I enjoyed the 3DS game a lot, so I had to get this one. Better visuals and grander scope, sold. It has a sort of pokemans-ish type of gameplay.

Absolutely a great game and better then the first version on 3DS. It is not as good as MHR though. Thus, the four stars. I got this for $10 cheaper then MSRP so watch for the sales. Definitely worth being in your switch collection. I also recommend buying physical because its a large game. Less space on the SD Card.

Amazing game if you enjoy monster collecting RPGs. It is important to note that you do not need to play the first game to play through and follow the story of this game.

I haven't played Pokemon Legends Arceus but heard this game plays a bit like it! The game is pretty fun with a decent cast of Monsters to recruit. One of the characters in the game is a bit annoying but does mean well! Overall, I recommend fans of RPG genre give this a try!

Great game! Gameplay is a combination of pokemon and monster hunter. The free dlc that has came out since launch has made it a game i go back to play.

Very fun and long game. Would like to try out other games in the series as well. The graphics are also excellent!

I highly recommend this game because for me the story was interesting, the characters were great to understand.

I am not even a fan of the other Monster Hunter games (World, Rise, etc...), but this game was AMAZING! It is probably in my top 3 Switch games (along with Breath of the Wild and the Pokémon Mystery Dungeon remake). The story is great, gameplay is extremely fun, graphics are fantastic, and Multiplayer Co-op missions are a great way to have fun after beating the Single-Player. Even if you aren't normally a fan of the Monster Hunter games I have to say just at least try this game out because it is so good!

Amazing game I wasn't expecting it to be as great as it is. It is a truly remarkable game due to the immersion it offers giving the feeling of being one with your monstie and gaining new insights to the how monsters in monster hunter live and act. This game is honestly better than Monster Hunter Rise and I believe this game has put Game Freak to shame with Pokemon because this is what Pokemon should have evolved into. Give it a try I'm sure there will be a competitive base that pops up from this game!

This is an amazing RPG game. It will keep you entertained for hours and hours. Especially if you want to farm the best monsters.

Monster Hunter Stories is an excellent RPG on the wretch, taking monster hunter elements and making them accessible to anyone.

Totally worth a purchase BUT the framerate is awful in the 2 beginning sections of the game, villages as well. It gets more stable as you enter snow and desert levels and beyond tho. Games a bit easy too which is a shame given how lovely and deep the battle system is....especially all the gene management you can do with your monsties. Why this is a negative is the easiness of the game never really make you want to utilize gene management or give a lot of consideration to the the elemental armor, weapons or monsties when entering battles. Story is just kind of ok, but there is a lot of repetition to the environments and lack of depth to them. Kind of bummer. Still there is a lot fun to be had.

Good game just poorly optimized. Lots of monsters to train and monsters to hunt. I just wish Best Buy was more responsible with the preorder bonus. I contacted Capcom support they told me that it was the retailer that had to give me the preorder bonus.

Never plays stories 1 but playing the demo for Stories 2 instantly hooked me. I love JRPGs and coming off the heels of Monster Hunter Rise i instantly loved this combination of game. The combat is easy to get into with good depth. Campaign takes a good amount of time to complete easily 20+ hours just main story, while plenty to do on the side from monster collecting, xp grind, crafting, arenas, online co-op and pvp. Great package start to finish.

I was stunned to find that this game wasn’t just just some minor spinoff of Monster Hunter Rise— it’s a gigantic high-quality JRPG in Pokemon-style, except it has a great story. The campaign is lengthy, and the postgame is even longer, with tons and tons to do after the final boss. The combat is engaging and strategic, although my one complaint is that it takes several hours before fights become remotely difficult. Lastly, the music is fantastic and complex.
