    Applecare used to be amazing several years ago. You could easily get your products serviced without jumping through any hoops. If you cracked your iPhone or needed any repairs on my Macbook I was able to go to the store, wait an hour and get my issues resolved usually on the spot. Be it an instant replacement phone or them diagnosing any other issues I have. During the whole battery repair/recall a few years ago, they repaired my battery but broke my beloved iPhone 6s and refused to take responsibility. So I had to buy the terrible iPhone 7r and the iPhone has never been as good or stable as the 6s. I used to be able to keep an iPhone for 4 years, now it seems like I'm replacing it every 2 yrs. These days if I need service, I have to jump through hoops - schedule appointments that are a week out, no more instant iPhone replacements - have to be sent out for service, so no phone for over a week, they don't seem to have the ability to fix issues in the stores like they used to. They do the bare minimum which is run their diagnostic software and either never find anything or say "send" it out. One of the main reasons I was loyal to Apple was the excellent in store service and now that's completely gone. I still recommend getting it, simply because it's foolish to buy these expensive products without having some sort of protection, but yes I wish I wasn't stuck in their eco system at this point. I don't like Android at all.
