I replaced a 48” stove that self destructed in the self cleaning mode. It was a Dacor stove and had some good features but the uneven temperature of the oven was a constant source of frustration. When roasting I was constantly turning the item in the oven to get an even result. Baking was always dicey as I could not rely uniform heat distribution.
When I decided on a GE Monogram to replace it I read the reviews and was cautiously optimistic. Well I am more that pleased with this stove and am baking again and enjoying the results. Everything I’ve done has come out perfectly. No more turning items to be roasted as they also come out perfectly - I couldn’t be happier. The only drawback was I needed to make a choice on whether to get the grill or griddle that goes with the six burners.
The burners heat evenly and it doesn’t take a long time to boil water. Excellent simmer setting that really simmers. The burner grates are easy to clean and accommodate a wok too. I chose the griddle with the cutting board as I could not imagine cleaning a fixed grill- I would have like to opt for 8 burners but that was not an option. I’m very happy with the stove after six months of trying a variety different food preparations and I‘m happy to recommend it.
