||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.i bought this for my house in florida...the land of lighting strikes...this past summer, there was an apparent surge in my house...i actually have a 'whole house' protector from florida power and light...but it didnt help. i have one tv plugged into a different surge protector, along with a cable box, and a dtv box (for the football!)...after the surge...the cable box was kaput..and the HDMI input port on my tv that the DTV box was wired into was also kaput..but the TV/cable boxes that was in another room, plugged into the Monster surge protector? absolutely no issues whatsoever.
