It produces power that is not as clean as what our power companies make thus you can have more electrical surges that have the potential of damaging our sensitive electronic equipment. I have used Monster products in the past however my Electrician advised me to get one of the better Monster surge protectors. So far so good, money well spent.

Handled all my home theater needs.

Additionally , old protector provide a jammed , unattractive port for my seven home theater uses. The Monster has changed this - and how!
