    The picture on my 40" Samsung HD TV was impaired by frequent power outages in this area, requiring me to buy a new TV. And each outage would require a restart of the DirectTV box. Since I have had this Monster surge protector I have had no problems at all after power outages.

    This is a really nice surge protector. I haven't had any thunderstorms since I got it so I can't say how well it works against surges. Having the replacement coverage if anything gets damaged from a surge while plugged into the protector is nice.

    When you're spending thousands of dollars on your electronics, do not trust the wall to make sure the components are safe from surges and dirty power. This will regulate power so your electronics get exactly what they need. Plus the insurance coverage? Can't go wrong.
