Really good movie and great actors. Seems very realistic and kind of scaring how these things could happen.

We may all be created equal, but we are certainly not all born into the same circumstances. In order for our system to work the way it is designed to things must remain this way. People must continue to fail or slip through the cracks of said system so that we not only have opportunities for exceptionally driven individuals to thrive, but also for those who are unable to make it past being the breakfast manager at McDonald's. We are all created equal, but it's what we do with that equality and the opportunity this state of mind affords us no matter how many advantages or disadvantages we 're born into. It is in this idea of equality that Jodie Foster seems to find an in to this story cobbled together by three screenwriters that seemingly wants to be about something, but in the end is more a slight encapsulation of the time we're living in than a piece of art that reflects or examines the time that has spawned it. Money Monster is Foster's fourth directorial feature and undoubtedly her biggest film to date, but it is this bigger feel, this corporate mandated aesthetic and approach that hinders more than helps in whatever Foster's actual objective might be. And so, it begins by Foster and her team of screenwriters (including Jamie Linden, Alan DiFiore, and Jim Kouf) looking at how the little man might take on the privileged and exploring equality from that perspective, but as we come to learn more details about the situation and the plot becomes more clear in that it is going to blame the downfall that was the catalyst for the outrageous (but not unbelievable) actions of one of our main characters on a single bad guy who did a single bad thing instead of making this an amalgamation of bad choices and ethically wrong dealings there is a hint that it might become more about equality in the sense of taking responsibility for ourselves and our actions whatever they may be no matter where we fall in society's class system. Had Money Monster delved more into an idea Dominic West's character spouts near the end of the film and come to something of a less pleasant conclusion, but a more realistic one I imagine the film might have struck more of a nerve, but as it is and as it goes Money Monster is simply a neat little thriller that is consistently entertaining.

While Jodie Foster purports that the character isn't based on Jim Cramer, for those who've watched that kind of show with that type of personality host, it's tough not to draw the conclusion. Totally enjoyable and a few twists in what you'd expect in some sections of the movie, and that keeps you on your toes. And, while Clooney and Roberts shot few scenes together, you wouldn't know it.

Money Monster takes you through a twisted maze of the characters various stories. It lands on a surprising tension filled end note, and it's well directed by Jodie Foster. The story background, mostly about the financial industry, how it's manipulated and rigged by insiders, how the financial news media hypes and supports that corruption. Sounds a little technical and boring, but the acting is great and the stories twists keep you guessing till it's conclusion.

I enjoyed this well made thriller, there were excellent performances from George Clooney and Julia Roberts, along with taut direction from Jodie Foster. This look into the cost of Wall Street, banks and the effect it has on the lives of the little man are riveting and well played out on this canvas.

George Clooney at his finest. As a bonus, we also get a wonderful performance from Julia Roberts. Theme: The politics and personal tragedies from lack of responsibility - ordinary people placing their faith in TV personalities. The cult of supposed wisdom: If you are rich and famous, then you must have the answers to life's difficulties. Toss in a little insanity, subterfuge, and revenge and you have the makings of a great drama.

This movie is quite good. The cast is great and it really gets you thinking. After losing his life savings to a computer glitch, a young man tries to confront the CEO of the company responsible. However, he does it by taking over a tv show and holding the host hostage. A thrilling movie that will have you glued to the tv until the very end.

Markets have tanked and people are mad.....one person blames the tv show host for miss leading him and others. When in reality it was some people in the company that lead to its collapse during the market down turn.

Good character interaction. Decent action overall, story moved along without things getting too drawn out. No big action movie, no big laughing comedy... just a decent entertaining movie, makes you think a bit

Intense. High tension drama with a economic-political subtext. Hard to get past Clooney, Roberts, and ensemble cast, and the conflation of contemporary 'real' references, but everyone does their part well.

This is a subject matter that probably happens more than you want to admit it. The financial system is so rigid against the regular hard working Joe. Well this is a story about one that fights back.

Very seldom am I taken by surprise in today's movies. The acting was great, no shock there considering the stars. The plot was fresh and meaningful, seemingly ripped from current events and attitudes.

Was a bit surprised by this movie. Thought this was going to be a boring, "look at me I'm Clooney!" Movie... But, it wasn't too bad. It still had that "drag on" factor. It was worth a look-see.
