Customers recognize the Air Mini's positive impact on air quality and its appealing design, citing ease of setup and effective odor removal as key benefits. However, some users find the device's sound level at higher settings to be excessive, and the cost of replacement filters a significant drawback. The app functionality also received mixed reviews. Overall, the purifier's effectiveness is frequently praised, but potential buyers should consider the noise and filter replacement expenses.

Great purifier. Easy to setup and filter is easy to install. Can be controlled through the Molekule app. Cleans air very fast for a small to average size bedroom.

Ok. The device itself is fine...the filters are too pricey($99 a year-docked one star) also. If you are wanting to get this i recimend the molekule air better...seamless conectivity...this one was a disaster to set up...advise you to download the app and read the reviews..if you get this, l have the big one in my living room and this one in my bedroom...theres a known connectivity issue with cox(if you dont have a mesh system) and wit spectrum and a third provider. If you get this and cant connect..know and ask that they push a cox update to your device while you are connected at someone elses house with it...after 3 appointments with customer service, they finally did that and it works fine. Dont go through all those calls and ask for this solution right away...because no matter what you do it wont connect(docked another star)

Very hard to get working. Minimal setting. I think its half price bc it should never have been kept on the market. Once running only has one setting but I can say the air is cleaner.

Worst air filter I’ve ever purchased. When I purchased I made the mistake of not trying to set it up immediately or I would’ve returned it. I spent weeks going back and forth with a useless customer support team on connecting it to WiFi, they blamed the wifi then my router then me even though I have a smart home setup with 3 wifi enabled dyson filters as well.
Stay far far away and save for dyson or go with a different brand.

Although it has an app, I like to use the manual feature. It has 5 fan settings. The greatest is the most powerful and can exchange air in the room pretty quickly, though the loudest. I take it to work and run it on high in my office (10x10) for about an hour. I then switch on the lowest two settings which I can barely here. I like the air quality/filter light as well. Price here was better than elsewhere, too.Highly recommend!

Molekule Air Mini
The Molekule Air Mini is small in size but really packs a punch when it comes to air flow. On the lowest setting it is super quiet. On the highest setting you really don’t want to be in the same room with it. The speed setting are 1 through 5. 1 and 2 are quiet and work for using it in your room without being disturbed. Setting 3 is about the same as having a fan on in the room and if you need white noise for sleeping this is probably the setting for you. Settings 4 and 5 are for cleaning a room while your not in it. Here are the air flow readings I got while testing. 1 = 200 Ft/Min, 2 = 315 Ft/Min, 3 = 400 Ft/Min, 4 = 530 Ft/Min, 5 = 880 Ft/Min. This unit works with the APP that can be downloaded.
About the APP. Once downloaded (Android), it installs and setup is easy but not completely straight forward. It switched my phones Wi-Fi in order to talk to the air filter. Once it seemed to be done it restarted the air filter but would not connect. It took me a minute to discover that although it had put the air filter on my Wi-Fi it did not switch my phone back to my Wi-Fi. Once I switch my phone back to my Wi-Fi it did connect to the filter and allowed me to finish the setup. One very odd thing happened right after the setup, I had all the functions of the plus model. Auto mode, Particle sensor, Dark mode, and Dark mode scheduling. This model is not supposed to have these options. Within about 5 minutes all the plus options were gone and I was left with just the normal options. The really odd thing is, the air filter seemed to understand the plus options when I was playing with them. This goes along with the conflicting information when unboxing. 1 set of instructions says the Mini does not have Wi-Fi or APP controls. Yet another says it does. Bottom line is, it does. And it seemed to have the plus options for a few minutes. Probably once it communicated with their server it configured the APP for my filter. There is one thing missing that I would really like to see, a timer. The documentation says to run it 24/7, but that’s not how I use my air filters. I run them all on their timers. When I’m going to be in a room for a while, I set the timer for how long I expect to be in there. This unit does not have that capability. For this price it should have a timer, there’s no excuse for it not having one. Running it 24/7 would just deplete the filter faster. Sounds more like a money grab to sell filter replacements that are $75.00 each. I guess it makes sense if you have asthma or something, but just for normal air quality filtering a timer and longer filter life, or less expensive filters, should be standard. The air enters the filter from the bottom outside of the unit. After going thru the specialized filter element the air then passes over a series of UV-A LEDs. This is supposed to kill off and destroy anything remaining. However, there is no filter after the UV-A lights. So anything destroyed by the UV-A lights is then just returned to the room. Again, for the cost I would expect something a little better designed. The UV-A lights should be on the outside as well as the inside so particles get blasted before the filter and again after it.
Pros.
Is it a good air filter? Yes, it does a good job for it’s size and makes up for that by having fan setting to get the most out of it.
You can control it without the APP.
It is easy to use and understand.
It is easy to change the filter.
Cons.
Filter replacements are overly expensive.
They want you to run it 24/7.
I don’t believe the placement of the UV-A lights is optimal for what it is trying to do. They should add a row of UV-C lights at the air intake vent.
No timer function, this would be an easy fix with the APP.

Can't Connect the Device

Giving it 2 stars out of fairness. I can't really say whether or not the actual air purifier is good or not because I could not get it to connect to the app and without the app you really can't change the settings or see what the device is doing so I plan on returning mine. I scoured the internet and tried every fix suggested and even listed on Molekule's website and still could not get the device to connect. Apparently this is a well known issue for their devices--just check out the Molekule app reviews. Some users have suggested that connecting through the HomeKit app on the iphone will bypass connection issues. However, you have to purchase your device directly from Molekule or Apple because apparently the ones sold elsewhere don't support it. I'm assuming that's why this device is on sale.
I will also note that there is a very strong smell upon first use which I hope is due to the fact that is was being run for the first time and I only had it running for about 2 hours so maybe it takes longer for the smell to go away. I also had a lot of difficulty removing the top part to take the filter out of the plastic and I was afraid I would break it.

Brand response from Molekule Support

We're sorry to hear about your experience with the Air Mini. We understand the challenges around the connectivity problems you've described, and we take them very seriously. Our team is constantly working to improve our app experience. As for Apple Home Kit, this feature is only available for the Air Mini+. We recommend contacting our Customer Service team for any ongoing issues you're still experiencing. Additionally, our air purifiers go through an off-gassing period that can last 24-48 hours and should dissipate over time once the air quality in the room is maintained. If you're having difficulty removing the air purifier parts, please visit our website for videos and additional instructions.

Air quality in my home hasn’t really improved, only difference i really noticed is the air seems to get heavier. I feel like it makes more noise than clean air, sounds like a mini vacuum. Support was no help also.

Seems to work ok, can’t say I’ve noticed a huge difference in air quality. But the filter is dirty so it’s catching some stuff. Probably best for a small space. Had some trouble getting the app to work.
