room. I set up the air purifier between the litter box and my bed and every time the cats go restroom and kick up a lot of liter and dust, the unit detects it and increases its fan speed to suck more of the dirty air into the unit. There is a 4-level indicator scale, represented in different colors by an LED light on top of the unit, that shows you how much debris is in the air. When the air is clear/clean, the LED is green; when it detects a higher level of particles, it’s yellow, and so on. For the most part it runs at the lowest speed (green) but will adjust itself and change the different levels when necessary. For example, I was cooking in the kitchen and setoff a lot of smoke from cooking greasy food, and once that smoke made it’s way into the bedroom, the unit went into overdrive. I think this was the only time it may have reached the highest/dirtiest level. Of course, it was running close to full speed, but it did adjust itself back down when the air was cleaner. In terms of how much noise this unit makes, it’s like a low hum when it’s at its lowest speed. It really doesn’t get too noisy, in my opinion, until it reaches level 3. However, what’s noisy for me may be okay for you, and vice-versa. Unfortunately, I didn’t have an easy time connecting the unit to my home Wi-Fi. The physical setup was easy, but the unit failed to flash the while Wi-Fi indictor light on top of the unit after plugging it in. According to the instructions, once the while light begins flashing, you can begin the pairing process within the Molekule app. I was never able to follow the standard steps in the instruction manual. It took a lot of syncing attempts, along with power cycling the air purifier unit (as suggested by the app) to finally get a successful sync. Hopefully, this process can be improved either through an update to the app or unit in future releases. This is the main reason why this product lost a star. I was a little disappointed on how difficult it was to add the unit to my network and get the app to recognize and connect to the filter. However, once everything was connected, the app has been reliable, and it’s never lost communication with the unit. I like how I can adjust the fan speed from my phone, or simply switch it to Auto Protect mode (particle sensor). Another con is the inability to turn off the color indicator light that sits at the top of the unit. This is the same light that changes color when the unit detects a change in air quality. The light does stop glowing five or so seconds after it changes color, but it turns on every time it changes color. This happens throughout the night and I can see how this can become an issue for some. Fortunately, this doesn’t bother me or my wife. It would also be useful if the app displayed a history of when the unit changed cleaning levels. This is less of a con and more of a wish-list item, but it would be nice to know the different times the unit detected bad air quality and when and how long it adjusted itself to filter the air in those instances. Regarding the cost of this unit. It seems to be slightly higher than comparable products. My guess is due to the type of technology utilized within this unit. While most air purifiers use HEPA filters, this unit uses a PECO filter (photo electro chemical oxidation). Essentially, in addition to a mechanical filter, the unit combines UV lighting to breakdown pollutants at a molecular level. The PECO filter itself is the company’s proprietary technology, but it’s based on a technology known as PCO (photocatalytic oxidation), which has been in use for decades to clean contaminated air and water. Even though this special filtration wasn’t the primary reason I choose this unit, it may be important to individuals looking to have a higher level of filtration, and therefore cleaner air circulating inside their home. But keep in mind, each model is rated for a specific square footage. This particular unit (Air Mini+) is rated for a room no larger than 250 square feet. In my case, this was the perfect size for my master bedroom. Overall, I’m happy with this unit. And I’m glad I decided to finally get an air purifier for my room.

    WOW Very Impressed

Wow I have always been very skeptical about this type of thing like air purifier thinking they were a gimmick, guess what I was wrong. I have been using this Air Mini+ for the past few days and honestly I have been amazed. I sleep with a ceiling fan on all night plus the AC, I usually wake up a little stuffy in the morning. Somehow after I start using this Air Mini+ I have been able to sleep better and I wake up normal, not stuffy anymore. I am very impressed and after using this thing has changed my perception completely about air purifiers. The item arrived in a nice brown box with white writings on the outside which honestly looks pretty nice. In the box you have the Molekule Air Mini+, Filer, carrying case, manual and instructions. The Item itself looks sleek and very modern and because of it’s small form factor you can actually put it on a night table and would not look bad at all. This specific one is very light and easy to carry due to the attached leather handle. On the top surface the center is an actual touch sensitive button, there you can adjust the speed and reset the device. Also on the top surface you have several display items such as speed level, WIFI icon, Filer status and the active mode. To make the most out of this Air purifier you will need to pair it with the Molekule app, which took me several tries to get it to pair. Once you have it paired with the app you can control your device even away from home. The app will tell you how bad the particles levels are in the air in 4 different levels, Good, Moderate, Bad and Very Bad, you can also adjust the speed and put the device on standby. In my situation my bedroom was moderate after 2 days continuously running it changed to Good. If the air quality has changed in the room the device itself would notify you by turning the center light to the particle level color. In the lower fan speed setting this device is very quiet and hardly noticeable, but at higher speed specially at highest is loud. I have kept this either in active mode that automatically adjusts the speed or level 1 and the noise level has been minimal. If you pay good attention in the dark you will notice the subtle purple light, that light is what helps to kill bacteria. Replacing the filter is also a breeze, just turn the cover counter clockwise, lift and replace your filter. Another thing I really liked about it is the cable management. You can coil the cable in the bottom section of the device and just use what you need very clever. Overall I am very impressed with this Air Purifier and honestly I don't think I would ever stop using it from now on, you will notice the difference in the air just after letting it run for a few minutes. This thing not only looks pretty and modern but it also does what it claims to do from my experience.

This air purifier is amazing. My wife and I have loved getting to use it in our nursery and know that the air in there is clean. It’s very portable and has a nice, low profile. So it’s not going to take up much of the room. But the quality is top notch. It’s also nice being able to use the app to see what the air purifier is doing, although you can control everything from the top of the device.

Pros: * Attractive and minimalist design * Portable with a nice vegan leather carry strap * Simple and hidden controls and displays * Wifi connectivity to an easy app * Quiet under normal circumstances * Convenient filter replacement subscription Cons: * Slightly pricey replacement filters My Review: An air cleaning device is something you’ll probably keep out in the open. As such, it would be best if it’s attractive to look at and not too annoyingly loud. The Molekule Air Mini+ meets both of those needs. Not only is it nearly inaudible under normal circumstances, but its minimal aesthetic makes it both blend in to the room and look nice while doing so. The packaging is typically your first experience with the product even before setting it up. Normally, you just unbox the contents and discard the package with no further thought. In this case, the packaging design and materials set up a great expectation for what’s to come. Even the power plug has a neat box covering the end to inform you to keep the unit plugged in and on all the time. Setup was easy enough. You basically just twist and lift the outer shell, then remove the filter from its bag and put the shell back on. Even getting the unit up on WiFi was simple. This unit’s big brother has a nice full color screen, but even though this model is less expensive, it still has a simple and useful display and control on top. There are icons that light up to inform you of the unit’s operating mode (automatic or the fan speed) and filter status. These icons disappear after a few moments to leave a clean and attractive appearance. There is a single button that shows the icons again and can also be used to change the fan speed/mode or turn the unit on or off. The app is simple and attractive, too. It’s nice to see that a product’s holistic design was considered; from the packaging to the setup to the use. Well done! To ensure you always have a fresh filter when its time to replace the one in use, there is an optional subscription program. They send you filters before you need them so you don’t have to worry. My only complaint is that the filters are a tad pricey… currently about $75 each and they estimate you’ll need 2 per year. That’s about $150 a year in filters that you need to consider; although other high-end brands of air filtration systems are about the same. Overall, this unit completely fulfills its promise of providing clean air with an attractive and easy to use design.

My son has Environmental Allergies. Meaning he’s allergic to anything from dust, detergent, ants, grass, and so much more. He is required to have an EpiPen! This year I made the investment of getting a MOLEKULE air purifier for his room! Considering he has all his Transformers and they collect dust even though he’s very clean with his room. BEST DECISION I’VE MADE THIS YEAR!! He breathe so much better. No stuffy nose, and no allergy flares! So I definitely recommend this. If you are on the fence please ask me any questions. I know it’s pricey but like I said it was an investment in my son health!!!

My mom usually coughs a lot during pre-winter month. After I put molekule mini plus in her room, last night I didn’t hear her coughing as much. I can say her coughing both day and night time reduced about 70%. Wish I purchased it sooner.

First impression: from packaging to hardware and its application all does give nice presentation of thoguhtful design behind. Air Mini + is compact and minimalist look and feel , not heavy but not very light either, has nice leather handle to ease mobility, and nicely placed cord management spot. Unpacking: it is simple and straightforward. As open the box, all need to do is open the purifier and remove plastic bag of the filter, close then plug, and turn on. Setting: It takes one or two stage depending on point of view. If don’t want to use the application, it ends once plug in. If want to use the application, then it takes additional steps that is common on connected devices. These are download Molecule application, setup account and login to setup WiFi to connect purifier to the network and application. Functionality: from purifier at core, it has 5 levels + Auto Mode that without application can be controlled from the hardware itself. These are on the top side, among indicators include connection to WiFi, indicators for each level, and Power On/Off. With the application, it has nice UI and can tell the level, status of mode, change level, then basic information of device and user account. Performance: from the usage for almost a week, in auto protect mode, it has been always in level 1 which from the application can see as Mode status Good, and this has been consistent during the week. From this I can’t tell if the air was good at the spot of the home or if it really was purifying. Then compared to any feeling of breathing by person with high sensibility to breathing and air and allergy, was told didn’t feel any change between before the purifier and after. From my own experience couldn’t tell big difference but when it was very close, let say at distance of my arm, some moment could feel bit of difference. Using with Application: it is simple and straight. Any change made from the application the device respond immediately (this result will depend on the latency of WiFI and Internet where being connected). What looks like missed: 1. It is bit noisy. At level 1 that meant to be most silent mode, for sensible person can’t use it during sleeping and put next to the bed. 2. It has one particulate matter sensor that is right next cord placement spot. So it would be capturing direction to the wall unless change the position to display the cord which seems not practical. It seems not optimal as is not toward front. 3. The cord doesn’t have auto mode to retract at one touch. 4. Setting up Wifi. It require to create user and account first in order to connect it to WiFI. Considering it is for home, it should have implemented such that from the very beginning application can recognize the device from the network. Can look at how does Sonos devices for setup. 5. Application features: it is simple but miss basic control like schedule, power on/off, activate upon detection of movement and inactivate otherwise. 6. Leather Handle, although visually looks good, doesn’t feel practical for purpose of movement. It need to manually turn each time lift and leave. (Couldn’t matter the position of handle but does bit create blocking view). 7. Filter: can’t tell how often need to be replaced nor can’t find in the application indicator of how much been used or left. Attached compilation of photos consist of unpacking, setting filter, application screenshot with mode status, manual. Although I am not technically knowldedgeable of the science, as the product is for the mass consumer usage and couldn't tell big difference from short time use, I would say it is good but not that extraordinary for the price point.

This product is so amazing!!! This is something every immunocompromised or persons with allergies should own. So when I say the air “feel” cleaner, what does that mean? It means it smells free of all the pollutants in it that were making you feel sick, that triggered a sneeze, that smelled off, etc. I want one for every room of my house. Slowly but surely. So first you push down and turn like you would a pill bottle, take off lid and remove the plastic from the filter, replace filter and twist the cover back on, plug in and all the function lights turn on like magic. It’s very sensitive to touch so you don’t have to push, just touch to change the speed which surprisingly has 5. Level 4 and 5, especially 5 are loud and level 5 sounds like a jet plane and you won’t be able to hear tv, music or anything else without interference. My opinion on speed 4 and 5 are that they are more for when you leave the house, have dusted, painted or aren’t going to be in the room for a while and so you’d put it on level 4 or 5, shut the door and let it do its job. At least that’s what I did and so it works for me. Level 1-3 are quiet and tolerable. My kids thought it was a mini air conditioner because of the cool air it emits and the device hasn’t gotten hot, nor warm to touch which tells me it was engineered with 24 hr use in mind. Been running it 24hrs/day and it’s become one of the family. At first I was reluctant to paint my very allergic kid’s room because of off-gassing but since it filters chemicals like toluene (found in paint), I’ll paint his room and run the Molekule mini and have him sleep elsewhere for a week or two. So this little guy packs a punch and our family loves it so far.

    Quality Purifier

With allergy season upon us and experiencing our current situation with COVID, many are looking for quality purifiers. I was happy to get the chance to test out the Molekule Air Mini+. This type of purifier states it can indicate mold, bacteria, allergens, and viruses. A little bit about myself. I have had allergies/asthma for a long time. While I can not make medical recommendations, this review is based on the effect it had with me. The device comes with a book of instructions to help set up your Molekule Mini plus. You have to untwist it to remove the plastic wrapping and place the filter on securely. I like that the cord has a slot that you can secure it in. Once the purifier is set up, you need to download the app. There are three different ways the purifier is activated. The first way is by tapping the air purifier at the top and selecting the different fan setting preferences, the second is by allowing the purifier to be in activated mode for when it senses the air needs to cleanse impurities, and the 3rd option is through your device. There are 5 settings for the fan. The indicator light that is in a circle changes colors to let you know the air quality of the room. Upon setting the device up was pleased to see that the particle matter levels in the house indicated green which means that the air quality was good. The areas that I placed the Molekule Mini plus that I currently do not have purifiers in, the particle matter indicated yellow (which stands for moderate air quality). After the purifier was put to work, the air quality began to change and the particle matters level indicator turned green. The product recommends sleeping with the purifier near you overnight. PROS: 1) Purifier switches on automatically when it detects the air quality has changed due to the sensor that is built-in. This helps in regulating the fan speed for the air purification process. 2) Within one day, I could tell the difference in the air quality in the room. It keeps the air clean and fresh. 3) I woke up breathing better than usual. Could tell the allergens in the room was reduced. 4) Ability to use my cellphone to check on the device from anywhere in the house. Really cool. 5) To place the device on Auto-Protect is nice from your device or by tapping the purifier itself. 6) Ability to add more than one device. 7) Indicator lights to help you know when to change your filter and if the filter your replacing the purifier with is not an authentic one. CONS: 8) The filter needs to be changed approximately every 6 months. For the price point wish it was yearly. However, most standard purifiers have to be changed about every 3 months. So for me more of a dream preference.

This air filter is by far one of the most expensive filters I’ve gotten. It is now probably one of the worse rich purchase I’ve made, and returned it within days. It’s built very nice I guess, but the app was terrible. Even if the app did work the data it gives you is a “color” with nothing behind it. No numbers no nothing. So if your looking for an air filter that actually tells you what’s happening, I would not recommend molekule. As well took hours to download an update and then crashed

Wow! I never thought there could be so much in room disrupting our breathing pattern. Clearly, I was wrong. Not only was it pretty easy to set up(anywhere) but it has cleared the air so much that I have been told that I no longer snore. The air feels fresher. It monitors everything and goes to work quickly to rectify the issue. You can control with your phone and its designed to run 24/7. It's great bedrooms actually, it's great for any basic 200 sq ft room with standard ceilings. Not to mention, it just looks good while being super quiet. It's a must have for people with respiratory issues. But great to have either way.

HIGH END LUXURY AIR PURIFIER – But, does it work?

HIGH END LUXURY AIR PURIFIER – But, does it work? REVIEW: Molekule Air Mini+ Best Buy Tech Insider Network SUMMARY: Clearly, this is a very high end unit, with top notch packaging and build quality. I had some minor setup problems (more later), but overall, it is easy to use / operate. Here is my problem. How do I know it is actually doing anything? Sure it lights up. Sure a fan spins. I have no objective way to tell if it is working. If it is destroying invisible particles and blasting them to smithereens, and then turning them back into basic elements, I can’t tell. It is not like a bug zapper where there are little bug corpses all over the place. I don’t have an independent VOC [Volatile Organic Compounds] sensor to tell me if harmful particles are being reduced. So, I can 100% recommend this, that it is well built, and the lights turn on, and the fans spin. There are lots of technical reports on their website that show its effectiveness. CAUTION: Do be aware you are in effect signing up for a “filter subscription service” so that in addition to the initial cost, you must buy proprietary filters to keep it running. This is in the range of $100 / year. As near as I can tell the unit starts a countdown timer when it is running. It is unclear if this is based on calendar days or operational hours. The manuals seem to indicate calendar days (see pics). So, unless you sign up to get filters in 6 months you have an expensive fan. I am not saying this is a negative. Just that you should be aware (I was not) UNBOXING: (see picture) INITIAL IMPRESSIONS: The packaging is high end and frustration free. Everything is nicely wrapped in fabric. There is a “leather like” carrying handle to help move this from place to place. INITIAL SETUP / TIPS: For such a high end unit, I would have expected better quality control with respect to documentation. Repeatedly, in the “quick start” and “product documentation”, it clearly states that after you turn it on the Wi-Fi light will start to blink. Wait for the WiFi to start blinking and then once it does start to blink, then (and only then) download the phone App and start the pairing process. The Wi-Fi light never came on, I tried the app anyway, and it could not find the device to pair it. Eventually the app gave up, and after several attempts, it suggested doing a reset on the unit (press and hold main button for ~7 seconds). Although the Wi-Fi light still never started continuously flashing, this time I was able to pair my phone with the unit. From there it was easy to create an account and connect to WiFi. SIZE: it is pretty substantial in size. About the size of 1.75 x paint cans stacked on top of each other and about 1.5 x the diameter of a paint can. EVERYDAY USAGE The device is quiet and unobtrusive when left to do its own thing on Auto. The app itself seems to have as its main function is to nag you to death to sign up for the filter subscription service. I was (and am) bombarded with “subscribe and save” request constantly when in the App. The App also serves to update the firmware and act as a remote control. One problem(?) I have is that even if I set the fan speed to max (which is very very loud 83db - about the range of a leaf blower according to the CDC can cause hearing damage after 2 hours), after some time it reverts on its own back to auto (low). For me this begs the question how much air it is actually cleaning at its lowest setting. I would like to be able to run it at full speed when I am not in the room. A timer function on the app would be nice. When in low/auto you can’t even hear the fan, so it should be fine for bedroom use when sleeping. I often get "lost WiFi signal error messages from the App". I can assure that I have 100% wifi coverage at both my phone location and the device itself. Both are within 10 feet or so of the wifi access points. Just close and restart the app. SUMMARY: For me the ultimate success or failure will be the expensive filter replaced program. I am perfectly fine replacing the filter when it is dirty and needs to be replaced. If my environment is relatively clean from VOC’s then I hope I can get 1 year from the filter. If instead, it just has an arbitrary 6 month replacement schedule, then I can’t see spending $100 to $150 every year in and year out for the rest of its life. Especially when I have no way to determine its impact or benefit. Taken to the extreme, I would need to get 10 of these units and then spend $1000 / year on replacement filters to accomplish whole house coverage. I would recommend this for someone with only 1 problem area in the house in a relatively small room. I know they sell larger units. For larger rooms you might want to explore those as well, including some of their bundles of multiple sized units.

    Kule Air-purifier

Molekule Air Mini+ I was super excited to get it and now more than ever clean healthy air has been top of mind! I’ll start with the pros: The cleaning technology is very interesting (Photo Electrochemical Oxidation PECO). I really like the approach Molekule has taken. My other purifiers are UV-C based to kill the viruses and mold. With the UV-C technology the air must be circulated serval times to really be able to disrupt the VOCs… or at least that is my understanding. Frankly, I’m not a biologist nor do I have a doctorate in air purifier cleaning technologies, so I just have to take them all at their word on the effectiveness of their technology. But If Molecule can knock out the VOC on the first go around with their PECO technology… well that’s pretty awesome and a big leap in the air-purification! If I get sick and have to quarantine in my house. I plan to have this in the room with me to hopefully not spread anything to the rest of my family through the air. The packaging and set up was very handsome and easy to use. I love how the air intake is circular and then expels the air out the top of the unit. It seems that the top to bottom pull and distribution of the air would lend itself to room circulation. I also like the little things that Molecule took the time to put into the unit. It has a power chord manager on the bottom of the unit so you can wrap up excessive chord and hide it easily. Nice. Easy handle to move it around that is sturdy. The hidden power button and fan settings that come to life when you touch the top of the unit is really cool. I also like the “active mode” concept that should regulate the fan speed based on my rooms air particulate saturation. The companion app (if you wanted to use it) is cool as well. It’s nice to be on the couch and turn the unit up and down as needed. I have it in my bedroom and blast the fan to setting 5 about an hour before I go to bed then turn it down with my phone from bed just before I turn the lights out. Really cool. The Cons: The app while cool, has dropped from time to time and Iv’e had to reset the unit once and restart my phone to get the app working again. The unit has a basic particulate detector. This is just for particulates and not any harmful fumes ect. Ok, great, but mine has shown “moderate” particulates for four days now and I have been running it mostly on active mode which should set the fan to the right speed to hopefully get it into the “good” air zone. I would have thought that four days on constant running in my bedroom with a mix of the “5” setting and “active mode” setting I would have clean air by now. My room is about 200 square feet. On the fourth day it went to “good” quality for a while after running it on level 5 for a couple of hours. but after I turned the fan speed down to “active mode” it went back to “moderate” air quality. I stepped it back up to “5” and it went back to a “good” air quality setting then went back to moderate after turning it down. To be fair, maybe my bedroom air is really particulate heavy… but I had a previous air purifier in the same spot running in that room for three months. How many days should it take to clean the air…even if it was really bad air??? It should be noted that it’s really quiet with the exception of the “5 setting” as one would expect on the high setting. Another thing to be aware of is the replacement filter is $75 and on a cursory look, I could not find a generic version probably because of the cool proprietary PECO tech they use. But all good air purifiers will need new filters so not a big deal but a consideration in ownership. Overall, I like this unit. I would have given it 5 if the app hadn’t dropped a couple times and the air been given a “good” rating after 4 days of continued use. If it only gives the "good" air on the “5” setting that’s not very practical as “5” setting is loud!

I have owned cheaper air filters in the past with traditional UV lights to kill germs, but they can create ozone which actually seemed to make my wife’s cough at night worse (she has asthma). This filter works differently and she said she could tell the difference. With other air filters you are also left wondering what fan speed to set and if they are effective. The particle monitor on this air filter gives you feedback on air quality and adjusts fan speed if needed. Pros - Great packaging - Cord storage in the base - Clean design - No constant on bright lights - Easy filter access - Particle monitor and automatic fan speed - App allows remote monitoring and control Things to Consider - Good filtering for its size, but it is a little big to use on a shelf or table near your bed (the location recommended in the manual). - The app asked me several times to sign up for auto-filter refills shortly after setup. It was easy enough to dismiss, but seemed a little pushy. - I had a little trouble with WiFi setup, but the app walked me thru a reset and then I was able to pair it with my iPhone. - There are 5 manual fan speeds and auto mode. The highest fan speeds (4-5) are too loud in manual mode, but I leave it in auto and it is normally a gentle hum - perfect white noise for sleeping. I would definitely recommend this air filter. It is well designed and it shows in everyday use.

    Attractive, but unproven technology?

The Molekule Air Mini+ is an air purifier – but not in the traditional sense compared to most others. It’s a small, round unit that’s about the size of a single room speaker, with a vegan leather handle on the side for carrying. It’s meant to be used in rooms up to 250 square feet, and meant to be placed on a table or counter, as it intakes your room’s air from the bottom, 360 degree intake area, and blows “clean” air out of the top, also at 360 degrees. Most air purifiers use a combination of carbon filters for larger contaminates, and then a HEPA filter of varying quality, to filter out smaller particles like dander, allergens, pet danger, etc. The Molekule systems use what they call a “PECO” type of system. This is a round filter which on the outer layer is mostly just a higher efficiency standard filter that is said to pick up larger contaminates and says it “slows down” VOCs (pollutants, gases?, etc) as they enter the main chamber. Once passing inside, they say the filter takes out more contaminates and they are exposed to what appears to be a UV light system. The Molekule site does not exactly explain what these bulbs actually are though – to me they simply look like UV bulbs I’ve seen in other systems (blue glow, etc). These bulbs are not discussed in detail on their site and are not shown in the replacement part area. From there, allegedly more volatile VOCs and contaminates are eliminated and your room air is left safer and cleaner. The + model gives you the advantage of connecting via 2.4 ghz wifi to an app where you can control the device remotely. I unfortunately could not get the app to stay connected to the device reliably, so I used the single button on the top of the unit that when pressed, shows you via glowing icons the speed (1-5), auto mode, and more. It doesn’t use a lot of power (around 55 watts max) and is reasonably quiet through setting 3, and getting progressively louder from there. I could use it on 1-2 in the bedroom at night, but it got too loud beyond that for sleeping. Since I do not have any scientific devices to measure air particle quality in a room, I can only say that the room “smelled” (?) cleaner after using this for a couple of days. Replacement filters run around $69, but you can subscribe and have them send you two per year (change every 6 months) for $99 per year. But now, a complaint – smell… When placing your face near the air exhaust, there is a very distinct odor coming out of the purifier. It’s hard to describe. It’s ALMOST like an ionizer smell, though they make no mention of an ionizer being in this unit. I’ve never smelled anything from UV bulb units before, so I’m not sure what this odor is, and it’s as strong 10 days into using it as it was on day-1. At the time of this writing I have not heard back from them via email about what this is (you do not want something that ionized the air full time, FYI). More on that later I guess. So, this is a hard one to rate. The Molekule Mini + is indeed very attractive. It moves a lot of air for the size, and promises to get rid of contaminates that other machines may miss. But it is VERY expensive, and vague on exactly how it’s technology works in great detail. I find it intriguing, but as-sold, not really sure I can recommend this over traditional HEPA based systems for the price, and the unproven technology and odd exhaust odor.

I have enjoyed my time with the Molekule Mini+. The app is simple to use, but takes a couple tries to get it to connect to the device. Device is virtually silent on the first two fan speeds, the other three are Loud. Level 3 could be tolerated for a bit but 4 and 5 sound like leaf blowers. As far as performance it seems to work well. I have 3 cats and we do our due diligence to maintain the smells, but this device does assist in getting the rest. Also has an auto feature that adjust the fans as air quality changes to clear up the air better, turns up when I have been less than attentive while cooking lol. Also it looks very nice, modern and "discreet". Best in bedroom or kitchens.

Really great product! Worth the extra money. It was so easy to set up, portable, user friendly & helped purify our air so quickly (after bad flood damage to our home). Will be purchasing more for the smaller rooms in our home.
