In praise of protection plan

It was a few dollars more than the work would cost. Well, it finally quit working through no fault of Geek Squad, it was 12 years old. I was so glad to hear there was no charge for transferring data to my new computer because I had the protection plan.

We had never purchased a desktop computer off the shelf - all our computers had been custom built. I did extensive research on over the counter computers and then I asked Dennis Reed (Geek Squad Technician) for his recommendation. He recommended the very same computer that I had narrowed my search down to. It had Windows 11 - which for once has been an improvement versus the usual nightmare every time Windows changes versions. The computer has performed beyond expectations in all aspects - especially with the setup assistance and refinements provided by Dennis and the Geek Squad team.

The Geek Squad transferred all my files over and set up my new Office 365 at no additional cost. Great time saver!

In-store products are great for use, but be warned apple products can have a hidden charge with Geek squad regardless of your items being covered.
